Disfruta de una ubicación cerca del centro de Bend para caminar fácilmente a restaurantes, tiendas y todo lo que el centro de Bend tiene para ofrecer. También está a una corta distancia a pie de los restaurantes y bares de la zona oeste.

Esta casa tiene vistas panorámicas del este de Pilot Butte y del sur de Newberry Crater, Lava Butte y más. El segundo dormitorio también tiene vistas del noreste a las montañas Ochoco en la distancia. A 15 minutos a pie del centro ya 5 minutos a pie del río en First Street Rapids Park.

River West Haven

A warm welcome from Mike and Lyn started a wonderful ten-week stay for us in their "River West" home this summer. They have created a very comfortable retreat, paying special attention to amenities that make living there a pleasure. When not out exploring Bend and central Oregon, we enjoyed relaxing inside and outside, enjoying the views and nature in the yard, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen as well as relaxing and grilling on the deck. The location of this home makes it the perfect base for easily reaching river trails, walking downtown or accessing the roads leading to the Cascades. When we had questions or needed something, Lyn and Mike responded to us immediately. Since 2013, my husband and I have made an annual trip to enjoy the rivers, mountains and high desert of central Oregon. In that time, we have not had a better vacation rental with more gracious and accommodating hosts. We do hope we'll be again staying in Mike's and Lyn's "River West" in coming years.

Lovely Home w/ great surroundings

We had a wonderful stay in this home. It was very clean and tidy with everything we needed. It also had a wild baby deer that frequented the back yard which was fun to observe. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond to questions or needs. I highly recommend staying here. One quick note: parking is a bit tricky so just take note of the driveway and make sure you are comfortable with it. I found the best way to park was to turn around in the street or a driveway and back into the parking area. It made it easy to leave.

Wonderful stay!

This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in Bend. Very modern home with great amenities. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet which was wonderful after our adventures. I highly recommend!

Location and Luxury!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years and this home, owned by Mike and Lyn, stands head and shoulders above all the others! First, the location is perfect! You are close to all the wonder of Bend while still feeling as if you are "in the woods". You will be perched on the top of a hill with an exquisite view of Pilot Butte and privacy from the homes nearby. Get up early and enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up with a warm fire in the high-end gas fireplace while listening to music on the full-house sound system (and it's easy to operate)! The appliances throughout the home are all new and high-end and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to create a wonderful meal when you don't feel like enjoying the great cuisine in Bend! We look forward to staying at this home again in the future!

Spacious, amenity filled home in amazing location!

We loved our stay at this property! It's a short walk or drive to the downtown Bend shops and restaurants. Beautiful views out the windows as this location is somewhat on a hill. Honestly the pictures of the property don't do it justice! It's very clean, spacious, and somewhat trendy on the inside! There were amenities galore such as a Roku, to go coffee cups, washer and dryer, easy parking. I have no complaints! The TV is really nice as well and has a DVD player so you can pick up some videos from the nearby last Blockbuster! The hosts were very responsive and communicated check in/out very clearly! Great neighborhood to walk around as well.

Great Location & Property

This was a fantastic place. Clean and exactly as the description described. We could walk to town or there is a pretty river close by for pretty walks. This house had everything we needed and the owners were fantastic. I will stay here again when I return to Bend. Thank you

Nice house in Bend

The property was as advertised. The owners realized we had bikes and kindly gave us access to use the sunroom to store them. The house was super clean and was complete with all necessary items for a nice vacation. Extra supplies were stocked of all the essentials which I’ve noticed isn’t always the case with rentals. The welcome gift of local bread and coffee was a nice added touch.

Wonderful Home in Bend

The West Side Hill House is a great location. It's an easy, good walk to downtown but you are far enough away to have peace and quiet.....and birdwatching and the occasional deer. We had a wonderful time. The house is very clean and well organized. The owners are helpful and very kind. Everything went efficiently and smoothly from our first contact to the day we checked out. Many thanks to the owners.

Great Winter Getaway!

This house was wonderful for a long winter weekend in Bend. The two bedroom suites are quite separate and provide plenty of privacy, and the main house is light-filled, spotless, and spacious. We enjoyed the walk into downtown several times, and the views of Pilot Butte are just lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and then some, from cookware to spices and other basics. We'd love to come back in the summer sometime to take full advantage of the deck.

