Una casa independiente con una magnífica vista del Sognefjord. A pocos cientos de metros de la casa se experimentan las majestuosas montañas y escuchar los sonidos de rugir cascadas. Este es un lugar realmente único, y una oportunidad única de experimentar el famoso Nærøyfjord, declarado Patrimonio de la UNESCO en todo su esplendor.
Para adultos con intereses musicales, ¡un piano de cola podría estar disponible!

Sin embargo, su central, a sólo un corto paseo desde el centro de Gudvangen, el ferry y los autobuses turísticos. El verano es temporada alta, y muchos de nuestros huéspedes reservar un año de antelación. La ubicación también vale la pena experimentar en primavera, otoño e invierno, ya que está a sólo un corto trayecto de algunas de las mejores estaciones de esquí de Escandinavia, Voss y Myrkdalen.

Great place to explore the area of Gudvangen

A lovely house, with all the things that you might need for a weeks holiday. Note, that, because your car needs to be parked at the bottom of the hill, that you need to walk up and down the hill if you are going out or coming home (with groceries). Host is very kind and helpfull.

Gudvangen Holiday Cottage

The house is beautiful and in a stunning location, set very peacefully just above the village and the fjord. The hosts kindly gave us a lift to and from the bus at the start and end of our stay, although the house is not far from the centre of the village. There are many activities in Gudvangen such as kayaking, hydro-biking and the Viking Centre, as well as many wonderful walks and boat trips.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gudvangen. The home is beautifully decorated as it felt as if it was a Norwegian grandmother's home. There were waterfall and fjord views from the home. It is located on a hill so you need to be able to walk up and down the hill for groceries and transportation. We are in our 70's and had no problems with the walk. We did not have a car so Asbjorn helped us with our luggage to and from the ferry. Ferry ride from Flam to Gudvangen is magical. Excellent bus connections to Flam and Voss. Flam Welcome Center was very helpful in arranging activities. There are a lot of activities in the area. Gudvangen is very relaxing compared to Flam. The grocery store in Gudvangen is well supplied. We highly recommend this home.

In the land of the vikings

Easy drive from Bergen, met our host at arranged place, who took us up to the house. Exactly as in the photos. The most spectacular view even in the Norwegian rain!, of which it does quite a lot. However the next day brilliant sunshine and we walked to Bakka along the side of the fjord. Then back to the very squeaky but comfortable house. The host was charming and we wished we would have spent longer chatting. But our week ended and on to our next Norwegian house.

Great location and private

We loved our stay at the old farm house overlooking the fjord . Gudvagen means Gods place by the water. The house was very charming , reminding me of a house in Italy . It was very private with the best view of the fjord without a bunch of tourist . We went to ferry area and walked down a trail to a small tunnel . We decided to drive in the tunnel and found the a cow and two ponies to feed apples to. We went to Flåm to ride the rail up to a village . We were happy to leave behind all the tourist to head back to our lovely farm house sitting high up on a hill over looking the fjords . I could see the fjord from almost every room and hear the waterfalls at night . Thank you Liv for meeting me at the shell station and showing me around . I will be staying at your farm house again in the future .

A fantastic house with a fantastic view

We had a fantastic stay in this house. The interior design is very beautiful and every part has been carefully selected. The vintage style gives the house a very esthetic atmosphere and we felt very at home there, everything you need for your stay is provided. The view is amazing, every window shows a new perspective on the fjord. You can even see a few waterfalls going down the mountains. The landscape is full of mountains and you have to walk about 400 m steeply up to reach the house - so it's important to be light on your feet. Liv and Asbjørn are very friendly hosts, Asbjørn brought all our luggage up to the house and told us everything we needed to know about our stay and even many interesting facts about the region. Gudvangen is a very nice place to start activities from: We took the Flåm train up the mountains, rushed down into the valley with the zip line and rented some bikes for a nice cycling tour. From Gudvangen you can also easily reach a lot of landmarks like the Vøringsfossen or the Stegastein. We thoroughly enjoyed the week we stayed there and would absolutely recommend booking it.

