Una cabaña de madera hecha a mano con un toque contemporáneo y muebles de calidad que destacan las maderas australianas. Con suelos de madera pulida y paneles de pared. Ventanas de piso a techo y tragaluces lo pone en contacto con el sol y el cielo y mira hacia el monte.

La cubierta con vistas directamente helecho-tachonada Papas Glen y la pista para caminar a Govetts salto. Aunque en un lugar arbusto de la casa también está cerca de los parques, tiendas y cafés.

Acogedor doble combustión lenta chimenea de madera cara respaldada por los calentadores de convección de gas flued. Totalmente equipado con estufa eléctrica de gas moderna, microondas, TV y DVD / VCR, WiFi gratis, equipo de música y lavadora.

La casa tiene capacidad de comedor para 8 y sillones para 7. Fuera en la terraza hay una barbacoa con asientos comedor al aire libre además de que hay un coupé de otras opciones para llevar su experiencia de casa de fin de semana en el monte.

Un segundo baño recientemente agregado ofrece una ducha con cabezal de lluvia y una vista privada de arbustos. Un tercer baño está ubicado afuera.

We loved staying at The Dell! It instantly felt like home. The design, the exposed timber, the outlook and the comfortable furnishings all made it really easy to be.You can tell the house is a loved family home, with a well stocked kitchen, great coffee machine, games, artwork and all the practical things you need.The deck looking over popes glen reserve was a highlight, perfect to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.We enjoyed the proximity to everything Blackheath has to offer, and a big shout out to the local pool, perfect for an afternoon swim. We will definitely be back next time we are in the mountains.

The awesome Dell

We had an absolutely awesome stay. This house was excellent. It had everything that we needed, was very clean and comfortable, and had a very generous supply of firewood for the heater.The bush setting is fantastic, and the proximity to walking trails was a real bonus.The communication with the owner from start to finish was the best I have ever had.I would stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone.

A quiet getaway

The house was perfect for our family of three and a friend, it has two bathrooms, the fireplace and heaters made it very warm, and the supplies were plentiful. We all enjoyed our stay in this substantial house.

Comfort and tranquility

The house was lovely, set amongst trees overlooking bush land. The dining, lounge and the main bedroom were modern and comfortable. I would stay again.

Beautiful bush cottage with wonderful verandah

Love this cottage with a beautiful bush outlook. Close to hiking tracks and short walk to the park or town. Fireplace is great too.

autumn escape

We had a ball with rocket ship park around the corner, nocturnal in Katoomba and the serene bush setting. Loved the warm fire at night and the sublime bird songs.

Home away from home

This is our second stay at The Dell because we just love the house and its layout, it’s so homely and has everything we need including the great fireplace during the winter months. We will certainly be back again. Thank you Phil and Ann for sharing the wonderful Dell.

Stunning getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Dell. The house had a great vibe, with everything we needed. Loved lighting the fire in the evening and sitting on the deck in the morning watching the birds. Beautiful outlook with a walking track and park for the kids close by. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Wildlife on your Doorstep

We enjoyed our stay at the Dell especially seeing the many varieties of birdlife from the verandah. It was comfortable for our family of 5 and we enjoyed being so close to the bush. We recommend this house for families who enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush.

Great getaway location

Great house near the bush. Owner very responsive and helpful. Plenty of birdlife visits the verandah every morning. Easy access to Blue Mountains walking tracks. Good heating available (gas and wood fire, electric blankets) which would be handy in winter when I suspect it gets a bit cold. Overall a great spot for a getaway from the hustle of Sydney.

Lovely stay in beautiful bushland setting

We had a fabulous stay at The Dell when we were in the Blue Mountains for a weekend photography workshop. We loved that the house was so quiet and peaceful, while only about a 5 minute drive to Blackheath where we found a great cafe for coffee & lunch. It was very well situated to explore the natural beauty of the area. We made the most of the wood fire to make ourselves cosy overnight. And we loved being visited by a variety of birds each morning as we were enjoying breakfasts on the back deck looking out over the bushland.

Peaceful, quiet retreat

The Dell is a lovely place to retreat to in Blackheath to get away from it all. From the lounge, dining, back bedroom and ensuite the view looks out at the lush ferns and bush of Popes Glen. The neighbourhood is quiet and serene. It is a convenient, short 3 minute drive to Blackheath shops and close to Govetts Leap. My husband wants me to add it was a 15 minute ride to all the downhill mountain bike tracks!

Very Comfortable and Relaxing.

This is a very private and comfortable house. It is very warm in the cold weather if you use the fire... and the ventilation system works well. At times the ensuite can be a challenge with that open shower. Perhaps heat lamps in the cold weather could help. Yet that's bit of a first world problem. It's a great place and we would return for a holiday. I recommend this accommodation.
