Dos casas de campo de piedra bellamente restauradas que comparten una gran piscina privada. Cada casa tiene su propio jardín con césped y una ubicación ideal para visitar los viñedos de Burdeos. Situado en el valle del Garona, rodeado por una plantación de kiwi. Este es el escenario rural perfecto para unas vacaciones relajadas. Los amables propietarios de inglés brindarán asistencia y asesoramiento local, servicio de niñera bajo petición. Golf, piragüismo y equitación disponibles a nivel local.

Idéal pour des vacances au calme en famille

Très bon séjour. Accueil chaleureux de Tim. Environnement spacieux et très calme et tout à fait adapté aux enfants (jeux). Piscine très agréable. Maison conforme aux photos. Voie verte accessible rapidement en vélo. Idéal pour des vacances reposantes en famille!

Ravi encore une fois de notre second séjour

Deuxième séjour chez Tim pour nous. Nous avions été enchantés l année passée tant par le gîte ( piscine, terrasse ombragée ...) que par Tim qui est un excellent hôte qui connaît la région sur le bout des doigts. Il nous a donné d excellentes suggestions de visites et animations ( descente du Ciron en Canoe, visite du site des « gens de Garonne », ballades en vélo sur les bords du canal ...). Le gîte est tout à fait adapté aux familles (grand terrain et jeux extérieurs pour les enfants). Bref, nous recommandons pour des vacances au vert.

Fantastic Family Holiday!

We enjoyed a fabulous two week stay at Jasmin, a rustic French gite with two beautiful bedrooms and some lovely private outdoor space. Badminton, trampoline and swimming pool on site. Tim is so helpful with his local knowledge and suggestions for things to do. From cycling through cornfields, sunflower fields and along the canal, canoeing on the river and experiencing the lively night markets in the surrounding towns there is plenty to do. A beautiful area of France and less than a hours drive from Bordeaux which is also well worth a visit. Fabulous holiday.

Chez vous, nous avons trouvé ce coin de Paradis ou nous avons trouvé le Bonheur; Bonheur quant à la qualité de votre accueil et de votre serviabilité, Bonheur quant à l'hébergement dans une maison typique de votre région dans un parc merveilleux où les platanes et pins trônent au dessus d'un gazon taillé à l'anglaise et où une magnifique piscine, entretenue avec soins, domine la pelouse. Lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful house

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves staying in this authentic French farmhouse. We spent our time cycling along the canal (Tim has bikes - including a seat for a toddler and a helmet too), finding the best 'menus du jours' and generally exploring the area. And our son enjoyed playing by the pool and in the tree house, and jumping on the trampoline. Tim was a great host and had loads of advice on things to do while we were there. He kindly offered to buy us some food supplies as it would be quite late when we arrived which was so helpful and much appreciated. Lovely relaxing holiday :)

Wonderful stay in the perfect French Farmhouse

Perfect French farmhouse, rural France, pool and wine! Easy access to Bordeaux, The great dune of Pyla, Arcachon, St Emilion and many more attractions. Tim is the perfect host and the on site facilities are outstanding. We stayed for 3 weeks and would have loved to stay longer. We will be back and we recommend it highly.

Cosy farmhouse in the French countryside

We are a family of four (with two boys aged two and four), and we have had the pleasure of spending a week in French Farmhouse vacations in Barie (in the summer of 2017). The place is ideal for kids in all ages, as it is well equipped with a fenced pool, a trampoline, swings and even a really cool tree-house (in our experience the treehouse can also be used by relatively small children). The house itself is very cosy and meets every expectation you might have of an old French farmhouse. The host, Tim, is very welcoming and is good at providing suggestions for tours to go on and things to do. So, if you are looking for a nice and peaceful vacation in the French countryside, this place is close to ideal. Kia and Klaus Tranbjerg Toftgaard

Spacious accommodation, nice pool and garden. Very helpful host.

Peaceful location, close to Bordeaux vineyards and chateaux. Lots of local markets. As described on the website. Not directly situated near the canal/river but only about 5-10 minutes away by bike. No local (walking distance) boulangerie. Very helpful, friendly and welcoming host who was also willing to help organise activities. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break.

Fantastic place

This was a fabulous place to stay. The house was perfect, loved the pool and outside area. A great place for cycling around and being able to hire the bikes from Tim was brilliant. Tim was very helpful and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend this as a great place to spend your holidays!!!

