We were extremely pleased with Carmen, the property liason. She had many good suggestions on places to visit while experiencing this beautiful island and it's people. The bed was comfortable, the location a easy walking distance to the most lovely restaurants and sights.

The best holidays ever!

Carmen was a lovely landlady. Extremely generous (there was a huge plate of Sicilian lemons waiting for us in the apartment!!!!), helpful and kind. Her trips, restaurants and places to see suggestions made our holidays perfect! The apartment was absolutely wonderful. Spacious bedroom with a wardrobe and air conditioning which was extremely helpful! The living room - kitchen area was very big and comfortable. Fully equiped kitchen with everything you need for cooking. We only ate out 4 times during 2 week stay! We love cooking and the kitchen was perfect! We spent our evenings eating home made food on our lovelu terrace overlooking a charming square. The location of the apartment could not be better! Less then 40m from the beach!!! We have rented a scooter and went for numerous trips to: Savoca ('God Father' site and the best almond and pistachios bisquits EVER), around Etna (yummy wine!), lots of local towns in the mountains.... It was a perfect place to have relaxing and extremely enjoyable holidays! I absolutely fell in love with Letojanni. We will definately be back!

Home away from home...

Very clean apartment located on the "piazza" with a great terrace for meals, that sits the whole family comfortably. The landlady was even better than the tourist office, giving the best tips that only a local could give about typical gastronomy. She was effortless on helping us, considering we had some health issues and arranged us a doctor´s appointment the same day (priceless, considering my poor Italian). We loved coming home to Letojanni after all the hustle and bustle of Taormina. I missed an oven but with all the great restaurants on the beach at affordable prices we hardly cooked. We would definitely recommend this appartment for a well deserved vacation for families, friends and couples.

Bouganville, una buena elección

Apartamento céntrico, confortable y muy limpio, cercano a la playa(cruzar una calle) y a tiendas de alimentación, bares, restaurantes, etc. El aire acondicionado nos concilió con el calor reinante. Comunicaciones excelentes con Taormina(frente a parada de bus) y muy cercano a la autopista. Todo ello hace que la relación calidad/precio sea excelente. Otro punto fuerte es la simpatía y cercanía de la propietaria, pendiente en todo momento de nuestras necesidades, y a la que agradecemos sus consejos turísticos(un cordial saludo para ella). En definitiva, muy aconsejable para un matrimonio con dos hijos como nosotros.

Letojanni, annuncio 53493, appartamento Bouganville. L'appartamento é ben arredato, pulito, attrezzato di condizionatori, posizione centrale perfetta, autobus a 10' a piedi, spiaggia libera o attrezzata a 3'. Grande disponibilità di Carmen che ci é venuta a prendere a Giardini e alla partenza ci ha riaccompagnate per indisponibilità orario mezzi. Un soggiorno da ripetere, lo consiglio vivamente!!

Great stay in Letojanni

When I booked this apartment I was just looking for a place on the coast near Taormina that was not too expensive. We were so pleasantly surprised with both the apartment and Letojanni. The Autumn is a great time to visit. The weather was great; still warm enough to swim. Carmen picked us up at the Taormina bus terminal and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and the town. She was a great hostess and so happy to help us in any way. The terrace overlooks the small square and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. One block from the sea! She returned us to the bus terminal at the end of our visit, a great help. Would certainly return to this apartment and to Letojanni!

Lovely Apartment in the middle of town.

Very clean and light apartment which is nicely furnished with everything you need. Great balcony overlooking the Square. Carmen is a very good host, (nothing is too much trouble!) This is the perfect place to live while in Letojanni. It is close to good restaurants, bakery, grocery shops.

Nice Appartment, good location

When we arrived Carmen, the very friendly the owner, met us and explained everything. She was very helpful - already in the booking process. The appartment was spacy, bright and very clean. The shower has got only a curtain, which for tall people like my husband causes a bit of a flooding in the bathroom, but you get used to it and a mop is availbale anyway. The bed was quite hard, which we like. It's first floor without lift, so no good for disabled people or those who struggle climbing stairs. The location was brilliant, right in the middle of Letojanni, which is quite a good start to tour round the Eastcoast and the Etna-Area. As promised it was 40 m to the strand and the little balcony was sunny from 9 - 15.30 h (at that time of the year, we spend our Sylvester-Holiday there). If the house is full you hear your neighbours clearly, which for us is no problem on holiday. A fan-heating is available, which ws important for us, as in december the nights can get a bit colder. All people in the village have been very friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. We would come again and recommend this appartment to anybody who likes a cosy space with independence.

