Excellent location right off the metro (Budapest offers free travel on all metro for seniors citizens) Very secure. It has three separate locks to get into the apartment between the street level and the apartment. Large comfortable living room and Beds. All appliances functioned well. We were all disappointed that the view was greatly reduced. we could not see out of the very large living room windows that are pictured on the VRBO ad (it was the feature that motivated us to rent the apartment.). The owners of this building all agreed to have a very large advertisement hung outside in front of three stories of windows in trade for building maintenance. All understandable, but not the fact that he didn’t change the picture in the VRBO ad.If we left the curtains open, we had a picture of a very large woman’s head looking into the room. Then, at night the spotlights came on. The second concern was that the en suite tub was very unsafe to get in, was difficult to shower and required excessive care to prevent flooding the floor. It was 24 inches high and 12” wide and didn’t have a shower but a hand held bar shaped spray. There was no plug for the drain rendering the tub unusable. Any water from the spray that hit the walls or its half shower door drained out of the tub instead of into it. There is no grab bar and is slippery making it difficult for older persons to negotiate safely. The owner was very responsive to our requests and apologized for the advertisement.
