Impresionante casa rural con piscina compartida, Nr Matha & Cognac (también disponible en el primer piso)

La casa rural de planta baja tiene dos dormitorios: uno con una cama king-size y el otro dos camas individuales. También tiene una cabina de ducha húmeda ideal para aquellos que encuentran que las duchas estándar son de difícil acceso y tienen espacio para sillas de ruedas o asientos de ducha. Tiene un salón / comedor de planta abierta y una cocina con lavavajillas, microondas, fogones y horno.
Hay un televisor (con canales en inglés), reproductor de DVD y conexión para iPod. También hay una estufa de leña para las tardes un poco más frías.

Las casas rurales están ubicadas en un patio tradicional de Charentise y son graneros cuidadosamente renovados para ofrecer un alojamiento moderno y confortable a la vez que conservan muchas de las características originales. Por lo tanto, proporciona una base ideal para relajarse y desde la que explorar esta hermosa región y las variadas atracciones de Charente-Maritime y Charente. Cerca de las hermosas ciudades históricas de Cognac, Saintes y St Jean D'Angley, pero también con fácil acceso a las hermosas playas de Royan, La Rochelle y la Cote Sauvage.

Magnifique domaine au coeur des vignes

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances dans ce domaine. Des espaces verts, des jeux, des coins plus cosy nous ont permis de trouver notre bonheur. Le tout à proximité des vignes parfaites pour petite ballade en vélo ou à pieds.

Très belle location

Tout est fait pour se sentir comme à la maison, parents comme enfants. La propreté était de rigueur et en cette période c'est parfait. Les propriétaires sont très discrets. L'endroit est très joli.

Beautifull house and garden

The host is very nice and helpfull. Their thouthers were nice playmates for our baby :) The house is beautiful renovated and with a nice spaceaous garden and pool. If you look for relaxation this is your place.

Perfect location, property and hosts.

Beautiful property set in idyllic location, can’t recommend this property enough. If you want to relax and do nothing or get out and about exploring France it’s great.. Gite was excellent, spotlessly clean and everything we needed. Pool and garden areas very well looked after. Kelly and Ian were great hosts, around when needed, would most definitely recommend and will be returning again.

Beautiful gîte in the Charente countryside

Had a lovely week long stay in this beautiful gîte, perfectly suited for wheelchair/scooter users too. Plenty of room to move about. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Kelly , Ian and the family were all very welcoming and friendly, helping out with places to eat etc. Quiet and peaceful with plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding area or just relax in the sun by the lovely pool. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Brillant place for perfect relaxation

Very warm welcome at arrival. Very clean and cosy and completely equiped flat in a well maintained house on the country site. Not long drive to the sea, but the own salt water pool in the lovely environment within a giant garden provides total tranquility already. We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next one.

Fantastic property, friendly owners - wonderful holiday

We had a lovely week in this beautiful location & well kept gite. Very peaceful village in a great location with lots of things to do in the surrounding area. We had lots of trips to the beaches, which are beautiful. Property was great for us with our 1 year old with very well equipped property , we particularly loved the personal touches of age appropriate toys along with the trampoline and climbing frame. Wonderful pool & toys too. Fantastic holiday - thanks!

On one word, gorgeous.

Fabulously friendly hosts, beautiful property. Everything parents of a 5 year old could possibly want. Good base for exploring cognac. A beautiful part of France. Kelly and Ian were very welcoming, and had loads of very useful suggestions of where to go. The gite was spacious, well equipped, clean and well maintained.

A beautiful and spacious gite, spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a fantastic stay.

We enjoyed a lovely week. Cognac, the beach at Royan and La Rochelle were or favourite days out. The pool and gardens were brilliant with plenty of space to have fun and there was lovely walking around the vineyards from the gite. We will definitely be coming again.