Great choice!

After browsing through many properties available on line we choose Bougainvillaea apartment in Letojanni, and it was a great choice! Apartment is very lean, tastefully decorated, conveniently located just a few meters from the beach. It has two rooms, kitchen, bathroom and a great balcony. It is located in a city center, close from shops, markets and restaurants . Bus stop is just across the street, so is a travel agency where you can book trips to Etna, Syracuse and other destinations. Carmen is a great owner, very friendly, resourceful and knowledgeable of the area. She picked us up from the bus station, and even gave us a tour of the town. We're very happy we choose this apartment, and hope to come back sometime soon.

Excellent place to stay

We felt very comfortable in this warm apartment. We wanted to be away from the crowds of Taormina And this was an excellent choice. The bus to Taormina Stops across the street and was a 15 minute ride. Carmen was a warm and helpful owner with many tips on places to visit, restaurants, etc. We would gladly recommend this apartment.

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique à Letojani: le village est très chouette, au bord de la mer, d'une taille idéale: quelques cafés et quelques commerces, beaucoup d'italiens, peu de touristes!! L'appartement est parfait , la terrasse carrée idéale pour les repas dehors. Carmen nous a accueilli très chaleureusement, nous précisant les choses à ne pas manquer dans la région, très riche à la fois en visites et en beaux bords de mer ou gorges où se baigner!!

Tolles Appartement - nette Vermieterin

Wir (Pärchen, 44/50) haben eine Woche im Appartement Zagara gewohnt und uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Appartement ist genau wie auf den Fotos zu sehen - liebevoll eingerichtet, sauber, funktionierende Klimaanlage und mit allem ausgestattet von Bügeleisen/Bügelbrett über Fön bis Sonnenschirm. Von der kleinen Terasse aus kann man abends das Treiben auf der kleinen Piazza unten verfolgen. Die Vermieterin Carmen ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und für Fragen immer ansprechbar. Sie hat uns gleich zu Anfang viele nützliche Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps gegeben. Das von ihr empfohlene Restaurant "Sicilia Bedda" in Mazzeo (zu Fuß etwa 25 min entfernt) war sehr gut: frischer Fisch, selbstgemachte Pommes Frites, guter Hauswein und ein freundliche Besitzern. Auch die Bar "Lo zuccherino" haben wir oft aufgesucht und leckere Granita mit Sahne gegessen und außerdem das kostenlose W-LAN genutzt. Das Appartement liegt "mittendrin": Alle Geschäfte, Restaurants und auch der Strand sind zu Fuß in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Letojanni ist ein gemütlicher kleiner Badeort. Taormina ist mit dem Bus in etwa 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Von hier kann man auch gut Ausflüge zum Ätna machen (wir haben mit dem Auto etwa 1 bis 1 1/2 Stunden gebraucht) oder nach Syracus. Insgesamt können wir das Appartement Zagara uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Richtig schön!

Eine Wohnung im Zentrum von Letojanni. Das heißt, man darf nicht mit der Stille eines einsamen Forsthauses rechnen, sondern mit etwas Trubel, mit Geräuschen von Autos und Menschen. Wer das mag, kann sich hier wohlfühlen. Ausflüge machen, essen gehen, wandern und dem Ätna beim Dampfen zuschauen. Gerne wieder!

Nice Place and nice contact

We had a terrific time at Letojanni. The Place was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen and bathroom is in very good condition and the aircondition if prefeered is working perfectly. The location is just about 100m to the beach. Swimming in the morning and evening. All supplies like restaurants and markets are close by. The contact is very friendly to support the guest in any way. We got a brief overview of the local area and good tips where to go on the first day. We look forward to come back for the next visit! Lovely apartment in a great location

The apartment was beautifully furnished with everything you need and was really clean and tidy. It was in a great location only 40m from the beach and shops and restaurants, everything was walkable. The balcony overlooked a square that was buzzing with people during the evening eating gelato from the mobile gelato van - gorgeous! Carmen was really helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area and suggested several places to go on trips. Mount Etna and Taomina were real highlights. Also worth a visit was savocca where part of 'the godfather' trilogy was filmed. We had a fantastic holiday and will return to Sicilly in the near future.

