Perdón de los amantes de la naturaleza en el área Driftless del sur de Wisconsin, Estados Unidos.

Estamos ubicados en un acantilado escondido al final de un camino sin salida en el área sin deriva del sur de Wisconsin, cerca del popular destino turístico de New Glarus, la pequeña Suiza de Estados Unidos en el condado de Green Wisconsin.

La propiedad está ubicada en un grupo de robles maduros con acantilados de roca, ciervos y pavos que pastan en el patio. ¡Es un sueño para los amantes de la naturaleza!

La casa de troncos de 2600 pies cuadrados 3. 5 baños se encuentra en 40 acres. La casa cuenta con cuatro espaciosas habitaciones con camas lujosas, una gran cubierta envolvente en las copas de los árboles, Internet de alta velocidad y acceso a senderos privados que recorren el bosque con acantilados de piedra caliza y praderas de polinizadores. El interior de la casa está forrado con tablas de pino que desprenden un aroma agradable y se suman al carácter que se agrega a la sensación de cabina, pero la casa está bien equipada y tiene todas las características que probablemente necesitará.

Estamos cerca de muchas comunidades como New Glarus, Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt Horeb, donde los festivales locales tienen lugar semanalmente durante la primavera, el verano y el otoño. This was an amazing stay, not only because the house was great but because of having such a wonderful host. There was a snow storm during our stay, he was very considerate and plowed the drive in the morning for us. We had a wedding to attend that day and he messaged us to let us know it was getting bad out and to head back. I truly believe if he had not done that we would have not made it back to the house. They also offered for us to stay one more day at no cost if we needed to wait out the storm. What a wonderful host and overall person. I will be back for sure. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Was great having an in person welcome from owner !Everything was clean and tidy and accessible!Even fall decor !Awesome bedroom space and quality full size mattress !Board Game selection is cool Our only thing is we would have preferred a bit larger living room space or maybe more comfy furniture with big ottoman!But was minor compared to all we enjoyed !We also liked the simple closing instructions!

If you are looking for solitude, this is the place. It is well furnished and appointed, all you need to bring is food. If you do not wish to cook, there are several great restaurants within easy driving distance. If you get up early in the morning, you will be treated with the sounds of several owls calling from the woods. A truly great place to unwind, relax and enjoy some quiet time with your family.

The property is stunning! Hiking trails right off the front door that are nicely maintained. The house is clean and like home away from home, everything you could need is provided. The owner lives on the property, far enough away you dont even know they are there, but close enough to help if needed. Pets are welcome, just beware there are no fenced areas and wild animals abound. There is even a paddock for horses, it would fit four horses comfortably and is fully grassed with a water trough, however, I would bring electrical fencing to keep the horses off the fencing there. The other nice thing is the property is tucked away from main roads and has only a private drive entrance.

The lodge is a wonderful place that is perfect in every way. Lots of room,yet still cozy enough to spend time with family and friends. It is great that there is a window in the kitchen that allows you to interact with those sitting in the family room who are watching tv or just hanging out. A wonderfully large deck with grill and blackstone available is also there. Having a firepit located on the property was also a wonderful feature that we enjoyed. Steve is a great host who is very prompt at responding and very easy to work with. This is our second visit and probably wont be the last!

Beautiful home and my stay was so peaceful. Communication from the hosts was warm and welcoming, including letting me know when someone was coming to maintain the outside of the property. That was appreciated. I would recommend this home if you are looking for peace and quiet.

This property was a very fun stay for our family with the kiddos! Great location for a day trip to Madison and also visited New Glarus. The kids had fun in the loft and everyone loved having their own spaces. It was great having access to a grill and we enjoyed sitting outside on the wrap around deck for a very peaceful evening. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay that’s within driving distance to some great spots. Also was very well equipped for infants and young children!

The property and cabin were both beautiful! Steve was awesome, he greeted us when we arrived and walked us through the cabin. It was a wonderful place for a family vacation. Some of our favorite parts of the cabin were cooking family meals in the well equipped kitchen, enjoying time on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings as well as walks on the marked trails through the property. This is somewhere we would definitely come back to. Thanks Steve!

Tucked-away perfection! Quiet, peaceful, and the fire pit made for the dreamiest bonfire nights. Pro tip: the basement is sweater weather, the loft is a mini sauna, and the main floor is juuust right—so pack for all seasons. The host? Absolute gem. You can tell he’s all about making your stay amazing.

Lovely Quiet Remote Home

There was enough room for my large family to sleep and eat. It was very private and quiet as there are only cornfields and trees surrounding the property. The host was very helpful and friendly. There was not a swing set as pictured, but the kids had fun playing in the loft.

Adorable country home with a full bathroom for everyone! Large kitchen table for the whole family. My only complaint…is that the TV room had no AC and only a love seat and two chairs. Our family loves to end the night with a family movie and there was no place to sit us all and it was really hot in there. The TV had very basic cable and none of the movie apps worked. The host was wonderful. Other than that it was lovely. Bring DVDs!

Nice country respite

The house was spacious and perfect for our inter generational family group. Appliances and cookware met our needs so we enjoyed making our own dinners & breakfast. Would highly recommend.

My wife Marilyn and I were born and raised in Southern Wisconsin. We have lived in the area all our lives and know that there are many special places in this world but there is no place like home! Our daughter and her husband live nearby and we are able to see our grandchildren on a daily basis. It is a great place for a family and we chose to make it our home.

My wife and I purchased this home last year because it was at the end of our dead end road right next our home and included land adjacent to our land. We retired recently and thought that it would be a good place for friends and family to stay while visiting the area. When not use by our guests, it is available to the family.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love this part of Wisconsin because it is in a physically beautiful area with trout streams, cliffs and deep valleys. We can watch the deer in the yard every morning and hear the sounds of sand hill cranes and turkeys by day or watch a bald eagle circling overhead and hear coyotes by night. At night the sky is full of stars that most will never see. With all the hustle and bustle and chaos in the world these days, we know that we can step outside and hear the sound of the wind in the trees and leave everything behind us and just enjoy life with our children and grand children.
