La casa data de alrededor de 1830 y construido en el diseño de un castillo francés tradicional. Está situado en un terreno privado y aislado. Hay una terraza cubierta que recorre la parte trasera de la casa junto a la piscina, al lado de la terraza es también una pequeña zona de bar con barbacoa. También hay una amplia zona de césped y un huerto con: cereza, higo, ciruela, pera y nogales. Un montón de lugares para sentarse en el sol o en la sombra! El alojamiento es muy flexible. La planta baja, con acceso a todas las habitaciones de la gran entrada consta de, planta abierta sala de desayunos conectado a un grande, y cocina totalmente equipada, sala de estar con TV y wifi, comedor formal. Arriba hay un gran cuarto de baño con bañera de esquina y ducha, dormitorio principal con cama con dosel, otras cuatro dormitorios (2 en suite), incluyendo entresuelo. Sistema de calefacción central, estufa de leña en la sala de estar, y una enorme chimenea en la sala de desayunos para mantener la casa caliente en invierno, y las paredes de piedra / guijarros gruesos que lo mantienen fresco en verano. Hay un cuidador de los jardines del hombre y de la casa. Si usted decide quedarse en Le Petit Chateau, la casa y los jardines de alrededor de 2 hectáreas, serán tuyos para la duración de su estancia. Superbe propriété au pied des Pyrénées

Magnifique propriété, ancienne et rénovée, très confortable et bien rénovée pour dix personnes. Nombreuses pièces, belle piscine et de quoi s'installer autour, très grande cuisine. Bref un lieu d'accueil parfait pour un groupe. Sur place, présence discrète mais efficace des représentants du propriétaire (accueil, résolution des problèmes, entretien de la piscine. Les Pyrénnées ne sont pas loin, comme Pau et son château...sans oublier le Gers. Séjour Parfait !

Fantastic summer break

The whole experience from booking to returning our keys was fantastic. The owner responded promptly to all pre trip communications and was very friendly and informative. The house is wonderful, even better than the pictures on the website. The kitchen is kitted out with everything that you could possibly need if you are eating in. The garden is beautifully maintained and spacious and the pool is so clean and inviting. We had planned to do so much whilst we were there but found it hard to tear ourselves away from the tranquility of the garden. Very relaxing. The supermarket is about 5 mins in the car and has everything that you could possibly need. Fantastic holiday and we would like to return one day.

Heerlijk domein om te genieten van rust, wijn, armagnac en Pyreneeën

Zeer verzorgd royaal vakantiehuis in een landelijke boeren sfeer. Het huis is zeer ruim en de bij behorende tuin ook. Er is een mooi overdekte plek om met 10 personen buiten te eten ook als het regent. Verder zijn er nog 3 tafel in de tuin waar je kan eten met een groep van 6. De Bbq is prima en ook het zwembad is groot en goed verzorgd. Verder is er een badminton baan en rackets. Het huis ligt in een rustig boeren dorp met vriendelijke inwoners. Ook de buren zijn erg vriendelijk. Zij lieten ons meedelen in de omvangrijke pruimen oost. Voor wijn liefhebbers is er genoeg te beleven in deze relatief onbekende omgeving. Het nabij gelegen dop Madiran is bekent om zijn rode wijn van hoog niveau. In de omgeving wordt ook goede witte wijn en armagnac gemaakt. Op ongeveer een uur rijden kun je genieten van de schoonheid van de Pyreneeën. Hier zijn mooie wandelingen en dagtochten mogelijk en ook de plaatsen Tarbes, Pau en Lourdes zijn de moeite waard. De eigenaren zijn ontspannen gastvrije mensen die de zaken op orde hebben. Dank voor het fijne verblijf.

Spectacular castle

This spectacular castle has everything. Set in rural countryside with Super U supermarket 8 minutes cycle ride away (bikes provided). Great pool & BBQ area, plenty of ground to sit in sun/shade with family games. Easy access to Lourdes & other local towns/ villages. Hosts very welcoming - even when your plane arrives late! We had a lovely relaxing holiday (spiked with adventure - local canonying ’Canyon epic’, 8m jumps great!) Thoroughly recommend & we will return.

