Dear Jo Ann, We are sorry you were disappointed with the condo. The pictures listed on the website are accurate and depict exactly what the furniture in the condo looks like. Although the style may not be your personal taste, it is clean and functional and you knew what it looked like before you booked. The condo was deep cleaned and inspected before your arrival. We are sorry that on this occasion this property did not meet your expectations. On the day of your check-in, you called us immediately because you couldn't find your Shorewalk condo. A colleague of our staff was on the phone with you for almost 30 minutes to give you directions to Shorewalk over the phone. Which is no problem for us, and we are happy to help. You then called our office as you were having trouble connecting to the internet and your own DVD. At this time a staff member from A Paradise came over to the condo to help assist with connecting to the internet and getting you’re DVD player working. Again, no problem at all. Unfortunately, after these two calls, we did not receive any further calls from you in regard to any other issues. We cannot rectify issues if they are not reported. We don't know who you spoke to at Shorewalk. This person (manager?) was not responsible for this condo. Each condo is managed by different property managements. Furthermore, Shorewalk does not allow guests to send their private mail. Unfortunately, the HOA has decided to allow only owners receive mail, at the clubhouse or mailbox. Entire Shorewalk complex has 280 condos, and which means that the mail cannot be delivered to each. Furthermore, the photos shown here are exactly what the condo looks like and the property description never mentions that the condo is on Anna Maria Island. Our description says exactly where and how far the condo is from Anna Maria Island/Beaches. Next time we advise you to read the Arrival Instructions which included the Address and a map of Shorewalk and the condo description better. All guests before you have stayed have no complaints at all. Julia, I’m so sorry about this. So, when we checked the unit in November the carpet did not look like this. After your email we have called a carpet cleaner to clean the carpets and changed one of the keys too. If we had been made aware at your stay of these problems, we would happily have dealt with some of this issues promptly and efficiently. With that said, we did not receive any phone calls or emails from you during your stay with any complaints, so we were a bit taken back when we read your review. We have never had any complaints about the Shorewalk Vacation Villas clubhouse staff. Shorewalk Vacation Villas welcomes all guests, and it is very kid friendly. We are sorry you felt as though you were discriminated against, and we certainly wish you would have called or said something to the Shorewalk Villas staff while you were here verses leaving it in a review. Hi John, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. It is unfortunate that you left such a negative review. Seems as though you did not clearly read the description and look at the photos enough to see exactly what you were renting. Our listing clearly states that there is no balcony and the pictures clearly show that as well. Our listing also clearly states the sizes of the beds. Queen and 2 twins… I believe these are standard sizes all over the world and there would be no possible way for us to have “small” beds as they are the standard queen and twin sizes. As far as firmness of mattress, everyone has a preference. This condo was rented out all summer and we never received any reports of the beds being uncomfortable. When you reported the issues with the master bedroom toilet a plumber was called and went and made the repair while you were not there the very next day—per your request. Also please note, you would not have been able to get a hotel for the price you paid at this condo. In addition you did damage the entry lock box at this property and did not follow check out procedures. I would not recommend you as a guest to other owners.
