Beach break 9/10

Our host, Antonio, was fantastic in communicating with us in the lead up and meeting us at the property. He also took the time to make suggestions about what to see and where to eat in the area. Also, thank you for the wine, Antonio, it was much appreciated. We were a family of four and loved the fact we could walk to the beach and walk the coastal track to the tower which we did on numerous occasions. The beach itself was terrific, clean and not overcrowded. The local shop has everything you need and Bosa is only 10 minutes away. We stayed for 9 days and Porto Alabe was a great location from which to explore the area. From Alghero, Bolotana, Oristano and everywhere in between...the area is stunning and offering a lot to do if you love the outdoors.

Great location and warm host

Antonio is extremely helpful owner and has plenty of personal advice on how to get the most out of your stay. The house is a short walk from the beach and Porto Alabe has a relaxed atmosphere. Bosa town and Bosa Marina are a short drive away, with plenty to see and do.

Original sardisches, Komplet ausgestattetes Domizil

Antonio ist ein freundlicher, aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Vemieter. Wir bewohnten das Erdgeschoss seines Hauses. Dieses ist stilsicher eingerichtet und mit allem versehen, bis hin zum Mixstab, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt benötigt. Für den Strandaufenthalt hatte er Badetücher, Sonnenschirme und Stühle zur Verfügung gestellt. Im Gegensatz zum Innenbereich machte der Garten leider einen unaufgeräumten und verwahrlosten Eindruck. Deshalb nur vier Punkte. Das Haus liegt ca. 5km von Bosa entfernt. Diese Distanz konnten wir mit unseren Pedeleks gut überwinden. Die ganze Gegend ist trotz der vielen Höhenmeter gut mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden. Der Strand ist 70m Luftlinie über die Straße ( 160 Treppenstufen) entfernt. Antonio hat uns viel Informationsmaterial zu Verfügung gestellt so dass wir uns gut zurechtfinden konnten. Er hatte zwei deutsche Fernsehprogramme installiert, was für Sardinien nicht unbedingt Standard ist.

We found the location and apartment to be just perfect!

On arrival Antonio was very welcoming and friendly. He was happy to advise us on the best local beaches and sights to see. The beach (moments away) was lovely and considering it was August, was in no way overcrowded. Antonio is so kind to lend his guests, beach chairs and a umbrella and beach towels. Even beach toys for the children. The apartment is just perfect for a family of four. The bedrooms are spacious and fitted with mosquito nets, fans and shutters. We slept so well as the beds are very comfortable and the area is so quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped and the shower has a decent pressure. We had a wonderful relaxing week in Porto Alabe and at the festival that Antonio took us to. He is incredibly generous with his time and gifts. We hope to return one year soon!

Très bonne situation, excellent accueil !

Très bonne adresse !! A 2 pas de la plage et proche de toutes commodités. Bosa est une très jolie petite ville, bien placée pour rayonner sur la Sardaigne. Antonio, le propriétaire, est très attentionné, très sympa et arrangeant. Ex : Il déposait sur la porte des idées de visites ou de manifestations dans la région (en français). La maison est très bien insonorisée (nous n'avons jamais entendu les 2 locataires successifs du dessus) et la cour intérieure est grande et très agréable. Tout le nécessaire pratique est là et Antonio laisse même des produits de 1ère nécessité comme les condiments et produits d'entretien. Bref, nous n'avons eu aucune mauvaise surprise par rapport à la description et aux photos. Nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances très agréables, grâce entre autre, à Antonio. Nous vous conseillons fortement cette location...

A perfect time in Antonio apartment.

Antonio was very friendly and helpful. The appartment is well equipped with spaciuos garden and barbecue. Apartment contained everything the tourist should need. 14 Tage beste Erholung!

Wir waren 2 Wochen Antonios Gäste. Sehr herzlicher Umgang, aber nicht aufdringlich. Hat uns einheimische Spezialitäten gebracht, war jederzeit hilfsbereit was z.B. Haus oder Aktivitäten angeht. Haus sauber, alles vorhanden, sogar Fahrräder. Haben gut geschlafen. Wir kommen wieder!

Wunderbarer Gastgeber

Antonio ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und hat uns den ganzen Urlaub über perfekt betreut. Angefangen von der selbst gemachten Marmelade die er uns geschenkt hat über Tipps wo es was zu sehen und zu hören gibt (wir haben dadurch wunderschöne Konzerte und Veranstaltungen erlebt) bis zu Wandervorschlägen und welches Restaurant zu empfehlen ist. Er war jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr, sehr hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet sogar Sonnenschirme und Sitzmöbel für den Strand. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Excellent holiday by the sea

We spent 5 nights in Porto Alabe in August 2015; Porto Alabe has a beautiful sandy beach, and the nearest beach to the flat is so close that you can go for a quick swim before breakfast. Porto Alabe is just 10 minutes drive from shops in the town of Bosa, which is also well worth visiting for its castle, mediaeval quarter and riverside restaurants, Porto Alabe is well-positioned for visiting other beaches on the west coast. Indeed, it might be necessary to find a more sheltered beach if the wind is from the west (Antonio can advise on this). The ground floor flat is exactly as described, ingredients such as oils, herbs and spices, tea and coffee are available in the kitchen (and some mirto in the freezer!), and we were also able to take a sun umbrella and chair for the beach, which we greatly appreciated Antonio brought us a gift of warm pane carasau and a jar of his own olives on our first evening, and was helpful throughout our stay, he gave us many suggestions of places to visit. I have no hesitation in recommending Porto Alabe as a holiday destination and Antonio's flat as a place to stay!

