Situada en el bonito pueblo de Ardentinny, cerca de las orillas del lago Long, esta casa de vacaciones independiente de una sola planta se encuentra en una ubicación ideal para explorar la península de Cowal. La ciudad de Dunoon está a poca distancia y tiene una buena selección de tiendas, pubs y restaurantes. Hay una gran variedad de actividades al aire libre que se ofrecen con vela, pesca en el mar, windsurf, excursiones en lancha RIB de alta velocidad, quads, tiro al plato y más. Los magníficos jardines botánicos de Benmore merecen una visita y hay muchos senderos boscosos disponibles para caminar y montar en bicicleta. Las excursiones en el famoso barco de vapor "Waverley" están disponibles directamente desde el muelle de Dunoon hasta 5 días a la semana durante la temporada, y son muy recomendables. Toda la zona está llena de historia y cuenta con una gran cantidad de vida silvestre con ciervos, nutrias, águilas doradas, ardillas rojas y delfines a menudo vistos. Con base en el Parque Nacional de Loch Lomond y Trossachs, ¡hay muchos días fantásticos para todas las edades! Compre 3 millas, pub y restaurante a 500 yardas.

Achnaha was a perfect cottage for us and the dogs.

Achnaha was a perfect cottage for us and the dogs. There was everything we needed and more. Being all on the one floor was a necessity for my partner and the secluded garden was a hit with the dogs. I would certainly recommend and would love to return.

Very pleasant, well kept cottage with thoughtful and helpful owners. A very quiet location with a large sheltered garden. It is also close to many forest walks and the beach. There is an excellent pub/restaurant in the village.

Beauty and tranquility

Ardentinny reposes between scenic loch and stunning rugged forest-covered hills. Peace abounds. Friendly pub overlooking the loch. Cottage was very comfortable and relaxing and everything was there that was needed.

Cottage was lovely .

Cottage was lovely ..long drive in on a single track road was the only downfall. The "midges " were awful but that's to be expected in Scotland in summer. The cottage itself was nice and comfy...the log burner was good we used it a couple of times as the weather was typical Scottish. Very relaxing time . One other problem. We had was the TV . .the Freesat box was intermittent I think this maybe had to do with the WiFi.

Had a great stay. Positives - only a couple of minutes walk to the beach, great location to access Argyll Forest Park sites and many lovely walks, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet/remote neighbourhood Negative - shower was shockingly bad, hardly any pressure and felt like you couldn't wash the shampoo/conditioner out of your hair. Decor looking a little tired and could do with a lick of paint/modernising in places (but this didn't take away from cleanliness or comfort) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Absolutely loved our stay.

Absolutely loved our stay. Loved the cottage, its location and the extra little touches the owner had placed. Thank you for the bottle of wine the WiFi was brilliant, we were a bit unsure how that would be in Ardentinny but it didn't let us down. The only negative we would bring would be the shower needs to be updated, after a long walk in the rain, a power shower would have made our stay 10/10. Other than that we cannot fault our stay. The bed was really comfortable, slept like a log!! We saw lots of wildlife, including a red squirrel that made lunch of some bread thrown out for the birds!! Who cares about the rain when you can stay here!! Thank you very much.  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
