Hugglepit Cottage es una delicia del siglo XVII con vigas de madera a la vista y una chimenea inglenook. Dos grandes salas de estar ofrecen un amplio espacio en el interior. El primero es un comedor y sala de estar con chimenea y el segundo un espacio grande y único para fiestas más grandes. Ventanas francesas se abren a un patio para barbacoas y el huerto. Absolutely loved staying here,as did the rest of my family. We will nefinetly visit again. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Denise and Peter who were so nice, and made sure we had everything we needed. The stay was that good it left a tear to our eyes when we had to leave. Highly recommended

The cottage was well appointed. The cottage was so beautiful and well equipped with everything should need. Wonderful garden which we loved walking in each morning with our greyhound Olive. Denise and Peter were so helpful and great hosts.Denise supplies a very warm welcome and lovely bundle of Devon treats to start your stay. Hugglepit cottage is definitely on our list of great places to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay in Clovelly, the cottage was absolutely perfect we couldn't have been happier. The management of the property was very high standard. We would love to go back again in the spring.

Family Holiday

Excellent place to stay very cosy and well taken care of cottage. Lots of extra effort by the team to make our stay comfortable like a box of eggs and few essential bits waiting on arrival. Place was absolutely spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. Would love to visit and stay again.

Beautiful cottage with a warm friendly welcome

We enjoyed a lovely Easter week at the cottage and we’re extremely happy with the characterful home. Lots of space inside and out and all to a very good standard. A very warm welcome and nothing to much trouble. We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Perfect Relaxing Holiday

We had a fantastic time at Hugglepit Cottage. It is ideally located to explore North Devon and Cornwall. The house was absolutely beautiful, with everything you could want in a holiday home. Amazing gardens on the property which we were able to explore with the boys. Thank you to Peter and Denise who were the perfect hosts, living just down the road and always ready to help if needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

Idyllic!

We had a wonderful stay at Hugglepit Cottage, despite some slightly damp weather! The quiet location is perfect for children and dogs, all of whom loved exploring the garden, woodland and orchard, and the cottage itself is very comfortable and well-equipped. We particularly enjoyed watching the resident bats and barn owl in the evenings. A great place from which to explore North Devon (and North Cornwall). A huge thank you to Denise and Peter and the whippets who made us feel so welcome.

Ideal for nature lovers.

The owner Denise was very polite and informative but not intrusive. If you are an animal lover this is for you. Bats are living in one of the outbuildings and camera linked to the TV. Bird table with so many species plus the Owls nesting in the owners barn. Nice welcome pack on arrival including eggs from the owners chickens Excellent views of the coast and Lundy.

Really beautiful property, and very well kitted out: felt like staying in a home, and a warm and welcoming one at that. Stunning location - rural and car required regularly if you are as poorly organised in food and diesel stakes as we were! But, wouldn't care if stayed for weeks - views beautiful, fields, woods, cliffs and beaches. Best explored region of coast by foot, definitely, with some gorgeous sun rises and sunsets from cliff tops. Peter and Denise were lovely, helpful and friendly.

Relaxation and Stunning scenery in abundance

A secluded cottage down a lane with only 2 properties. Warm welcome from the Owners who live in the other property down the Lane. Wonderful kitchen with everything you need. Stunning inglenook fireplace in the kitchen, with comfy couch to relax. Light, airy and large lounge at the other end of the cottage with wood burner for cosy nights in front of the TV. Outside eating area for those sunny days and warm evenings. One bedroom downstairs plus 3 bedrooms upstairs. The dawn chorus is worth waking up for, just makes the beautiful cottage that much more special.

What a wonderful cottage!

We have just returned home from Hugglepit cottage following a wonderful week in Devon The cottage is perfectly placed to access various beaches around north Devon The cottage itself is beautiful inside and out. It has everything that our 3 generation family could ask for. It is very well equipped and immaculately kept. The bed linen was immaculate, the towels were large and fluffy and the kitchen was very well equipped. The gardens are lovely and our little dog loved running around the various nooks and crannies in the characterful garden. The welcome food pack for both us and our dog was a lovely touch Our hosts Denise and Peter were very welcoming and Denise brought us over a lovely cream tea. The bats in the barn and the bat cam were a hit with our son and Peter the owner took him into the barn to see the bats We will definitely be returning to Hugglepit Cottage on our next trip to Devon

Excellent stay in a gorgeous North Devon cottage

We had a wonderful fortnight at Hugglepit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt so comfortable in this home away from home. And the welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch from the kind and generous owners, Denise and Peter, who live in the only other house down the lane. The way that they looked after us with fresh eggs, milk and the best cream tea throughout our stay really made our holiday special - we have never felt so looked after in a holiday cottage! As well as the fantastic owners, the cottage itself is perfect - lots of space with two lounge areas and two fireplaces and a large well-equipped kitchen. The gardens around the cottage offer some tranquil spots to unwind and relax. The cottage is well situated for some stunning walks along the North Devon and North Cornwall coast and for local villages and beaches. All in all, our stay at Hugglepit Cottage brought us everything we were hoping for from our 2021 staycation - and much more, thanks to Denise and Peter. We hope to return!

This cottage is a fabulous place to stay and was a great base from which to explore North Devon. We stayed in this cottage for a week in mid-July 2022, when the weather was perfect every day, and we all agreed it was 10/10. The cottage is down a narrow private lane where the only other residents are the lovely owners Denise and Peter (and their two dogs), who could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The cottage is secluded and peaceful. It has stunning views of the sea and glorious sunset views both upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is large and leads on to an open snug area, which is a perfect. There is a large sitting room which has lovely french windows and a garden patio area where we had all our meals. That was special. The main garden is gorgeous and our two large dogs enjoyed running around and basking. There are some stunning beaches within 15-40 minutes drive away. Clovelly is just a mile away and towns like Barnstaple, Bidedord and Bude are all around 30 minutes away. We walked a bit of the coastal path and explored a few coves, where we discovered this was no place for a child buggy. I never go back to the same place twice but I could make an exception for this cottage.

Das Cottage ist ganz sicher kein "Häuschen" sondern ein wunderbares Haus. Viel Platz im EG mit grosser Wohnküche inkl. offenem Kamin, einem weiteren Wohnzimmer mit offenem Kamin und schöner Terrasse. Ausserdem im EG ein Bad und ein großes Schlafzimmer für zwei Personen, im OG zwei kleine und ein grosses Schlafzimmer und noch ein Bad. Alles super gepflegt, vollumfänglich ausgestattet, sogar der Kamin war schon für das erste Feuer eingerichtet. Der historische Hausteil ist besonders gemütlich und der Garten - inkl. der dort lebenden Fasane - ganz wunderbar. Es gibt keine direkten Nachbarn, man kann hier wunderbar entspannen.
