Great place to stay. Loved the private, lighted, clean, concrete, fishing pier with seating and fish cleaning station…railing was high enough to feel safe that kids would not fall in. Unit was clean and modern. Covered parking. Great location…minutes from beach, great restaurants, and shops but cozy and secluded feel at the unit. Host very responsive to messages. Check in and check out a breeze.

Unit needs a little TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit met all our basic needs and we love this property with the pier, location and pool. However the rug under the coffee table was dirty, the unit smelled like someone had been smoking in it and there was a whole set of chipped plates. We let the mgt company know so they can address. Once these things are addressed, I would recommend.

Always a good time

Comfortable beds. You can hear someone noises from neighbors. Though the walls are solid enough thats its not disrupting to your stay.

Our unit was well equipped and comfortable. We try to stay here when in Port A. Had one small issue and Port A Escapes responded immediately. Very happy with their attentiveness.

Pier fishing enjoyed

Security walking the property was nice. I thought the king bed was comfortable. The negatives were half way threw our stay they started construction right above us. Laying floors aircompressor, nail gun and music at 8:30 am. We planned a morning to cook breakfast. The pans provided were a challenge they were all warped and made little contact with the heating element. The dishes were put back in the cabinets dirty. One of the cabinet doors fell off with barely a touch. Overall we had a nice stay. We would definitely stay again. We will just bring a few pots and pans from home next time.

Good location

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. Chose bc of the location. Could have been cleaner. Had to request a few new linens. Management was quick to respond and get those to us. The ad says the second room has queens, but they are double beds. FYI Also, the unit above us was under construction. Noise from 9-5 which didn’t bother us too much bc we were not there to be in our condo. We stayed during the week, so not sure if they are working on it during weekends also.

When we asked Port A Escapes to remedy, they offered to spray some Ozium or run their Ozone machine while we were out of the unit. This just simply isn't sufficient, and they should have offered to relocate us to another unit or provide a discount, or something else. We love the Channelview, but will not stay in Unit 213 ever again.