Immaculate house with great access to Bend and Mountain

This is one of the best equipped, well kept rental homes we ever stayed in. Experience ‘real’ Bend and have all the stores and restaurants close. The owners who live not too far away are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Rating it 5 stars as we couldn’t find a 6th. Thank you!

Really comfortable house in Bend

Great two bed/2 bath house in Bend. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and great AC! It was hot and smoky in Bend while we were there so we did not get out as much as we had planned. Thank goodness this house was a great place to hang out when it was too smoky to go out. Did go to the Brewfest...lots of fun! We did drive everywhere as the air was too smoky to walk...we will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Bend.

Perfect house

The house was fabulous and the hosts super helpful. Dave and Lyn offered great advice for restaurants, cycling, and things to do in Bend. The house was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and in a great location to explore Bend on foot or on bike.

Great space and light

We loved staying at the West Side Hill house in Bend! Very conveniently located so close to town but at the same time you feel like you have all the privacy you would want at the top of the hill. We loved sitting on the deck having drinks and looking at the beautiful views. The house and kitchen are very nicely appointed. We had everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation in Bend.

Well-appointed house in an excellent neighborhood close to downtown

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute house! The location was perfect - just a short 15 minute walk from downtown. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is well furnished, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you could ask for. Our hosts (Mike and Lyn) were friendly and quick to respond to emails. We will definitely stay here on future visits.

Beautiful views, and everything you want in a vacation rental

We really loved this house. We went as a couple, but it is ideal for two couples, as each bedroom/bath is well separated from the other, including a separate hall for the second bedroom. The living space is large, with a nice wood-burning fireplace and large TV. The kitchen is a dream, so well-appointed. The sunrises were worth waking up for!

This house is amazing!!!

The house is very clean, the beds are comfy, it is close to downtown. The kitchen has everything you need. I would stay there again when I'm visiting Bend. Believe me you must stay in this house when visiting Bend. You will enjoy it!!!!!!

Delightful VRBO Experience

Our stay at the West Side Hill House was delightful. The house is beautiful, clean, roomy, nicely appointed, and conveniently located. We loved the floor plan, which was perfect for two couples. Two full baths make all the difference. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and lots of extras. We loved starting and ending our days on the back deck, just watching the world go by. This VRBO is a perfect "home base" for visitors to experience Bend and surrounding areas. The owners are delightful and easy-breezy to work with.

Perfect spot for a week in Bend!

The little picture on the left of the bench was our view for the week, looking out on Pilot Butte, Bend's in town peak. The house was quaint, had everything we needed. Bend gets hot in August but cools down great inthe evening, so no AC wasn't a problem for us. This little street is close to town, close to restaurants the other direction and very private and safe. We rented bikes and biked everywhere. There were deer in the backyards a few times which was fun for us! We spoke with Lyn almost every day, he was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely rent this again !

The property is lovely.

The home was so clean and extremely well stocked. We have rented many homes on VRBO and I have to say this is my favorite in every way. It is so relaxing to site outside and enjoy the view. Thank you Lyn and Mike for everything. Our stay was a 10+

Mike and Lyn moved to Bend in 2013 after falling in love with the town, proximity to the outdoors, and well, all the reasons people visit here! Mike's an avid mountain biker, as well as trail runner, plus all the other Bend activities - backpacking, road/gravel cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, etc. All the exercise may just be an excuse to eat more. Lyn is a retired musician and enjoys volunteering at our local animal shelter, and is a talented cook.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When we first saw it, it was a bit (okay, a lot) run down, but we loved that it was very walkable to downtown, but just up the hill enough to get some fantastic views. It was very much not what we were looking for, but we fell in love with it. Over the next year or two we did some renovations while living there - updated the kitchen, refinished the hardwood floors, re-configured the back bedroom a bit, new carpet in the master bedroom, and new paint pretty much everywhere. More recently we completed another round of improvements, particularly the master bath, living room, back bathroom, along with some less exciting needed under-the-hood updates.

Oddly enough, it was something of a package deal with two adjacent vacant lots; we later built on the lot to the South, where we now live. So when not renting via VRBO, we often have friends & family staying in it when visiting.

Someday we may just move back into it ourselves! During the 2020 lockdown we had a "staycation" weekend in it when not rented and were reminded how much we enjoy this house.

It's a quiet neighborhood, has some great views, and walkable to the river, downtown, and all the West Side has to offer. That combined with the extensive interior upgrades such as the modern updated kitchen with upscale new appliances makes it a great home away from home.
