La "cabaña de lavanda" es una pensión familiar con la organización de turismo.
Se encuentra en Chroussa, einem pinienbewachsenen Dorf im Zentrum der Insel, a 7 km de la entrada de Hermoupolis.

Siros Vacation - June 2024

We stayed 4 nights at this property. Accommodation was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The place is conveniently located. There is a taverna and a small store within a short drive from the property. The owners are very nice and were responsive to any needs that we had. Communication was very easy and pleasant, as both Lefteris and Alexia speak good English. We were greeted with a bottle of excellent home-made wine when we checked in. Our stay on Siros was a very pleasant one. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Brilliant!

Our stay was peaceful & comfortable. From the terrace there are beautiful views of the surrounding hills and sea beyond. The property was clean and lacked nothing. Lefteris was the perfect host.

Heartwarming stay, stunning home and kind hosts

I came with my mother and sister for 4 days and we had such a beautiful time! Alexis and Lefteris are both so hospitable and kind. The property is perfect, a stunning view and inside there is everything you need and spacious. Wish we had more time here, we will definitely be back!

Vacances à Chroussa farmhouse

Maison très agréable avec vue splendide et calme. Idéale surtout pour deux adultes et deux enfants avec la mezzanine . Dans les améliorations , le lit de la chambre est un peu petit pour deux personnes , le ventilateur bruyant et un petit meuble dans la salle de bain serait le bienvenu pour poser les trousses de toilettes. Sinon tout est parfait et les propriétaires ont meublé cette maison avec beaucoup de goût . Nous aurions souhaité la relouer l’année prochaine mais malheureusement, nous avons vu qu’elle l’était déjà . Quel dommage!

Like Paradise...

We had a wonderful stay in Lavender Cottage. Idyllic, quiet, cosy, great sea view . The location of Chroussiano farmhouse is perfect. Within 10-15 minutes you can reach various beaches and Ermoupoli. Also a big supermarket is within easy reach. We came as strangers and left as friends. Thank you Alexia, Leftheris and Hermes. We will be back. Ricky S.

Belle maison très calme!

Très belle semaine à Syros! l'endroit et juste magnifique, dans un endroit calme et reposant. La maison traditionnelle et sa terrasse sont très joliment décoré avec des meubles typiques. Terry et Alexia sont vraiment très accueillant et sympathique, Ils réserve des petites attention très appréciables, tomates, fruits et huile d'olive de leur production. Syros est une jolie Ile à découvrir, de belles plages et une ambiance très familiale grecque que l'on a particulièrement apprécié! Corinne et Stéphane

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le cottage d'Alexia et Lefteris. Le lieu est magnifique et accessible. Le logement est très agréable. Toutes les plages sont facilement accessibles. Lefteris et Alexia sont vraiment à notre écoute avant et pendant le séjour et répondent très rapidement à toutes nos demandes. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Great House with Wonderful Hosts

It doesn't get better than this. We spent a week in this lovely home with a view of the Aegean Sea and located in a totally private setting. The house is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed as well as a comfortable veranda with a view of the sea. The location is really ideal being only a short drive to Ermoupolis but also close to a number of good beaches where we swam most every day. We vacationed on 3 Greek Islands and found Syros to have the most amenities and the largest population. We enjoyed the quay in Ermoupolis and also the picturesque streets in the district of Vaporia. Then we walked the quaint streets of Ano Syros and ended our day with a great meal at Taverna Lilis. We also explored the south coast of the island - Vari over to Fonika where we enjoyed a great seafood dinner at Arxantariki Thalassa. Lastly we want to thank Alexia and Terry for inviting us into their home. And we hope to visit here again sometime in the future.

Vacanza indimenticabile

Tutto quello che ci si può aspettare per una vacanza rilassante e piacevole puoi trovarlo qui. La casa é spaziosa e fornita di ogni accessorio. É arredata con gusto ed eleganza rustica. Ogni piccolo dettaglio é curato con attenzione. La location é davvero rilassante, appartata ed intima. La vista é eccezionale, la posizione strategica perché praticamente al centro dell isola. Inoltre i proprietari di casa ci hanno coccolati parecchio, portandoci i prodotti della loro fattoria ogni volta che ne avevano l'occasione. Un posto che consiglieremo senza dubbio a tutti!

