Unit was great! Very clean. I was only disappointed with items in the kitchen. Oven were so this I burned myself, and there were no sheet pans or larger pans for cooking. We were there for Thanksgiving so it made it somewhat difficult to cook for a larger group. There was just one larger Pyrex baking dish. We had a brief issue with the dishwasher but management sent someone to fix it quickly. No complaints really. Would stay there again.

Maui Vacation

Condo was fabulous and the views were amazing! Check in was rough as condo was not ready at 4:00pm as guaranteed. But property manager compensated us. Construction going on in some of the buildings which we were not made aware of prior. Resort staff were outstanding and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful!

We were not disappointed. This unit has it all, and I imagine it is one of the best at Honua Kai. Each morning we woke up to the lovely sound of the birds then relaxed on the spacious balcony with our coffee and beautiful views! There was plenty of room for the 5 of us, even with one member of our party working remotely for a fraction of our vacation. The laundry room was very convenient and no longer has an odor as mentioned in a previous review. Also, the beach chairs were new and very handy. The kitchen is clean and worked well for cooking breakfast as well as a couple of dinners. There’s a food truck area very close by with a variety of food. Duke’s is on the premises and also serves the pool area. There is good snorkeling along the beach. The elevator can be slow. Being on the 3rd floor, we enjoyed using the stairs which are right next to the unit. There was zero noise from the other units. The bedrooms do not have ocean views but the living area, kitchen, balcony views are incredible. Two of the three bedrooms have attached bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. We had the best time and would definitely rent this unit again!

Disappointed for the price

The corner location, overall space, and ocean-front view was amazing. However, the condo needed attention. The toilet did not flush properly, there were unsightly stains on the fabric furniture, the laundry unit smelled like mold, the beach chairs were rusty and ripped, and the light-up makeup mirrors in both bathrooms did not light up. Given the price we paid for our stay, the condo did not meet our expectations.

Great view

This was our 3rd stay at the Honua Kai Resort (within 3 different, 3 bedroom residences), the grill on the patio and the larger outdoor space really made this unit stand out for us. But what impressed us the most was the management company, Maui Resort Rentals. Their free shuttle service practically anywhere you wanted to go on the island was so convenient and always on time. And, everyone, from the staff answering the phones, shuttle driver, to the management was so friendly, courteous and quick on response time to answer any questions. So no matter which rental you pick, be sure to go with Maui Resort Rentals. And if you happen to pick this residence, you will be very happy you did!

Beautiful Property

The unit is just as beautiful as the photos present. The kitchen has the sharpest knives I've ever used at a rental. The rental company was very responsive when I asked for some hot pads/oven mitts and tongs. They also quickly handled a non-working TV remote. There are beach chairs and a couple of beach umbrellas to use. The beach is nice . I would recommend water shoes as there are rocks right along the water line (my son cut the bottom of his foot). There is some great snorkeling areas right in front of the unit - lots of coral, fish, and urchins to see. I did leave the rental company some notes on things that needed to be addressed (noisy fan in one bedroom, non-working ignitor on the grill), but based on earlier response I am confident that they'll get those handled. This is a wonderful unit and worth the uptick in cost.

Paradise in Konea 402

The condo was very tastefully appointed and stocked w everything we needed to cook and play on the beach (chairs,coolers, boogie boards). Loved having a grill on our large outdoor living space. The 3 bedroom unit was very spacious. My only complaint would be the pillows, they were terrible. But all in all an outstanding unit. The resort did have issues with the wristbands bands not working to open the front gate as well as the hang tag for the car not opening the garage gate. Parking in the garage in evening was always a challenge, not enough spaces for the number of cars. These issues were of the resort not our specific condo.

Had a good time. Unit was very nice. A couple of items did not work, dishwasher and toilet ran all the time but overall the unit was very nice and we had a great time

Fantastic Place

Actually, the photos don’t do this place justice. This is a wonderful, 3 bedroom apartment, well equipped and maintained, and the best views on the property. Great restaurant (Duke’s) on the property, but we also had a private chef for a couple nights (used Key Concierge for this) which was outstanding since the outdoor eating area is beautiful in itself. Just a perfect place. We will return!

Such a beautiful condo all three of the couples were very pleased there was a few issue for sure needs a new dishwasher missing a few things that would of been handy like a salad spinner BUT seriously would stay there again in a second ❤️

We enjoyed our stay overall. The condo was spacious and comfortable with great views.

Management was responded and checked in with us through out our stay. However, it would have been nice to have at least one complimentary cleaning given how much we had to pay. Otherwise, great experience.

Great week at Honua Kai

We shared this beautiful and well appointed condo with another family (7 total: 4 adults and 3 older kids) and had a great time at Honua Kai (Konea Tower). The views from the condo are to die for and the condo is very nice, with all the extras you would expect in a luxury experience. There's a very nice spa in the building, which is awesome, as well as a convenient and well stocked general store and a serviceable beach restaurant (Duke's) for a quick bite or breakfast. The beach was just ok, pretty tight (sand to water) and very rocky and steep right at the waterline so bring water shoes and though I saw lot's of younger kids IMO it's not really ideal for little ones. The pool is very nice and oriented to families vs. just relaxing. There is very good snorkeling right off the beach down towards the main Westin property so that's cool. The location itself is perfect for access to West Maui's many other wonderful beaches, whale watching and great restaurants of Lahaina and Kapalua. Easy covered parking was also a plus. Nick at Maui Resort Rentals was a great partner before and while we were there. I highly recommend the condo and Maui Resort Rentals.

Great set up and location.

We have stayed an Honua Kai many times. Great family set up. Especially, the end units with full on view and BBQ on the large terrace. The local management company was very responsive to any needs we had.

What a great time we had in beautiful Konea 350!

The condo was set up so perfect for our big family, and we felt so at home with the accommodations. The kitchen was very complete for our needs, and having a full grocery store across the road was so convenient. The staff was so nice to drop off leis for our family members who were delayed on their flight in, even to the point of making their way through a downpour to deliver the leis to us before they arrived. They also brought us extra blankets for our group. The pools were great, the access to Duke's Restaurant and the beach was wonderful, but THAT view from the condo was incredible! We even spotted whales breaching from our lanai! Christmas Day was amazing and we would be so pleased to stay here again!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay. Three grandparents and a family of four which included a 2 year old and 6 year old. We all had plenty of room and enjoyed the linai every minute that we could. Two of the three pools were under construction which was hugely disappointing, however Maui Resort Realty accommodated the situation very well. The views, the location, Maui Resort Realty, and the condo were all wonderful.

Wonderful Ocean front unit.

Best unit at Honua Kai for view, living accommodation and activities. Two master suites plus extra full bathroom (not 1/2) for 3rd bedroom and living areas. Prestige appliances, extra comfy beds and spectacular sunsets. Maui Resort Realty provided superior service (by Chris, Nicole, Mark and others) from reservations, pre-arrival info, check in and during the visit. They treat guests better than family with cheerful service. We intend to be "repeat guests"!

Terrific Location and Condo

The Honea Kai resort worked out beautifully for our family. Even in late August the temperature range (70-88 degrees) was very comfortable. The water slide was a big hit and having such easy access to both the pools and the beach was a real plus. Konea 350 is a beautiful 3 bedroom unit located near stairs that made it much faster to get to/from the pool area. I was glad we didn't pick a condo higher up. The ocean/resort view was terrific and wrap around lanai very spacious. We will be highly recommending both the resort and this unit to family and friends.
