The dock is difficult with Ranger type fishing boats ….can’t easily handle multiple boats due to lack of posts for bumpers….boats will drift underneath docking system

Amazing, Spacious, on the water..

We had a group of 5 guys and 2 boats. We just loved the house. Great sleeping quarters for all and so much food prep area. Very comfortable furniture and up to date appliances. Tons of fridge and freezer space. Highlight for me is the easy access to get on lake st Clair.

No reliable internet connection

We enjoyed ourselves. Were disappointed when the internet didn’t work. No response from the host to address this issue during our stay. It was a good thing none of us had any pressing work to do online.

Lighthouse Cove Luxury

This is a great property. Very clean and well appointed with pretty much anything you would need. Kitchen has a great layout and lots of room for more than one person to prepare gourmet meals with two stovetops and ovens. Easy to find by land or water and docks are large and sturdy. Just check the waterlevels if you plan to dock a boat under about 20ft..

Great place

Overall this place is amazing. Huge fridge in the kitchen and massive walk in pantry. (w/second fridge) Lot's of space inside and out for all your needs. One callout: We visited in Oct and the water level was so low we couldn't dock our boats. There is a marina just around the corner but they charge $30 each day. Check in with host before you book to confirm water level.

Great Family Vacay Spot

We stayed here July 2022. Great spot, tons to do and see. Cottage was great inside! More than you can ask for. Worked great for our family with 2 kids and mother. Kitchen is well stocked with a massive fridge! My only downside to this review is that the backyard is needing some TLC. Deck is dangerous. Chairs legs falling throuh deck boards when you sit, and or loose boards, or rotten boards. Furniture out there could use an upgrade as well. All in all it was a great time! We enjoyed the water and cottage all week! Will be back!!

Beautiful Relaxing Property and Setting!!

We were a party of 4 seperate families, 8 people in total and arrived friday afternoon, checking out Tuesday morning.. We were immediately impressed!. The Cottage is well laid out, spacious, clean, well appointed and stunning! The fact that it looks directly onto the river only adds to the ambiance. The pictures on line DO NOT do this property justice, it is BEAUTIFUL! The Owners thought of everything,. It was an addedd bonus to have such a large Fridge and freezer to store food and drinks, they provided a hair dryer, pods and dryer sheets for laundry and even extras such as a blender and waffle maker. The Kitchen offers lots of prep space and the cozy fireplace, seperating the two seating areas was much appreciated. The master bedroom has a king bed and HUGE walk in closet, the two other bedrooms were smaller in size; yet comfortable, nicely decorated and well appointed. We specifically chose this property as it mentioned 3 en suite bathrooms, each with showers; unfortunately, after the first night we discovered that the one shower WAS NOT USABLE since the shower head sprayed and leaked water everywhere, causing a near flood in that one particular bathroom. This issue was mentioned to Marcel, our host. He was freindly, couteous and responded to all messages and calls quickly. Marcel explained that they just replaced this shower head; however, why this was not checked to ensure it functioned properlyy before welcoming guests, was an oversight. As this was a long weekend, he explained that this messsy, leaking shower could not be remedied during our stay, which was inconvenient, causing a lack of privacy as now 4 families had to share 2 showers. Although our host was polite, we were dissappointed, as no verbal apology was offered, nor even a small attempt to make up for this inconvenience, such as offering a later check out perhaps. Despite this, we all greatly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to re book in the future. The putting green with multiple exterior areas to sit and relax was a bonus. Note, the deck could use some work as some of the wood is aging;. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean and spacious Cottage with a lovely view, this is the place for you!! We as a group thoroughly enjoyed this property and wish we could have extended our stay!

September get away

A very unique part of Ontario. We choose this home for the putting green and the chance to kayak through the canals. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Would be a great house to take the rest of our family to.

Nice place to spend a weekend with friends or family

We spent a couple of days at Marcel's place in Sep 2021. The place itself is beautiful. The mini-golf thing was an add-on. Each one of us liked the cottage and we would definitely visit again.

Lighthouse Cove is lovely

We very much enjoyed our stay in Lighhouse Cove. The cottage is spacious, well decorated with comfortable beds. The inside is really nice, and the kitchen is great. You will never run out of fridge or freezer space. The price is quite high, but that mat just be the way it is nowadays. The backyard is getting very tired. The boards on the deck are coming apart and you couldn't walk around with bare feet because some of the boards were lose and the screws would pop up and hurt your feet. The bbq was very dirty. We still used it, but definitely had issues with it. Both sinks in the ensuite bathroom were having a lot of trouble draining, so could use some attention. Overall, thought there were some issues, it's a great place, and we would certainly consider staying there again.

Enjoyed the house and the beautiful area. Lots of space for the whole family. The pictures are represented of the house. There are lots of golf courses to choose. Would rent again if in the area.