Fantastic location with plenty to see and do

Travelling as a group of six adults we stayed in both properties (La Rose and Jasmine) for 1 month. All was as described and more than met our expectations. The hosts Tim and Lin where absolutely fantastic and helped us map and plan our daily outings. The entire time was spent either exploring, cycling, canoeing or sampling the delicious local produce found at the many local markets and of course the wine. The tranquil surrounds made it very pleasant for the odd sleep in. Several great restaurants in and around the area made dining in or out a hard choice. Congratulation to Tim & Lin for getting the formula just right (premises pristine and expert local knowledge combined with a beautiful location). I have no hesitation in recommending this business and we all hope to return soon.

Excellent&will recommend to any one visitingFrance

Excellent accommodation. The house is beautiful and has all facilities along with the pool. Tim is very helpful and advised us about the places to visit, restaurants etc. He also provided us with local maps which is a great help We are thankful to Tim for making our holiday enjoyable. We forgot our camera in the accommodation and Tim immediately posted the camera on our request which is very nice of him We had a two and half year old baby and we were pleasantly surprised as Tim arranged a baby cot. The place has play area for children with swings etc which our girl enjoyed a lot I would recommend this accommodation for any one visiting France and would like to stay somewhere near Bordeaux. Its a great place for families with Kids as well and you wont get disappointed Veda Priya Chinnam

La Rose July 2011

We stayed in La Rose in July 2011. This was our second occasion to stay at this location (the first time we stayed in the second cottage "Jasmin"). The fact that we returned speaks volumes. Both houses have much to commend them. They are both well equipped with everything you could wish for. Tim and Lin were excellent hosts, available to answer any queries and offer advice. Our weather was a little mixed, starting with severe thunder storms but we had some nice sunshine. Although we have been here twice we would still feel that we haven't seen everything yet. We were there for Bastille Day and we enjoyed fireworks at La Reole. We hired bikes and cycled along the canal banks in blazing sunshine returning to the pool for a well earned dip. Other highlights included a trip to St Emillion, the night market Monsegur and general walks around the area. A fine spot that I would not hesitate to recommend.

Wow! Wonderful!

My husband, 7 yr old son and I stayed at this wonderful farmhouse for a week this summer - it wasn't long enough! We stayed in La Rose- beautiful, clean and spacious with lovely views of the surrounding farms. The pool and badminton set were well used and appreciated by all of us. The house is perfectly situated for daytrips to Bordeaux, wineries, St Emilion, the Dune de Pilat, and many castles. Tim and Lin were exceptional hosts who are incredibly knowledgable about the area including frech history. We highly recommend the farmhouse and hope to return ourselves very soon. Paradise!

What can one say about a little corner of paradise? Far from the madding crowd but close enough to the action if you want it. . We have visited many times and will be back. ! If you are looking for a peaceful rural location with hosts who care about the comfort and well being of their guests this is the place for you. Their local knowledge is comprehensive and their willingness to assist with holiday plans is invaluable. (Especially where to source the best value local wine!) Staying in this charming cottage is a real ' French' experience. Although the owners are British this isn't in a Brit enclave. So if you are looking to experience the True charm of Rural France here it is. Our favourite passtimes include taking a leisurely 3 hour lunch under the shade of the huge plane tree! or an early evening swim as the sun sets and the shadows lengthen. The great wine routes of Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux are on the doorstep. The nearest town, La Reole, a crossing place of the mighty Garonne river, is charming and boasts some good restaurants and a traditional Saturday market on the quay side. Information on all the local markets and nearby attractions is furnished by the owners. It is perfect cycling country for the leisure cyclist like me but within striking distance of more challenging terrain for serious cyclists like my husband. Throughout the summer the wonderful ancient towns round about provide spectacular 'Fetes' with amazing history such as Bazas with it's 5th century church just a 40 min (i think?) drive away. Or Duras with it's ancient castle (and newsagent shop for international press if you can't do without! l ) As you can see by the above we love this area and we love this cottage. A little corner of paradise . i have no hesitation in recommending it to you.

The location of our homes is perfect for bringing up children .We are in a quiet river valley .Located at the end of a drive ,surrounded by a kiwi plantation.For total relaxation and lots of space for the children to be able run around in safety .This has been our world for the last 30 years, providing guests with information to enjoy an in depth experience of all this wonderful wine and historical region has to offer.