Quite simply the best gite we have ever taken, property is finished to the highest standard and a credit to the owners.The pool is lovely warm and scrupulously clean. The facilities are delightful. Great gite and facilities in lovely location

This was our second stay in the ground floor gite. The gite itself is spotless and spacious and in a beautifully restored outbuilding. The grounds are very well maintained and good for relaxing in and eating outside. They are especially good for children with a trampoline, swings and play centre. The pool is a big hit and the roof cover helps keep the pool clean and at a good temperature. Kelly and Ian are lovely hosts and their three children Martha, Josie and Archie were fun playmates for our daughter and made her stay particularly memorable. She was very sad to leave. There is lots in the area to see and do within the Cognac area and the beaches, zoo and other areas of interest are within easy traveling distance for day trips. We have had lovely holidays here and very much look forward to returning.

Great Family Gite in lovely setting.

This immaculately clean gite had a very well equipped kitchen and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Our children aged 5 and 8 had a fabulous time playing in the warm swimming pool, bouncing on the trampoline and climbing frame and lots of games for them to play with. There were plenty of places to visit in the area, the nearest town Cognac is worth a visit. However, we spent most of the time at the Gite as it was so nice to relax and have bbq's there and it was hard to drag our children away from the other children and pool. The owners were very helpful and recommended great days out, restaurants etc.

Quiet and luxurious piece of France

It was exactly as the pictures depict - a quiet, luxurious piece of France! The accommodation was perfect - spacious and immaculate, perfect for all the family! We were 2 families staying together in both gites - the accommodation and facilities suited us all perfectly. The hanger for socialising and eating was a great asset - also great for the table tennis championships we held! The pool was spotlessly clean - the cover proved very useful for protected swimming when the weather wasn't being kind! The barn deck was also a great space for the kids to call their own. Plenty of parking too! Nothing was too much trouble for Kelly and Ian - chatting to them and their lovely children about their lives in England and France was very interesting. I highly recommend this holiday but a car is essential as there are limited things to do and see nearby!

Relaxing Retreat

My husband, 18 month old daughter and I had the most blissful 2 week stay with Kelly and Ian. Kelly's attention to detail and warm welcome from the whole family was just lovely, they made us feel perfectly at home. The gite is beautifully finished and kitted out. We stayed on the ground floor which was perfect for our little one to roam in and out. The swimming pool, garden with climbing frame was fabulous - an idyllic, quiet spot to spend a sunny day in blissful relaxation. The surrounding area was so interesting to explore. We visited some wonderful places including Cognac, Rochefort, La Rochelle, Angoulemr, Ile d'Aix and Bordeaux. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family, a truly 5 star stay. Great holiday

We had an amazing holiday staying in the downstairs gite for the second time. The gites are lovely, comfortable and are well equipped. We ate out in the hangar most nights. We enjoyed days by the pool as well as exploring the local area. It's a great place to cycle with the family as the roads are quiet and flat with the bonus of views of sunflowers and vines. There is a wide range of places to explore further afield by car, such as the Cognac houses, climbing adventure park and local towns and museums as well as visits to the coast. Kelly, Ian and family couldn't have been more welcoming and we look forward to visiting again.

We are Kelly, Ian, our children Martha and twins Archie & Josie plus Rufus the dog. We have lived here since we bought the house and barns in 2006 and love the beautiful peaceful countryside, large spaces and the fact we were made welcome as soon as we opened the gates to move in. We have renovated the barns and house from top to bottom ourselves and have put all our love and care into making the Gites and gardens a beautiful, relaxing place to holiday and after eleven years and three children! we would not wish to be anywhere else.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We fell in love with the house and barns as soon as we saw them, and even on a cold January morning we could see how lovely they could be and what a great place Les Grandes Ecures is. Our gites have the benefit of feeling lovely and secluded on the edge of the hamlet with beautiful views of the Sunflower fields and vineyards, but only 10 minutes away from Matha (our nearest town) or for more night life or shopping only 20 minutes from Cognac and 30 from Saintes.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Gites benefit from beautiful thick stone walls which help keep the rooms cool in the summer, whilst retaining the heat in the winter. The Hanger provides a great place to sit and eat anytime of the day (or just sit and relax) with that all important shade in the summer and the cars are parked in the courtyard the other side of the gites from the pool and garden so as not to interrupt the views or disturb your holiday.
We live in the house on the other side of the courtyard from the Gites and are there to provide you with any assistance you may need with your stay (ideas on places to visit or eat) or to leave you in peace to enjoy your relaxing holiday at Les Grandes Ecures.
