Bienvenido a su estancia en la playa de uno a cuatro.

Retiro privado con terraza con vista al mar y solo dos cuadras para acceder a la playa.

Ubicada en la encantadora Leucadia (una sección de Encinitas, California), esta habitación "muy privada" se abre a su propia cocina al aire libre "cubierta" y una sala de estar al aire libre rodeada de flores. El espacio es parte de una residencia y tiene una entrada independiente. No hay escaleras, excepto las que dan a la cubierta. Es privado y aparte del alojamiento de los propietarios. Disfrute sentado alrededor de una acogedora chimenea de piedra con chimenea y leña de gas que se calienta. O sube a tu terraza con vista al mar y disfruta del atardecer o lee un libro. El área del mostrador de la cocina está cubierta, al igual que la barra de desayuno de granito adyacente. (¡También junto a la cocina, hay una ducha de enjuague con agua tibia para después de la playa!)

Fácil acceso a la autopista, a poca distancia de una tienda de comestibles, restaurantes y tiendas. Varios puntos de venta de playa disponibles. Un lugar perfecto para comenzar y terminar un día si se aventura a hacer y ver todo lo que el área de San Diego tiene para ofrecer. El acceso a la montaña rusa a Solana Beach, Old Town y el centro de San Diego está a solo 3 km en el centro de Old Encinitas.

Enjoyed our stay!

The place was great and quiet. Perfect for traveling with our 2 dogs. The host, Sheryl, was very communicative and helpful. Wish it was walking distance to the dog beach but Del Mar wasn’t a far drive.

Beautiful property, great location!

We were very impressed with this lovely property! Close proximity to the beach and to downtown Leucadia. Many shops, delicious restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries. The hosts, Sheryl and Bob, were communicative and friendly. When in the area again, I will definitely put this at the top of my list of places to stay!

Great place to unwind and enjoy ocean breeze.

Our stay was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Sheryl and Bob have created an extremely welcoming space with a secluded patio surrounded by all types of florals and in walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, shops, bars, ect. We felt rested and rejuvenated following our stay and hope to return in the future!

Leucadia Beach Retreat

Great place and location. Just a short walk from the beach. Easy to get around Leucadia and Encinitas. Very neat and tidy place, the outdoor living area was just what we (and our dog!) needed. Sheryl and Bob were very welcoming and nice! Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

We used this property to work, visit relatives, and enjoy nice ocean view walks. Sheryl is very communicative and responsive. Restaurants and groceries are walkable too. We will consider this location for future visits.

3 days of peace

Owners on site, very accommodating. Small backyard with fireplace and comfortable seating. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen and BBQ. Restaurants and beach are short walks. Sunsets at beach overlook are a must.

Great outdoor space

Loved our stay. Great location. one block from ocean. Apartment was clean and cozy. Outdoor space exceptional. Loved the gas fireplace and outdoor furniture. Outdoor kitchen worked well. Had everything we needed. Table and chairs inside was helpful on chilly mornings. Best of all Sheryl and Bob were wonderful hosts. We will be back.

Bob and Sheryl are fabulous hosts! Beautiful outdoor space. Everything on the inside was comfortable, clean and cozy. We were worried about the outdoor kitchen space, however it was just fine. Well stocked and fun. Added a bit of adventure to the trip. We had our grandkids visit over the visit and having the outdoor space was very welcome. Location is perfect. We love walking on Neptune, quick walk to Peachy’s and Leucadia donuts! Of course also easy walk to all the 101 restaurants. We will be back!

Leucadia retreat

We rented this updated Leucadia retreat during September while our Leucadia home remodel a block away was being finished. We had two busy adults and two teen boys, and one chill dog who loved to walk Neptune. The space and patio was good. The outdoor kitchen was sufficient for light cooking. Their gas grill with burner was excellent. The owners are warm, accommodating, and accessible. We love love love the location! We recommend this property.

A great place to stay!

We stayed at this location for one month. It is within walking distance to the cliffs and beaches of Leucadia and Encinitas. Bob and Cheryl were outstanding hosts, attending to all our needs and requests. They welcomed our little chihuahua with open arms. The indoor rooms were quiet and comfortable. The outdoor kitchen, barbecue, gas fireplace and yard were exceptional and very enjoyable to use. We spent much of our time enjoying the yard with many flowers and birds, and sunsets from the upstairs deck. Their knowledge of the local area was most helpful for finding good restaurants, shopping, entertainment and beach locations. They also helped us look for more longer term housing. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Fabulous two month vacation break from Palm Desert

This is the first time I’ve ever stayed anywhere for two months and it is by far the best location I’ve seen in the area. Just a block from all the restaurants on Highway 101 and less than a block from the road that runs along the bluff to the ocean. Lots of places to walk and super convenient to everything else you need. The outdoor space was amazing and my dogs and I were out there at least 70% of the time. I’ve never seen them so happy, because we don’t have a yard like this in the desert. Bed was comfortable and the outdoor kitchen was fine for everything I needed. Loved having Hulu and Netflix, so I could binge on everything I missed. Bob and Cheryl live on site, which was fabulous. Super nice and very responsive, yet you will never know they’re there. I will definitely be back when I decided to stay at this part of the coast again.

