An incredible stay with every luxury you could want in this location. The owner was attentive and very helpful, making sure our group had everything we needed. The home is absolutely beautiful—perfectly suited for a large gathering. Highly recommend!

Stunning home in awesome location. Everything was perfect and communication was easy. Walked to U of O football game with direct, easy, and close route. Biking trials right outside the door. We ll be back for sure!

USA Track and Field Nationals at U of O Hayward Field

Perfect location and home for 4 days of Track Outdoor Nationals at U of O. Fun to watch all the runners on the Pre Trail right from the house. The pool was a great way to cool off each day. The house is spacious with a well stocked kitchen. Beds, linens, and towels were very comfortable.

Beautiful location, cool house, and great host

We were a group of runners for the Eugene Marathon/Half marathon. This location was perfect for us. It gave everyone enough space and the hot tub after running was fantastic. We made all our meals there so having a nice big kitchen was great too. Not everyone ran so at least one person was able to enjoy one of the kayaks. The wildlife and being on the water in such a beautiful and peaceful location made the entire weekend special. The host was also very responsive to questions and any needs we had.

Beautiful stay in scenic Eugene

Being in walking distance to Autzen yet feeling like you are in a secluded resort - that's the feel of this beautiful house. It is very spacious and all the beds are very comfortable. We felt very much at home immediately. There is a lot of room to relax around this house both inside and outside. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare and cook and the knives are actually sharp! Although we didn't have weather to support using the pool, we did cayak up and down the river which was a blast and really loved the ducks and geese that swam by every morning to greet us as we drank our coffee on the pool patio. The walking path that leads around the river has access just half a block down. All the homes in this neighborhood have beautiful landscaping that make walks around the area so beautiful. For us to visit our daughter during her graduation from UO, this house was our ideal spot because the kitchen and eating areas are large enough for our big family. We ordered our groceries ahead for pick up so we didn't waste any time getting settled. The owner is very responsive and helpful and we are so happy we stayed here.

A fantastic location for Oregon gathering

We were lucky enough to book this gorgeous home for Oregon Family Weekend with 3 other couples. The house itself is amazing and comfortable and has lots of space so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The location is so perfect and we were able to walk to and from the stadium and not have to worry about parking or traffic. The kitchen is well stocked and perfect for eating chili after the football game. We will definitely be back!

Stunning home and location!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Del Root and will definitely be back! It was the perfect location to walk to a game at Autzen, we had some nice weather for part of our stay and enjoyed the canoe, kayaks, and paddle board and on the cooler evenings, the hot tub was perfect! We had a very minor issue come up and the owner took care of it immediately! We loved everything about our stay and the Roots were excellent hosts! Don’t pass on this rental!

Family Gathering Place

We needed a place to gather with family who live in Eugene. This was the ideal place. The home is very welcoming and the outdoor options are amazing. There are kayaks, the pool, the hot tub, the fire pit, and areas to play games and sit and talk. Inside and out, this home is perfect for memories.

Large Home in a Beautiful Location

Our stay at the property for our daughter's graduation was wonderful. Shawn was very attentive and quick to respond to any of our questions, bring supplies, etc. The home was spacious and easily accommodated our family and in-laws, and it was a great spot for the extended family to gather to eat or walk to Autzen for the grad ceremony. There was ample parking in the big circular driveway. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc. The backyard was fabulous with the pool and hot tub, looking out over the water where there were paddleboards and kayaks for us to use. We loved sitting out and watching the birds, and taking extended walks out from the property. Thank you for helping make our daughter's graduation week so memorable.

Fantastic Property

We don't usually stay at the same property twice, but this was our second stay here because we loved it so much and this stay was better than the first. We definitely plan to return again. Outstanding location, clean, great water sport options in the backyard, everything as advertised, and strong communication from the owner. Couldn't be better. Thanks for a memorable trip.

Second time and just as great

We visited two years ago, had a ball, and our return trip was even better. Shawn is a fantastic host and his house is the BEST. More than enough space for our full crew of two sets of grandparents, parents and kid. We spent three full days swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and hot-tubbing. Nothing could be better. We'll be back!

Great Host, Great Location, Great Time

Shawn, home owner, was quick to communicate even in the weeks leading up to our stay. The pictures don't do the house and landscaping justice - it was beautiful! All the aunties and nieces staying here were so grateful to be able to be together AND in such an incredible location.

Perfect place

This place was awesome. Great location, walking distance to Autzen stadium was a major plus. The house was really nice, with perfect hangout spot outside. Home owner was nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place.

While this is our primary family gathering residence, schooling, work travel, and volunteering is keeping us very busy. We would like to share our experience of balance and peace while you are in Eugene.

So many choices! Once you arrive and take in a morning or evening you will see our affliction with this particular spot. With so much very close in city life, athletics, cultural arts, and nearby wilderness, it is often surreal that we are in a local neighborhood in Eugene.

Yes!
The water features and small wildlife which create a great calm you cannot escape.
Having dock access to canoe, kayak, paddle boarding, fishing, and the pool for lounging then soaking from the hot tub in the evening, are all very unique.
You will return to a place in a divine space after a day of working an Olympic track meet trial, children's Oregon graduation or move in, in town for business, or any number of family gatherings. Maybe just to relax and take in some PAC12 College sports. All in walking distnace