A quiet place to rest

The most important thing is that everything which had been written in the advertisment was true. Everything looked exactly the same as in the photos. What is more, we were welcome with all the necessary products to prepare dinner and in the meantime the owner offered us delicious surprises, typical of Sardinian cuisine. We liked the house very much, everything was clean and nicely organized. We also liked the localisation of the house. It was peaceful and quiet and that's exactly what we were looking for. The house is very close to the beach and the sea is crystal clean!

Sardische Gastfreundschaft

Ankommen und Wohlfühlen lautet wohl das Motto von Antonio, dem Gastgeber. Freundliche Begrüßung, ein blitzsauberes Haus mit allem, was man braucht - Handtücher, Strandtücher, Sonnenschirm, Spiele etc. Im Kühlschrank ein paar Getränke, im Vorratsschrank alles für eine erste Mahlzeit, ein frisches, selbst gebackenes Brot. Ein idyllischer, liebevoll gepflegter Garten mit schattiger Terrasse, ein Fahrrad steht bereit. Was will man mehr? Zum Strand sind es nur ein paar Schritte und in Bosa, das mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar ist, sind alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Ein idealer Ort, um zu entspannen oder Ausflüge entlang der wunderschönen Westküste zu unternehmen. Wer nicht weiß, wohin, bekommt Tipps von Antonio, wann und wo der nächste Markt oder das nächste Fest stattfindet oder wo ein besonders schöner Strand zu finden ist. Wir haben 10 entspannte Tage in Porto Alabe verbracht und uns rundherum wohl gefühlt.

What a fabulous place and such lovely hosts !

Me and two friends stayed in Porto Alabe at Antonio's apartment for 7 nights in September 2014 and we simply loved everything about it! He left a few things for us in the fridge which allowed us to make drinks and have a snack as soon as we arrived. The location is great, the apartment spotless clean and perfectly equipped , comfortable and spacious for 4 people , we really appreciated having breakfast and lunch in the garden . Close to the town of BOSA , five minutes by car , is near to the centre of the town with all its facilities and places to eat and drink and the beach is at 70 meters ! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the nearby area , we were able to make fabulous day trips up the stunning coast to Bosa and Alghero and down to some Nuraghe ruins and beautiful beaches on the Sinis peninsula and the archaeological site of Tharros . We felt very comfortable and had wonderful holidays!

Willkommen Italien!!

Wir, ich und meine Partnerin, waren 12 Tage auf Sardinien und davon 6 bei Antonio auf der Westseite von Sardinien in Porto Alabe. Vorweg: Was eine schöne Zeit! Antonio ist so ein wahnsinnig sympathischer humorvoller Sarde. Seine Gastfreundschaft ist vorbildlich! Man spürt seine Leidenschaft für das was er tut und für das wo er lebt. Und das kriegt man auch direkt präsentiert in seiner sehr angenehmen Art & Weise. Wir durften gleich zu Beginn von ein paar Köstlichkeiten probieren, die Antonio, seine Lebenspartnerin und seine Mutter für uns zubereitet hatten. Auch viele Vorschläge für das was man in unmittelbarer Nähe entdecken und unternehmen kann hat Antonio jederzeit bereit. Und er lässt einem sogar daran teilhaben! Er ist ein echter Lebemann und nimmt seine Rolle als verantwortungsvoller Gastgeber sehr ernst und ist immer zu erreichen. Und so wie ich ihn verstanden habe, möchte er das auch noch weiter ausbauen, denn er hat nicht nur diese eine Unterkunft im Angebot und arbeitet kräftig an den anderen. Die Ferienwohnung die wir hatten liegt im Erdgeschoss des Hauses das man auf den Bildern sehen kann. Herrlich, im Garten ein ca. 100jähriger Olivenbaum dem ein Granatapfel- und Zitronenbaum Gesellschaft leisten umringt von junger Weinrebe, Rosmarinstrauch und allerhand anderer mediterraner Gewächse. Übrigens war die Wohnung absolut sauber! Sehr heimatlich und wohnlich eingerichtet, so wie die Bilder es zeigen. Küche komplett ausgestattet und somit auch nutzbar. Und ein Sofa in der Küche bieten einem mal ein ganz anderen Platz als wir ihn gewohnt sind. Top! Für mich alles in bester Ordnung und eine Empfehlung!! Und wenn es nur eine Tour mit Antonio ist zu einer Nuraghe ist. Ich wünsche Antonio viel viel Erfolg in der Zukunft mit dem was er tut. Und noch etwas: Port Alabe liegt super um die Küsten nach Norden und Süden zu erkunden. Und von der anderen Straßenseite führt eine Steintreppe direkt runter zum Badestrand der sich in beide Richtungen 4 Kilometer erstreckt. Top!! Von den ganzen anderen Badestränden in unmittelbarer Nähe ganz zu schweigen.