Great Location!

We loved our 5 week stay at this little place perfectly located between Beacons and Grandview beaches. It's a great neighborhood with restaurants, surf shops, a USPS post office, and small grocery market all within a few blocks. Walking our dogs to Beacons to watch the sunset became one of our favorite evening activities. Bob and Sheryl are great. Sheryl greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour. They are both very conscientious about giving their guests privacy. We hardly saw them unless we needed something and then they were immediately available. The apartment is small but the space is efficient. There was plenty of storage space for our things (2 large closets and lots of empty drawers). I appreciated that the bathroom was roomy with a nice shower/tub combo and lots of counter space. The outdoor space is big enough to have friends over and was our favorite place to hang out with our pets. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. It was a treat to have access to the extra upstairs balcony with a dining table for 4 and a fantastic view of the sunsets. A friend came to stay with us for a weekend and said that the pull out sofa was very comfortable. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with great access to two surf beaches we highly recommend Bob and Sheryl's place.

Beach Getaway

I had a great stay here this summer. The hosts are lovely and thoughtful, the place is comfy and low-maintenance, and the location is fabulous: one block from the beach, and one block from the main drag with great restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a beach getaway, you couldn’t do better….

Great location and wonderful hosts!

Sheryl and Bob were wonderful hosts. They are warm, kind and super helpful while being extremely respectful of our privacy. The unit is in an amazing location - walking distance to Beacon's and Grandview beaches which are great surfing spots. It's also biking distance to Moonlight and Ponto Beaches which are a bit more roomy for family fun in the sand. There are tons of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance and a small super market that's practically next door, selling local produce and essentials. The place has a nice and quiet bedroom; living room with a comfy pull out couch. There's an outdoor kitchen with access to an ocean view deck. It's a great a great place to socialize while preparing meals outside in perfect summer weather, with a myriad humming birds and butterflies visiting the garden. The kitchen's well stocked w/ everything you could need on vacation. We stayed for 6 weeks w/ 2 elementary school age kids. It is a bit small, but manageable, for such an extended stay w/ a family (our kids definitely started missing their room and yard towards the end). However, I would highly recommend it for a shorter family stay or a stay of any length for a couple or a single person.

The walk to the beach was perfect. We loved that you could walk to the neighborhood market, a coffee shop, taco or pizza place in addition to other shops. Immense gratitude to Sheryl & Bob for graciously accommodating our needs and requests. I do hope to plan to visit again.

Backyard Oasis

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Leucadia. The location is perfect. A short walk to Just Peachy, our favorite produce market, short walk to the ocean, restaurants and shops. The patio had everything you needed to enjoy the sun during the day and a gas fireplace to warm you up in the evening. My husband and I love being outside so having an outdoor kitchen was right up our alley. The hosts are warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating when our dates changed and made it work for us. I would give them a 5+ rating if I could.

Sheryl is a Real Estate Broker in the North Coastal area of San Diego County and Bob is mostly retired after many years in the corporate high-tech world and most recently as a Realtor. Bob and Sheryl have lived west of the 101 since 1990 and also now rent out a portion of their home that has a separate entrance for guests. They always enjoy meeting their guests and especially appreciate to hear from them on how much they're enjoying My Beach Stay and the neighborhood's lifestyle. "Our rental has so much to offer and it's nice to see our guests use it to its full advantage."

"People that stay here love the outdoor/indoor living in the Old California feel of Leucadia. Our yard, the birds and flowers, are a peaceful way to wake up and to unwind after a day out and about. The newer kitchen has just about everything! Not to mention, romantic dimmable lighting and a beautiful granite breakfast bar. And the stone fireplace outdoors is very cozy when lit with comfortable seating surrounding it. The bathroom is updated and roomy. All in all, it's very different from most beach rentals. Clean and inviting.

Starting in 2005, we offered just a bedroom and bathroom with no kitchen and, and not through VRBO. In 2010, we added the covered outdoor kitchen so our guests could spend more time here and we upgraded the bathroom. No matter what time of year, My Beach Stay gets used by couples, singles and families for even longer stays. In about 2017, we added a living room a daybed to the rental. In 2019, we upgraded the floors to luxury plank vinyl; in 2020 we purchased new outdoor furniture for the sitting area in front of the fireplace outdoors. In December of 2021, we invested into a whole-house water filter system, which means every faucet in the home offers filtered water. In February of 2022, we added a new Pottery Barn, very comfortable, high-end sofa bed in the living room. Little by little, we've tried to make this vacation rental more luxurious, but also easy for our guests.

VRBO has granted us the designation of Premier Hosts because of our multiple excellent reviews and our response time. We communicate well and are there for our guests when they need us, while at the same time give them perfect privacy."
