Espectacular, accidentado sendero de playa y costa en Welcombe Mouth. Surf, equitación, vela y golf disponibles en las inmediaciones. Beautiful, comfortable and luxurious house. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room and bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. Hillary and Stephen are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful and they have plenty of suggestions and recommendations on what to do in the beautiful surroundings. We will definitely book Jack's barn if we return to Devon.

A fabulously relaxing week in a lovely cottage. Photos of Jack’s don’t do it justice - it’s very well-equipped, modern but charming and perfect for a family break. Very much out in the rambling North Devon countryside, but that’s a beautiful place to be. Games for children, plenty of space to relax and lovely soft bedding. A few flies around - but hey, it’s the countryside. This holiday far-exceeded our expectations - we found the cottage the perfect base for the holiday exploring a stunning corner of the country. Wonderful and well equipped cottage but beds far too soft and rooms retain heat in summer so uncomfortable in high season. Lovely little garden and is oddly directly adjacent to a neighbouring house not belonging to the owner so have to go up their drive. Would score more highly if in a better location as it is rather awkward access down a single track road miles from anything, but near lanes too busy to safely walk down.

A lovely place to stay, if a little out of the way, with very friendly and helpful hosts. Exceedingly well provided for in terms of facilities and equipment. Spotless and well presented. The only downsides were the need to drive everywhere to do much (but we had, of course, realised that already when booking) and a minor plague of flies but I guess that’s what happens when you book late summer! Overall a lovely place to stay as a touring base and somewhere I expect we’ll be returning to pretty soon.

Wonderful property, the kindest of hosts, a beautiful location My wife and I have just spent a week staying with friends in this gorgeous cottage. We are delighted we made the wise choice of renting this property. It is ideally placed to explore the beautiful North Devon and Cornwall coast. We found the property to be immaculately clean and easy to operate. The huge living area was beautifully appointed. The leather settees were particularly comfortable and we felt right at home as soon as we sat down. All the wooden furniture was solid oak – which was totally in keeping with the modern farm style furnishings. The kitchen area was spacious with modern appliances. It was well equipped with lots of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The two bedrooms had ample storage and the beds has a firm, supportive mattresses. There was a full family bathroom and an en-suite in one of the bedrooms. All fittings were modern and stylish with abundant hot water at an impressive pressure. Our hosts were meticulous in setting up the property with every possible feature to ensure their guests would have a care free stay. There was a huge range of DVDs to enjoy during the evenings – sensitively selected for general appeal. There were plenty of walking guides on hand to benefit from the proximity of the fantastic coastal path walking. Every aspect of the accommodation reflected the hosts’ commitment to our comfort and well-being. We were very grateful for the welcome gifts at the start of our stay – a beautiful floral display greeted us which adorned our dining table. The cottage is set in a very attractive garden. There is a small terrace for al fresco dining (barbecue available) and the external ambiance is one of tranquility and rural charm. This is an exceptionally delightful property, which such warm and considerate owners. We have no hesitation in recommending this property to future renters.

This was my third time at jacks barn and every time I walk in the door I relax straight away.

This was my third time at jacks barn and every time I walk in the door I relax straight away. Everything you need is there, young or old you will be very comfortable. Everything is so clean and tidy. There are lots of places to explore, lots of imformation is provide for you in the way of leaflets which will keep you busy trying to decide where to go first and Hilary the owner told us about an open garden which we visited enjoyed very much. Hilary was very helpful with imformation and also coming to see we had settled in which of coarse we had straight away. I cannot recommend jacks barn enough it is the best one I have ever stayed in and i am already looking to see when I shall be returning.
