Brickside beds was built in 1890. It was completely remodeled and finished in 2014. Three bedrooms 2 1/2 baths. A beautifully landscaped yard , fenced in backyard. Central heat and air with gas fireplace in kitchen. Free Wi-Fi, washer dryer, Cablevision and Netflix, outdoor entertaining in fenced in backyard . Bonus room over the garage ...Guests have access to the entire house and outdoor space including bonus room over garage for one fee. Linens are included as well as condiments in the kitchen. Kitchen is complete with vegetable sink as well as double sink. All new appliances. Additional freezer and Refrigerator in garage.
We have a bicycle built for two in the garage. You may use to visit the City Of Emporia, which is only four blocks away. Also, a disc basket with disc for you to play with while you’re relaxing.

House is so cozy. Very clean and comfortable. House has everything you could need. Host is very attentive and easy to reach should you need anything or have any questions. This was our second stay and would definitely stay here again.

Brickside Beds was the most lovely home we've ever stayed in through VRBO.. The neighborhood was quaint and the town of Emporia was fabulous and very walkable. The host Chris was an amazing lady and we had a great time talking with her and because of all of this, we stayed an extra night. We can't wait to visit Emporia and Brickside Beds again in the future.

Comfortable cozy home

Home was very clean, cozy and had everything you could possibly need. Owner was attentive and easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

This is the place!!! Beautiful clean, immaculately cared for home on quiet street with a front porch swing. So many thoughtful touches- fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, excellent wifi, easy communication. Could not ask for more.

Charming clean home

Conveniently located near downtown with comfortable sleeping and living/dining/outdoor area. Big kitchen with everything we needed and even some cookies and muffins.

Brickside Beds Emporia Ks

The house is beautifully renovated with room for all to share. The kitchen is a fabulous gathering spot and can step out into the welcoming back yard on a quiet street. We will stay here again.

Home away from home

Chris is gracious and kind and offers the sort of detail that one would expect from welcoming family. She is very accomodating and provided special touches which allowed us peace and rest. There was even breakfast! We can't wait to come again!

Comfortable, Cozy Place to Stay with Great Amenities!

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation! Chris was a wonderful host and provided EVERYTHING we needed, including a awesome backyard perfect for entertaining. The house, both inside and out, was so cute! Thanks for creating a special place for our friends and family to enjoy a special time in our lives!

It was very comfy and homey. We had still icy ice tea and cinnamon rolls waiting for us upon arrival, a disc golf basket, lots of space in the home. A super comfy back yard and lots of character to this old house. Beautiful clawfoot tub off one bedroom, washer and dryer are basically brand new and supplies were provided (nice to return from a trip with clean clothes!) The owner was extremely kind, communicative and helpful.

Family Gathering

This house is perfect as a place to host a family gathering. The kitchen is perfectly appointed and well-stocked, the towels are plush, the bedding is great, and every need is thought of in advance. I have stayed in many rentals and this host put so much thought into what renters might need: earplugs, extra toilet-paper, clearly marked trash and recycling, etc. WONDERFUL

Perfect Fit

The house was very cozy but not at all small. It was just what our family needed. The backyard was beautifully decorated with vintage items. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch in the morning and enjoy a quiet start to the day. As it was in our case the extra refrigerator and freezer in the garage was a life saver as we had transported a rather large wedding cake and needed to store it til the next day. It was perfect!!

Second time as good as the first

This was our second stay. What can I say? Nearly perfect. The only "problem" with location(as its actually very conveniently located) is that there is a busy train somewhat nearby that our guests, who did not stay with us last time, noticed more than my hubs and I did (but we lived right by a train track for 5 years or so)...Food, tea, goodies all left for us. Clean. Nice back yard. Pet friendly.

Best birthday ever!

Chris' place and her hospitality helped make this my favorite birthday party ever. I turned 80 in July. Because of the heat that time of year, I chose to celebrate in October. The weather was fine enough to spend a good deal of time in the great back yard of the property doing exactly what I wanted most to do - visit, laugh, eat, play, sing, sit around a fire, etc. with my siblings, children, grandchildren in the area in which I was raised - Olpe & Emporia. I will call on these memories fondly, as I move into the next decade of my life. Thank you Chris and my family members.

Outstanding- perfect for our needs

Our hostess was very accommodating, generous and thoughtful. We had groceries and everything we could possibly think of and need when we checked in. Will definitely stay again. Super comfortable

Wonderful house

The house is gorgeous and has everything you need. Our host stocked the kitchen with pastries and all the supplies for breakfast! This is the place to stay in this area!

Chris is a great host. She insisted on giving a quick house tour when we arrived. She left fresh iced tea and muffins in the kitchen. When I couldn’t find a tea kettle and asked where she keeps it, she went out to buy one and left it at the door! Only a couple negatives: (1) there is only one shower in the whole house, (2) for light sleepers, there is a train just a couple blocks from the house that comes about every hour even through the night.

Cute and Cozy

What a cute and cozy property! Chris is the loveliest host and incredibly thoughtful with all the amenities she provides. My family especially enjoyed the cookies she left for us. Highly recommend!

Homey!!

This place reminded me of a favorite aunt’s house. Seems like she just stepped out for a bit, and told us to make ourselves at home! All 4 of us enjoyed our visit and we would gladly stay there again.

Like staying at a friend’s home!

The only problem was that our stay was too short! This property was a perfect place for a girl’s weekend getaway. It was clean, comfortable and convenient!
