Esta acogedora, acogedora y moderna casa de campo contigua a la casa del propietario es una base ideal de vacaciones para parejas que exploran el espectacular Distrito de los Lagos del Norte. Goza de una ubicación tranquila en el pintoresco pueblo de Thornthwaite, en las laderas del bosque de Winlatter, famoso por sus pistas de ciclismo de montaña y sus encantadores senderos. Para los observadores de aves interesados, se puede ver una plataforma de anidación del águila pescadora desde el jardín trasero del propietario (según disposición). La propiedad está rodeada de un paisaje impresionante y se encuentra a 3 millas al oeste de la popular ciudad comercial de Keswick, donde encontrará una gran cantidad de atracciones y servicios turísticos. Hay un buen servicio de autobuses a Keswick y Workington. El pueblo se encuentra a 1 milla del lago Bassenthwaite, ideal para practicar deportes acuáticos y pesca. Guarda bicicletas disponible. Great base to explore the Lakes. Cottage was well equipped, warm and welcoming. We did have a problem with wi-fi but the hosts were friendly, helpful and quick to seek a solution. Also a lovely art gallery and coffee shop almost next door!

A lovely cottage in a cute village with lots of walks from the door and a short drive to many more walks and the town of Keswick. The kitchen was really well equipped. Note, holiday was taken during Covid-19 restrictions so some amenities were not available. The accommodation was deceptively spacious. Plenty of space in the kitchen area with the benefit of full-size freezer and fridge and large microwave oven in addition to hob and fan-oven and dishwasher. The mattresses could do with replacing as they dip slightly in the middle. After the first night I slept well though. The furniture in the living room is dated, but still comfortable. The ceiling in the bedroom can be a bit of a hazard for tall people - so something to be aware of as it slopes down, but overall, we were very satisfied. We had a lovely stay, the place was exceptionally clean and it was a lovely home away from home for the week. I would recommend booking any restaurant bookings well in advance as almost everywhere was fully booked when we arrived. Really beautiful location - stunning scenery and there is a really lovely walk right by the apartment which gives you beautiful views. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We loved returning. The cottage is so well equipped and well located for walks and adventures, one right from the door! My 9 year old loved it again and said it was sad to leave. The only thing he has said on the less positive side is he wish he could have got to ride the quad bike or been in the garden! Lovely people and will always return. Thanks Don!

We enjoyed our week in Jebel Kasr the hosts were friendly but didn't keep dropping in So that was nice as we are a quiet pair. The cottage was lovely and met our needs, my only criticism was that it got a little chilly in the mornings and Evenings as there is only a small window in the sitting room area it looked like there used to be a fire installed but had been removed. Owners might want to have the fire put back there was a little convector heater which we used. Other than that it was great Many Thanks
