A Bit of Heaven

The property was clean and beautiful. A quiet setting and only a several minute walk to Carolina beach and fun. Close to the aquarium. Plenty of places to eat but highly suggest reservations anywhere near Carolina beach.The elevator was a nice convenience. Only change I would make is to make the queen beds into king beds.The owners responded in an hour to fix a problem.

Wonderful Beach Week

Our stay was wonderful. The house was beautiful. The layout was great for our group. The supplies provided were really helpful. The beach gear was great especially the cart to pack everything up for the day. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we could need. We had one family member unexpectedly on crutches so the elevator was used constantly. It was so much easier for them. Only suggestion would be more chairs on 3rd floor balcony. With a house that big 4 chairs wasn’t enough. But we loved every minute relaxing and making memories.

Family Reunion

The house perfect for our family reunion and the elevator was great for getting our dad from the top floor to the ground floor in his wheelchair. This was also the most well stocked VRBO's I have stayed at recently. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could think of which made staying in and cooking a breeze. There was also EVERYTHING you need for spending the day at the beach, from chairs and umbrellas to kids toys to make sand castles, and all easy to transport in the wagon provided. One last perk was that it had regular TV service (Direct TV) instead of only subscription service access. We would definitely stay here again if the occasion comes along!

Great Location and Beautiful Condo

What a great find in Kure Beach! We had a family of 6 adults and this place was so spacious for our group..we only used 3 of the 5 bedrooms. The elevator was so helpful since the kitchen and living room are on the 3rd floor. From the balcony, you can see the ocean. Quiet neighborhood and just a block from Public beach access. The closest beach access also is ramp instead of stairs (if you know the area, not all beach accesses have ramps) and this was great for using the beach buggy to carry all of our items for a day by the ocean. Plenty of chairs (though we brought some of our own, we didn’t need to!) We loved this place and hope to be back one day!

Great place to stay in Kure Beach!

The property was clean, spacious, and well suited to our family group of 9 for a 5 night stay. Beach access is only a short walk away, there were bikes and beach gear available in the garage, and in addition to the TV in the living room there is a TV in every bedroom. The property owner was very nice and responded to all our requests for information, etc, timely and helpfully.

Perfect beach house for a large family

This was our second year staying here and it’s perfect for our big family. Very close to the beach, and the house is filled with beach supplies .

Great house and even better location

House was perfect for my whole family to stay at and so close to the beach access. The owners were very accommodating for us as we were coming down for a wedding and had a couple special requests for us to be able to get to the wedding on time.

Great Vacation!

We loved the place! It was great for our family. There was plenty of room and lots of extras in the garage for the kids - toys, bikes, wave boards, etc. Hope to stay again sometime.

Annual extended family vacation

As an extended family we've been going to Kure Beach for 20+ years. Most everyone agreed that this may have been the best house we've ever had! From start to finish, everything was smooth and problem free - no complaints! Highly recommend this home!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our family of 14 had an amazing week at Kure Beach, and this house made that possible! Anything you could possibly need could be found at the house-books, games, beach chairs, umbrellas, a buggy to get things to the beach, and several bicycles. The elevator allowed everyone to access all areas of the house and helped with all of the heavy bags. Within a short walk /bike ride we were able to spend time on the beach, play games at the arcade, fish from the pier, or venture into several local restaurants and shops. Kathleen was always quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!

Family vacation for 13!

Everything about our stay was great! Our family of 13 came from different parts of the country to Kure Beach .We arrived before entrance time and were let in with no problems. The elevator helped so much with the heavy items. We cooked most meals and the kitchen was great. Owner replaced the coffee maker within a short time for us. The beach was great every day. The beach wagon was so helpful along with extra items. Our teens rode the bikes. The high point of week was ordering a seafood boil to cook and serve at the house. It was from Cape Fear Boil Company. You will not be disappointed!! Thank you , Kathleen

Perfect beach house

We stayed here for 4 days after traveling from the UK for a family wedding. The house is even more lovely than the pictures suggest, and there is absolutely everything there that you need. Kathleen was really helpful, although we had no issues, but all communication prior to visiting was very quick in response. We had 3 separate families staying and the space was perfect for us all. The children in particular loved the bikes! Thank you Kathleen for letting us stay in your beautiful house x

Spring Break Get Away

My husband and I took our three sons and their friends ages 14-22, a total of 9 "kids" and us. We loved the location, close to the beach and all of the amenities we needed. It was great having bikes, beach chairs and everything we needed for the kitchen. The hand soap, tissues, toilet paper and even spices added an even extra touch. We highly recommend this property and the owners were fabulous. It was a great time with many memories made.

2 in Wheelchairs/Rollators

This Beautiful Condo was very clean with a very well-stocked and equipped Kitchen/Garage. It had plenty of Beach items, including chairs, bikes and a beach wagon. Both porches have great views of the ocean. Comfy beds in all bedrooms. Elevator very handy and accessible for a standard-sized wheelchair. The owners were friendly and answered our questions. We would definately rent again.

Fantastic Thanksgiving

We came on on Tuesday, the house was ready for us. The elevator made this vacation possible. After 2 days, the 2 year old knew how to get to the beach, it was so close. We had a wonderful time and will try to repeat next year.

Great Place

Everything about this property was good from start to finish. The host kept contact with me before evening arriving. Once there he walked us through the ins and outs of the home. We were one block from the beach. The beach had two different accesses for us. The pier was a nice walk from the home and there was no charge for the pier. The host had any and everything that you could think of for us to use. I would definitely consider using his property if in the Kure area in the future.

Lived up to expectations in every way!

Jimmy and Cathy's house was everything we hoped it would be. The house is one short block from the beach, which puts it pretty much as close as you can get on a quiet street. Kure Beach, especially this southern end, is a great location for a family hoping to stay away from most of the commercialism and crowds that you can get further north on the island. We could walk or run down to Ft. Fisher on our more ambitious days. The house is spacious, clean, and in great repair. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cooking and serving dishes and even a bunch of spices. There are videos, games, and books for all ages. Downstairs, they keep beach towels, bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, frisbees, sand toys, umbrellas, and a cart for hauling your selection of items to the beach each day. No need to bring any gear of your own, really! Jimmy greeted us in person and was a terrific host, giving lots of detail about the house and the area. This place is a great find.

Spacious Home

We found the home to be very spacious, especially for the number of people (11 adults). The elevator was a blessing in that we had on individual who has difficulty with stairs. Access to the beach was much easier than first thought it would be.

We ventured into rental property so we could have a place for out-of-town family and friends. We want to share this property with other guests so they can also enjoy the wonderful town of Kure Beach and the surrounding communities. This area is a wonderful place for family to come together and enjoy the many amenities around here or just time at the beach with loved ones.

We purchased this property because it is the perfect size for a large family and/or group of friends. It is a short walk to the beach and close to lots of other things to do. The house is well-built and provides lots of common space for families together along with good sized bedrooms for privacy. The elevator is a great addition to help transport supplies or reduce the need to climb three flights of stairs.
