Hen Stabl: una encantadora conversión de establos de personajes de piedra del siglo XVIII

Hen Stabl es una cabaña de piedra del siglo XVIII ubicada dentro del Parque Nacional Snowdonia. Originalmente, la cabaña fue construida como los establos de la casa parroquial de Llanfair. Hen Stabl fue salvado de la ruina y restaurado a fines de la década de 1990 por orden del Parque Nacional Snowdonia debido a su importante interés histórico para el pueblo de Llanfair.

La vivienda en Hen Stabl ha sido totalmente renovada en los últimos dieciocho meses para incluir una cocina y un baño recién equipados. El diseño de Hen Stabl es peculiar y en la planta baja encontrará dos dormitorios, un baño que sale de un gran pasillo. En el primer piso se encuentra la sala de estar con su techo abovedado alto, es un espacio de vida sociable de planta abierta que consta de salón, comedor y cocina.

Hay un amplio estacionamiento en la carretera en la parte delantera de la cabaña.

Hen Stabl se encuentra en una ubicación envidiable para cualquiera que quiera explorar el Parque Nacional Snowdonia, las impresionantes playas de Harlech y Llandanwg están a solo 10/15 minutos a pie desde la puerta principal. En la parte trasera de la cabaña hay un gran jardín con varias áreas de descanso que se comparte con nuestra segunda cabaña de vacaciones, Ty Golchi, hay un sendero directo a unos 50 metros de Hen Stabl que conduce a las colinas y la cordillera de Rhinog Fawr.

We had a short break, Thursday to Sunday. The home was comfortable and warm (we did experience a significant storm on the Friday) and hunkered down with the log fire.Communication with the host was good, he was very responsive when i asked for more firewood. Clean property and well equipped.

Die Unterkunft war sauber, sehr gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation und der Empfang des Vermieters war außerordentlich angenehm und liebevoll. Danke dafür! Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal. In der Nähe der wunderschöne Strand, Harlech samt kleinen Einkaufsläden und dem tollen Schloss und natürlich die Berge von Snowdonia. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen und wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

We had an amazing 2 weeks at Hen Stable! We loved the beautiful garden and cozy living area! You definitely need a car, but we did go on nice walks from the cottage. Gary was so kind and helpful! …always available for questions.We had dinner at the Victoria Inn in Harlech…delicious! We hope to visit again!

Ein wunderbares Cottage - stilvoll eingerichtet, mit voll eingerichteter Küche, großem Wohnzimmer-Küchenbereich, schönem Bad, bequemen Betten und einem großen Gemeinschaftsgarten mit mehreren Sitzecken. Auch kann man das Meer sehen! Der Check-in ist unkompliziert und die Vermieter sind überaus freundlich. Der Ort hat einen Laden, in dem wir alle Dinge für unseren Urlaub benötigten. Little gem

Beautiful presented property with lovely landscape gardens with lots of seating areas which the owner allows you to use . Immaculate inside with lovely decor and furnishings. Good location with Harlech only 4 minutes away in the car and a nice pub a few minutes away . (The Victoria inn ) . Will definitely return and stop here again . Gary the host was full of knowledge of the area and very helpful .

We had such a lovely stay at Hen Stabl. The location was perfect—peaceful and tucked away, but still really close to the beach, towns, restaurants, and plenty of things to do. Our hosts were so friendly and full of interesting stories about the history of the place—we could’ve chatted all day! We’d definitely recommend staying here and will 100% be booking again. Gorgeous property in North Wales

What an amazing find. Superb place to stay close to all the North Wales sights we had on our list! Property was beautifully clean, stylish, fully equipped and with a lovely huge garden. We have stayed in a lot of great Vrbo properties and this is one of our favourites.

18th Century Stunning Cottage

If I could give 10 stars I would. The Cottage was beautiful and the back garden was stunning. Even the neighbours cows enjoyed meeting us at the fence. Gary was very knowledgeable about the area. We loved staying there.

Home from Home!

The house is an old cottage which has been modernised to give an upstairs living area and downstairs sleeping which is perfect for affording views of the breathtaking surrounding area.The attention to detail within the home is gorgeous from the bedding and soft furnishings to the furniture placing and kitchen accessories, there is nothing additional we could have asked for.It enabled a totally restful break.The Harlech Deli and the view as you leave the house at the top of the road are things we will never tire of!We would recommend whole heartedly.

A wonderful place to relax!!If you’re looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Hen Sabl is the perfect spot.Tucked away in a peaceful location, it’s within walking distance to the beach and close to a village where you can get everything you need for a total chill-out in a cottage that’s equipped to the absolute highest standard, with a beautifully maintained garden. Honestly, you wouldn’t even need to leave—you could just soak in the calm, the silence, and the slow life that defines this place.For those seeking a bit more adventure, all the most beautiful sights of Snowdonia are within 30 minutes to 1.5 hours’ drive, but the views are so stunning that the journey flies by in a blink.We rarely return to the same accommodation twice, but the vibe here was so special that we’ll definitely be back. The hosts were very kind and helpful—they really went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable.When it comes to non-hotel stays, this one sets the new standard.

Great stay, thank you. Really easy checkin process and thank you so much for leaving us with some milk, coffee and snacks! So handy and much appreciated after a long journey. House is decorated beautifully with everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean! A little bit disappointed that there was only enough hot water for one of us to have a shower each day, after one 5-10 minute shower there would be no hot water for a good few hours. Regarding the location, you need a car to get around to any shops etc as none within walking distance that we found. There was also no info on local area such as restaurant recommendations etc but we did find a lovely pub which served very good food the Victoria inn. Other than the above we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much!

We are now enjoying our time managing the cottages at Llanfair and Dolgellau and taking time to soak up the beauty and healthy lifestyle that Snowdonia has to offer. We have brought a house which will be an on-going project as we have lots of ideas and aspersions to make it our perfect home.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We had been looking for a second cottage in Snowdonia to buy as a holiday home and we had specific requirements regarding the location. We wanted a cottage which was close to the beach and preferably with a sea view, we also wanted the cottage to be close to the countryside and mountains. We like to walk and explore so having all of this on our doorstep was important to us. When we came across Hen Stabl we knew that it was the cottage for us as it ticked all of the boxes on our wish list and in November 2017 we collected the keys and started the refurbishment project!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Hen Stabl is situated on the main bus route which services most of the main market towns and villages, it runs at regular intervals and the stop is only just up the lane from the cottage. There is a train stop at Llandanwg and Pensarn; both are only a 10minute walk from the cottage. The train is only made up of two carriages and you have to put your hand out for it to stop! Again it services all of the coastal villages and towns that you’ll probably want to visit. If you wanted to go further afield you can get to Birmingham with only one change!