Sehr schöne, ruhige Zeit am Fjord

Das Ferienhaus liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel mit wunderbarem Fjordblick. Damit befindet man sich abseits des touristischen Trubels in Gudvangen, kann aber jederzeit die Vorzüge des kleinen Supermarkts in direkter Nähe oder der verschiedenen Restaurants nutzen. Asbjörn übernimmt sehr freundlich den Gepäcktransport zu Beginn und Abschluss des Aufenthalts. Wir hatten eine sehr ruhige, erholsame Zeit!

Hervorragend! Beide Fjorde, die Orte und natürlich die Landschaft sind auch bei Regentage beeindruckend. Aber auch Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung wie Aurlandfjellet oder Stalheim bringen wahre Schätze hervor. Wie muss es hier erst sein, wenn die Sonne scheint? Und auch unser Häuschen, ein wahres Kleinod…

Natur pur

Wir haben in diesem schönen Häuschen 2 unvergessliche Wochen verbracht. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für verschiedensten Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Das Haus ist sehr malerische gelegen mit einem, je nach Wetter, immer wieder neuen Fjordpanorama. Man lässt das Auto unten an der Tankstelle mit kleinem Supermarkt stehen, da den steilen Weg (ca. 10min zu Fuß) ein normales Auto nicht meistern würde, und wird, samt Gepäck, von Asbjörn, dem netten Besitzer hinauf und am Ende wieder herungergefahren. Hier oben ist man umgeben von Schafen, Felsen und rauschenden Wasserfällen. Das Haus ist charmant und urig eingerichtet, es gibt alles, was man braucht. (Nur der Flügel ist nicht mehr da... ;-)) Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Haus für Naturliebhaber*innen.

stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus in malerischer Umgebung

Dieses Haus hat eine besondere Atmosphäre der Zeitlosigkeit und man fühlt sich 100 Jahre zurückversetzt. Trotzdem bietet es Comfort, Fußbodenheizung im Badezimmer, Küche mit allen Geräten, die das Leben heutzutage vereinfachen. Die landschaftliche Kulisse ist wunderschön und nicht umsonst zum Kulturerbe benannt. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, zudem ist der Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit.

Traumhafte Lage

In dem kleinen Häuschen fühlt man sich einige Jahrzehnte zurückversetzt und kann eine der schönsten Landschaften Norwegens von dort aus erkunden. In unserem Fall konnten wir sowohl das Haus als auch die Umgebung bei überwiegend sonnigem Wetter genießen. Asbjörn hat uns herzlich empfangen. Für uns (Eltern + 2 Teenager) war es eine akive und sehr erholsame Woche.

A cosy home

We had an amazing stay at the cosy house on the hill. The private place down the fjord is gorgeous and this alone is already worth the visit. Never had a view and silence like that before! Asbjörn and Liv are great hosts, who help you bring up and down your luggage and recommend places, you should visit. The interior is simple, but choosen with love and adequate. The only disadvantage is the steep way up to the house, you have to walk every time, because no cars are allowed up the farm. If you forget to buy something down the supermarket, you will think twice, whether you really want to go back an get it :-) We definetly would recommend the house for adults without or with older kids, who get the way up easily.

authentic norwegian house

We stayed one week in this house with indeed a terrific fjord view. The view is constantly changing with the changing weather and boats on the fjord. Asbjorn welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Everything you need is there. Our youngest daughter loved her old cot. It's in a quiet location, but still at walking distance to the small supermarket and ferry in Gudvangen. Of course we did the 'norway in a nutshell' tour, and we went rafting in Voss. On a really warm day we even tried to swim in the fjord, there's a beautiful small beach close to the house. If you don't have kids who need to be entertained all the time, it's a great place to stay, we loved it.