Amazing property in a lovely area

The pictures that are shown of this property do not do it justice, it is even better than it looks on the website. The house is beautiful and enormous with more that enough space for 10 people to stay together comfortably. Everything you need is there. Even had the friendly neighbour give us some fresh eggs! Reassuring that the housekeeper is contactable whilst there if needed. Easy to reach restaurants and places of interest all a short drive away. Would highly recommend this property and would love to come back another year. Thanks for lending us your home!!

A wonderful place to stay

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is quiet and secluded yet there is a town nearby and more importantly a large SuperU (about 2 miles). The building is large and spacious and very well appointed. The pool is a good size. The maid attends once a week but is on call to assist with issues. We only had three things that needed to be dealt with. A small bug infestation on the upper floor, green swimming pool water and a wasp swarm from the property next door. None of these were the fault of the owner and didn't detract from the holiday at all. The villa is great fro visiting Lourdes. I would recommend this villa.

Beautiful house in lovely tranquil locatiopn

We had a really lovely holiday staying in the Petit Chateau. The house and gardens are really beautiful and very well equipped. The pool and outside eating area is also really lovely and we really enjoyed alfresco eating. We found lots to do in the area - the cycling was great and we made plenty of trips into the pyrenees which were just stunning. We also visiting lots of the surrounding villages which made for good cycling trips and the the nearest local village Maubourgeut has a selection of restaurants and patisseries - we would recommend Hotel De France as the food was v good. Peter and Jean could not have been more welcoming on our arrival and the locals in Larreule were all so friendly and warm. A lovely place to holiday - we would highly recommend it. Beautiful. The most relaxing week imaginable.

We came to celebrate our parents' 40th wedding anniversary and father's 60th birthday - 8 adults and two small children. We couldn't have picked a better house or location. The space that the house and gardens offer make it possible for relaxing and playing to happen at the same time. There was ample space for dining, be that leisurely breakfasts or family BBQs. We found a fete in Maubourget and lovely walks around the village and woodlands. We cycled, we day tripped to the Pyrannees, and the weather was stunning. We honestly could not have asked for more. Thank you to Jean and Pete for such a wonderful holiday! We'll most certainly be back. Becca, Tristan, Chris, Paul, Jack, Frank, Maria, Quentin, John and Joy.

Most relaxing destination

Having travelled to many parts of the world, this is firmly our most relaxing destination. If you are looking for a real French country experience then this is it. The house is every bit as appealing as it looks in the pictures and the welcome from the owners Jean & Pete is unbeatable. This is a well renovated home with modern facilities. Having photographed different parts of the Pyrenees over the last 3 years we found this to be an ideal location for access to the mountains. As well as beautiful countryside and views we were surprised at the abundance of wildlife around the village and surrounding area. Walks are plentiful and the pool provides cooling rest at the end of the day watching the sun set over a glass of local wine. We recently returned from our second visit and are hoping to return again soon.

Best Holiday Ever!

We had a fantastic week here at the 'grand chateau' and would highly recommend it to everyone! The house is spacious yet cosy, tastefully decorated, located at the foot of the mountains and close to the local shops in the nearby village of Maubourguet. It is also conveniently close to Super U for all our BBQ supplies. We spent most of our week relaxing by the pool, drinking local wine and enjoying the peace and quiet until our mini Olympic challenge games started..... We enjoyed a trip to the mountains, walked to the impressive and breath-taking Pont d'Espagne and soaked up the sun/ surfed at the beaches of Biarritz. The house is ideally situated for day trips but also has the serenity that we all look for in a holiday! We will definitely be coming back.

Perfect Place for a Holiday!

Absolutely stunning! House is really spacious with everything you could wish for, all rooms finished to a really high standard and the bathrooms are amazing!!! Set in a lovely area, with a large, beautiful, garden with pool which is perfect for children. The local area has lots to do, we went to the mountains and the beach for day trips but the house itself is a perfect place to relax. We will recommend to anyone, it offers a perfect base for a French holiday that I am sure everyone would enjoy! Will be back nect year!!

A relaxing retreat!

On arrival, Pete & Jean warmly welcomed us; they left us a welcome pack and gave us many tips on what to see during our stay. The house is delightful, spacious and tastefully decorated, and the gardens were gorgeous, looking over the mountains from the front and fields in the back. Sitting by the pool on a sunny day was extremely peaceful and perfect with a glass of wine from the local wineyard. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful house for a week; it was a well needed break, and I would definitely recommend 'Le Petit Chateau'!
