Una encantadora casa unifamiliar en un entorno rural en Sandford, cerca de Godshill, que ofrece un alojamiento espacioso y confortable. Shanklin y Ventnor se encuentran cerca de un día familiar en la playa y Woodside está cerca de varios senderos para quienes disfrutan del campo.

El gran jardín cerrado con césped, arbustos y árboles es un escape tranquilo después de un día ajetreado. Hay un patio con muebles de jardín y barbacoa. Al frente de la propiedad hay un amplio estacionamiento en la calle para 2-3 autos.

El alojamiento de la planta baja consta de un dormitorio doble con cuna, un dormitorio doble y un baño familiar con ducha sobre la bañera. El acogedor salón, el comedor y el salón acristalado dan al jardín y la cocina bien equipada tiene puertas francesas que dan al jardín. Hay un lavadero y un aseo separado.

La suite principal en el primer piso consta de un dormitorio doble con baño privado con ducha y WC. Los huéspedes disfrutarán de hermosas vistas desde este retiro tranquilo.

El popular pueblo de Godshill está muy cerca y tiene encantadoras cabañas con techo de paja y una calle sinuosa con una gran variedad de salones de té, tiendas de regalos que ofrecen artesanía y productos locales, pueblos modelo y casas públicas. Sandford tiene una ubicación central entre Newport y Shanklin, y también está cerca de Ventnor, por lo que es una base ideal para explorar la isla circundante.

Para las familias, el popular resort de Shanklin está a poca distancia en automóvil y ofrece una variedad de tiendas, supermercados, bancos y restaurantes. Al sur de High Street se encuentra el pintoresco pueblo viejo con techo de paja con sus pubs, salones de té y tiendas de regalos. Perfect holiday home

We stayed at woodside cottage in April with my daughter and her partner and 2 children.The house is lovely and so well equipt with everything you could possibly need.The children age 6 and 4 loved the garden which had a playhouse and a slide.Perfect location for visiting the island.

Home from home

Another perfect stay at Woodside. We appreciated the nice new touches whilst maintaining the excellent character of the property. After a day out or if confined indoors due to weather the value of staying at such a wonderful place is truly realised! Thank you to Bob and Carol for the use of their home. Best cottage we have stayed in.

This cottage has been our holiday home for two years.It is clean, comfortable and has all the equipment you will need. A beautiful garden completes the ideal place to stay in the best part of the island.

Home from home

As always Woodside was wonderful. Home from home and we are always happy to return. Everything you need for a comfortable stay whatever the weather and all very well maintained. Very well located for visiting all parts of the island with the excellent bus service.

Holiday

Overall a pleasant stay in a great location but cottage needs updating in areas such as flooring and the downstairs shower not great. Also we were not told about roadworks blocking entrance for 3 days, only found out on the first morning when workmen knocked on door to ask us if we had been told and telling us to get car out if we needed to use it!

Wonderful Woodside

Everything as always in perfect order and lovingly maintained. Not so much staying in a holiday cottage as staying in a family home. Ideally placed for visiting all parts of the island and best part is returning to enjoy the cottage and garden. Thank you for another excellent stay.

Lovely cottage with everything we would need and more

Beautiful cottage and garden, we could relax. The children liked the garden toys, and our youngest loved the tree house. It had everything we needed and more. Also had lots of space. It was close to lots of attractions, all within 10 to 20 mins!

Woodside Cottage

We have stayed at Woodside on four occasion and already booked again . The cottage is in excellent decorative order and very clean and comfortable. It is well sited with no need for a car and lots of good walking from the door. Large garden lovely to sit out in. Exceptional service from Island Holiday Homes.

Everything provided, very clean and cosy, wonderful location. Housekeepers were lovely. Looking forward to our next stay. Lovely family of rabbits at the bottom of the garden. Because the weather was quite cool the conservatory was really warm and welcoming. This is a lovely home.

We have stayed in Woodside Cottage a few times now and enjoyed each visit. When we have had any questions we have been able to contact Island Holidays who have been extremely pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff have been brilliant. There is a lovely spacious garden with a particulary pleasant patio area ideal on a nice sunny day. We have already booked two holidays for next year. Our thanks to the owners who have allowed us to share their home.

Wonderful Woodside

Our 7th visit and another excellent stay at this amazing property. Good bus links at the end of the road to all parts of the island. Lots of walking from the door. The cottage as always was very well presented and equipped with everything needed. Even with inclement weather a nice relaxing break in a home from home cottage. Look forward to returning.

Woodside Cottage

Our sixth visit to Woodside and as always everything well equipped and beautifully maintained.Spotlessly cleaned and prepared by Lisa. The cottage is in a very good position with bus links to all parts of the island 2 minutes walk away. There is everything you need to make this a perfect home from home. Thank you to Bob and Carol for sharing your beautiful home. Thanks also to Island Holidays for all their help in arranging the bookings. Will be back soon.

Amazing cottage !!

We have been going to Woodside cottage for the past 5 years, and we love it there, it has everything you need. You dont have any worries when staying here you can get to everywhere you need to go daily perfect cottage in the perfect location. Unfortunately we have a couple of pups now, and due to a very bad experience with one of the kennels on the island we wont be able to come again unless we find a top class kennel to look after them. Our Inlaws will be back though you can count on them !!

A Delightful Stay

Property was extremely well presented and clean, felt very homely in every respect. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Large garden was especially nice for our two young boys (although we spent most days exploring the island). Only slight negatives, one sofa was extremely uncomfortable (sofa bed) and the location is approx. 1 mile outside of Godshill with no pathway on the main road to the village so had to use the car always. Overall a fantastic place to stay, great value and would return again in the future.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to review your stay at Woodside. We are pleased you all enjoyed the house and garden. Following another recent negative comment about the lounge sofas we are planning to replace both of them before the season begins again next year. Regarding the walk into Godshill, there is a footpath to the village which takes about 25 minutes via lovely pathways crossing the fields (you have to cross the main road once). We had left a map pinned up on the noticeboard which gave the directions, so will get more printed for next season, too. We do hope to welcome you back sometime soon!

+ Ideal location in centre of island + Airy, comfortable conservatory + Large, well maintained garden with good facilities for eating outside/relaxing/occupying young children + Spacious accommodation, and well equipped + Good heating when needed and lots of hot water - Two settees past their use by date - uncomfortable - Shower in wet room very cramped under sloping roof - but good shower downstairs

We endeavour every year to improve the holiday experience for our guests and have noted your comments about the 2 sofas in the lounge area. We are planning to replace these for next season. With regards to the en-suite shower upstairs, we are aware that this does not suit everyone, but we have no alternative given the slope of the roof. Another wonderful holiday at Woodside cottage

This was our third visit to Woodside cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and clean and the garden is a lovely place to spend time when returning from a day out, it has lots of added extras to keep the children amused. This property is very well situated for reaching everywhere on the island easily. Would highly recommend it and will return if we can, next time we visit the Isle of Wight.

Great family location.

Woodside cottage is a great place to go and visit,great location but also nice and quiet as well.The garden is perfect for kids who are never tired(lol).Close to major attractions and never to far away for a visit.Very comfortable and nicely set out.Owner is a very nice man also. Gary