Gepflegte Wohnung in nettem Küstenörtchen

Wir waren zu zweit Mitte März 2011 für eine Woche in der Wohnung "Bouganville" und würden sofort wiederkommen (wenn Sizilien nicht so weit weg wäre). Letoianni ist ein überschaubarer Ort - zumindest der alte Teil am Meer, wo sich die Wohnung befindet - aber hat alles, was man braucht: Ein paar kleine Lebensmittelläden, zwei Fischhändler, Metzgereien, Pasticerie...und sogar einen Internetpoint. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es schöne Wanderungen in die Berge. In einer Stunde ist man am Etna und Taormina kann man, wenn man gerne läuft, auch zu Fuß erreichen. Schnell ist man auf der Autobahn nach Catania und Messina. Die Wohnung liegt ruhig im ersten OG eines Wohnhauses. Der Balkon weist auf einen kleinen palmenumsäumten Platz mit einer Statue von Padre Pio. In der Straße vorm Haus hält um 10:30 ein Obst- und Gemüsehändler. Das Meer kann man nicht sehen, aber hören und in 4 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Für einen Parkplatz mussten wir manchmal ein Stück laufen, haben aber immer einen gefunden. Auto ist sehr empfehlenswert. Zumindest in der Nebensaison fahren Bus und Bahn sehr unregelmäßig. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, spricht einigermaßen Englisch und wohnt im gleichen Ort. Das kann praktisch sein, wenn man kurzfristig irgendetwas braucht. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und praktisch eingerichtet, hell und geräumig, so dass man sich auch tagsüber gut hier aufhalten kann. Zu zweit hatten wir sehr viel Platz, für drei Personen passt sie sicher auch gut, wenn die vierte Schlafgelegenheit auch besetzt ist, fehlt ein Sofa zum lümmeln.

We spent our holidays in the first half of September in Letojanni and soon found out that we had chosen the very best place for our vacation. Not only is Letojanni a charming small village and - compared to the always tourist-crowded nearby Taormina - has still preserved a certain nativeness that makes your daily life very relaxed but the apartment we had chosen turned out to be perfect match for our needs. It's really right in the center of the village, the beach is verbosely just around the corner, together with bars, restaurants and shops 'at arms length'. The bus stop (the one to Taormina) is more or less in front of the house whereas the railway station takes a 15 minute walk. We had been there without a rental car and relied completely upon public transportation - and in the end got everywhere where we wanted to. So if you bring enough time, forget about the car - you won't need it. The apartment itself is vast (it was just the two of us), beautifully furnished and provided with everything you need. We only seldom went eating out - the large patio was our favourite dining place. Thanks to the curtains to be used against still hot September sun, we used the patio not only for dining but more or less as 'living room' whenever we were at home. Last not least Carmen did an excellent job in showing us the places to go immediately after welcoming us, she was always around whenever she was needed and in the end even offered to drive us to the Taormina bus station on our way back to Catania airport. So, to put it in short, who can ask for more?

Review of our stay in Letojanni

We just came back for this apartment. We are absolutely satisfied with this apartment. It is very convenient, close to the beach. The owner is very pleasant. We enjoyed this vacation very much.

Lovely place in an original sicily village

We felt welcome and comfortable in this beautiful spacious apartment! Carmen, the owner, is friendly, generous and very supportive. The equipment in the kitchen could be better - if you want to cook for yourself. But the tempting bars and restaurants in close neighborhood will pull you anyway... The clean and beautiful beach is so near that you are there (and back) in less than 5 Minutes. Fantastic!!! We enjoyed our stay - 10 days in July. Letojanni was not near as crowded as Taormina at this high season time. We can strongly recommend the place for all who need to relax and recover and do enjoy beach and ocean. That's what we did.