Wonderful

This traditional farmhouse was a wonderful place to stay for our holiday. The setting in the hills with a view on the sea a few kilometers away is exceptional, with luscious greenery, a mixture of pine trees and eucalyptus. The location is very quiet. The house itself is charming, very clean and adequately furnished with complete facilities, and a lovely terrace to have meals on, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful view. The owners are charming and very helpful. Having a car or a motorbike is a must and is very easy to rent (the owners can help you do this). There are many interesting and beautiful places to visit in Syros and its capital town Ermoupolis, and the island's beaches are accessible and very pleasant (quite a few sandy beaches). We highly recommend this traditional farmhouse for a peaceful holiday.

Dreamy house, great hosts

We spent three weeks at the Chroussiano Farmhouse and it was one of the best things we have ever done. The whole booking process was super easy and a few days upon arrival Alex contacted us and made sure we made it to the property without any inconvenient. Due to medical reasons, she wasn't able to come and meet us, but she was super attentive and eager to pick up our calls any time we had a question. Then his husband also had to go back to Athens, so we spend must of our time alone, hanging out with the cats and enjoying the sweet smell of rosemary every afternoon when the sun set. Terry's parents were in the house next door, and even though they didn't speak english, we really enjoyed their company any time they showed up. They would shows us the farm and bring us fresh eggs every morning and other produce that I used for cooking... I even made a fig tart with figs, almonds and eggs from the farm! The house is super nice, very clean, and it has all the commodities (ac, internet, an equipped kitchen, etc). No washing machine though, but you can take your laundry anytime you go and visit the town. The property is on top of a hill, so it is necessary to have a vehicle. We didn't have one, so we had to take cabs all the time. Cabs are totally fine, but when you stay for three weeks, you end up using them a lot! Also, the beaches are a little bit far, so better to drive than walking on a road with no sidewalks under the sun. In general, we loved our time at the Chroussiano Farmhouse and we can't wait to go back now with our kid!

Beautiful, relaxing place for a family hoilday

The owners are fabulous hosts and even met us at the ferry to make things easy for us. The location is a lovely peaceful spot with great veiws of the countryside. Our daughters loved going to feed the chickens each morning with the owners and collectng the lovely eggs. There are great lemons grown around the property too. Alexia speaks good English and was always keen to share her local knowledge about anything from where to find good food shops to beautiful beaches. The beaches were all really great for younger children, gently shelving beaches and no strong tides, our chilrden loved them. The main bedroom in the property was a great size especially if you have younger children needing help to get dressed or keen to pop in and out. Our children loved the upstairs bedroom too. The location is close to the island's capital so it is easy to stroll around the beautiful streets and enjoy the many good restaurants. The fishing boats come in there and the fish which you can buy from the boats is wonderful and the fishermen are very friendly. We all found the holiday brilliant and we all still talk about the warm nights spent sitting on the terrace you see on the website and the lovely family that helped make it a special holiday. We would love to return soon.

Urlaub für Griechenlandliebhaber

Manfred und Elke, München-Germany Wir verbrachten 2 Wochen im Juni 2011 in Syros auf dem fantastischen Farmhaus Chroussiano. Das Domizil ist ein ganz besonderes Haus auf das wir gerne achteten. Es ist wundervoll gelegen und mit einem tollen Blick aufs Land und Meer, in dem wir uns sehr wohlfühlten. Die nette Familie Xenakis mit seinen Eltern versorgten uns sehr zuvorkommend mit allen Informationen die wir brauchten um die schöne Insel mit seiner fantastischen Stadt, schönen Plätzen und gute Restaurants zu erkunden. Hier will man sein hier ist man erwünscht im Farmhaus Chroussiano. Vielen Dank

hospitality redefined

It was a revelation, even for insiders like us who claim to know Greece inside out. We rediscovered hospitality and a quality in human relationships that we'd thought were long gone. Terry is a vineyard aficionado and this really shows in his conversation and, of course, his bottled wines. And then Chroussa looks almost surreal on a Greek island, with its old dignified villas and greenery. You'd almost be forgiven for forgetting about the sea, but the blue touch in the horizon is always there, should you miss it.

relaxing holidays

We spend a week in the Chroussiano farmhouse last June. It is located on the outskirts of the small village of Chroussa in the beautiful island of Syros (Greece). It is cheap, extremely traditional with a great view to the fields of the island. I hope we manage to get back next year for a relaxing holiday!
