 Localizado directamente detrás de la histórica fila de oficiales (¡John Mellancamp es nuestro vecino!), esta parte tranquila de Tybee está cerca de Lighthouse y North Beach.
Nivel del suelo, patio cercado, techos altos y ventanas extragrandes que permiten la entrada de toneladas de luz natural. Esta casa ha sido totalmente decorada y diseñada. La cabaña ahora ofrece 2 baños completos y un "armario de agua" adicional.
Lleno de arte de artistas locales y hallazgos vintage, muebles cómodos y lo mejor de todo el porche con mosquiteras extra grande. Verdaderamente un encantador sureño de una casa! Esta casa es una casa histórica, y el propietario ha agregado un baño completo adicional para un total de 2 1/2 baños. ¡Otra característica única de nuestro hogar! Esta es la mitad del dúplex con Enlisted Men's Mess Hall en el otro lado. Ambos lados son silenciosos y tienen entradas privadas / separadas. ¿Necesita espacio para una gran familia? Alquile ambos lados!

From the point of making the reservation to the entire stay, the people and cottage were excellent. So close to everything (food, lighthouse and beach). Add the history of the cottage.

Wonderful and relaxing

I have two small dogs and they had a blast in the fenced in yard and the screened porch for some sun bathing. The rental company was beyond exceptional. They checked in on us and communicated with being bothersome. The location is so close to the beach, the lighthouse, great places to eat. We walked to several places and we rented bikes because everything is so close. We have an electric car and there is a fast charger just around the corner. We drove to Savannah several days, it’s only 20 minutes away and there is so much to do and see. I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with the hosts. Also, when we left , Tammy reached out to let me know we had left something behind so we could arrange to get it back. Just wonderful ladies. I will definitely be recommending this spot to others and I will also be back in the future. Thank you mermaids for making my stay so easy and really going out of your way for us. I truly appreciate it. Your wonderful.

Not only did this place feel like a home away from home but mermaid rentals went above and beyond in their communications- they are incredibly friendly, warm and inviting which is so welcoming after a big day of travelling. The rental was spectacular, cozy, bright and FULL of character, the decorating really made it feel like a relaxed vacation and the walk to the beach was very short. I could truly go on and on about our incredible experience here, but I’ll leave it at saying it’s the type of place and experience you’ll tell people about, you’ll have wonderful memories and you’ll be just waiting to book the next time around. Thank you to Mermaid Cottages for truly making this rental a phenomenal experience. We’ll be back!

It's a cute property on the north side of the island, which we prefer because it is quiet and peaceful, but only a few minutes' walk to the North beach. It is always spotless. And it is very spacious. The interior is exactly like the pictures in the listing. Really cute. The Mermaids are friendly, accommodating and responsive. We are already planning to be back sometime in November-December and again in March.

Every time we see something we hadn’t noticed before. Lots of thought has gone into the furnishings. Tammy has always been amazing! She always makes us feel special. She quickly answers our questions and helps us out. The cottage is within a short walk five minute to North Beach. It’s always spotless. We love sitting on the front porch and relaxing before and after a day at the beach. Truly a magical home away from home! We have our reservations for next year and can’t wait to return.

Screened In was the perfect quiet retreat for the 2 of us-close enough for a quick walk to welcome sunrises every day and drive to sunsets each evening. An excellent location on the north side near the lighthouse. This historic cottage (and former Mess Hall) has a delightful "secret passage" to the beach. This year we decided to check an item off our Bucket list, and stay for a month. The things we always enjoy about this cottage: quiet family oriented North End location, large screened porch, and walking distance to the beach. We are an older couple, and enjoy the cottage furnishings & atmosphere that remind us of decades ago. The Mermaid Staff are always friendly and accommodating. We will be back.
