Esta antigua casa de la escuela del pueblo construida en 1857 y ahora convertida en esta casa de vacaciones adosada, se encuentra en el borde de la aldea de Peak Forest y tiene vistas al campo virgen con paseos desde la puerta. Hasta el siglo XVIII, Peak Forest era conocido como un "Gretna Green" local, ya que el vicario local tenía la libertad de celebrar ceremonias matrimoniales. Uno de los baches más profundos, Eldon Hole se encuentra cerca y a 4 millas de distancia se encuentra la aldea de Castleton. Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath, con teleférico, están muy cerca. This was a quiet idyllic cosy venue to explore the Peak District with footpaths and bridleway from the cottage and a bike storage facility behind the cottage. The cottage was very clean, the owner provided the cleaning gel and wipes for covid19 precautions. The kitchen had adequate utensils and we were able to make different meals at home as well as eating out. I will book this again for a family walking or cycling holiday or with friend. We had a really enjoyable week at Forest View.

We had a really enjoyable week at Forest View. The cottage was both clean and well equipped. The owners Jill and David left a generous welcome pack and the fire was alight when we arrived which made the room very cosy. It was difficult to score for local amenities as the reason we chose this cottage was its rural location. In addition there were lots of restrictions locally due to Covid 19. We still had a fantastic time, especially in the beautiful hillsides and we were relatively lucky with the weather! We would definitely stay again. We have now stayed at Forest View 3 times.

We have now stayed at Forest View 3 times. It is a lovely little property with everything you need as a family with very young children. We love the area with opportunities to Visit caves, swim in an outdoor pool, visit Buxton and explore the countryside. Jill is a wonderful host; not overbearing but there if needed. We are very sad to have outgrown the property but will be recommending it to other friends with young families. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Forest View is a lovely cottage in an idyllic location, with beautiful peak landscape views stretching in all directions. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage, and although we didn't need it, clearly everything you'd need for a baby, or toddler, was provided too, including guards on all the electric sockets. We really enjoyed our week there. All the cottages we've rented have been good, but this was the best of them all.
