Relájate en el Lake Side Retreat

Lake Side Retreat es una cabaña hermosa y bien equipada en el lago Buckhorn. Perfectamente ubicado entre Ellijay y Blue Ridge.

Esta maravillosa casa tiene 3 niveles. Nivel principal contiene dormitorio 1, baño de visitas, cocina totalmente equipada, comedor y sala de estar con chimenea de leña. El nivel superior tiene la suite principal / baño con terraza privada y el área de loft con una cama nido. Dirígete hacia abajo por debajo del nivel principal a través de los escalones exteriores y encontrarás la habitación familiar inferior que contiene un sofá cama con una mesa de café y asientos.

1) La casa tiene 3 niveles con terrazas / patios exteriores. Esta casa requiere subir escaleras interiores, así como escalones exteriores para acceder al área de la bañera de hidromasaje y al lago.
2) Estás en un lugar boscoso natural con el potencial de interacciones con animales salvajes (ciervos, pavos, osos negros ...)

My stay was very nice. Lots of stairs to climb to get to the hot tub. Not an issue at all. Overall experience was very nice and quiet.

A-MAAAZZ-INGGGG!!!Mike was such an awesome host. The cabin is just adorable and the lake is spectacular. Easy drive to Elijay for lunch or activities. Hot tub was great, for pit was great. I caught a few bass on the lake. We will be back for sure!Thank you Mike for a wonderful weekend!

Perfectly peaceful place

This property was great! The interior was clean and well stocked with linens and cooking utensils, and the size was perfect for 4 adults (two couples); it could easily have also fit 1-2 children (assuming they were old enough to sleep in a loft space). You’re going to need to be able to do stairs to get to and around the property. The neighborhood is very chill and quiet, but it’s still only 20-30 minutes from Ellijay proper or Blue Ridge (including restaurants and grocery stores). This was a wonderful place for a quiet gathering of close friends, and we would absolutely come back to the cabin.

Favorite Place to stay in the North Georgia Mountains!!

This is our second visit to the Lake Side Retreat and it will not be our last! The cabin is located near Cherry Log which is halfway between Blue Ridge and Ellijay, which allows visitors to enjoy both cities. The cabin itself is filled with quality furnishings and has a beautiful picture window that looks over the small lake. I am able to spread out my art supplies on the large table as I plan and vision for my art and contemplation classes that I offer. Since the cabin has an upstairs, my husband can camp out upstairs and give me the space I need to work. Although the weather did not allow us the opportunity to enjoy the outside much, the cabin is well appointed with a canoe, fire pit and hot tub. A great host and wonderful location and cabin!

A Perfect Lakefront Getaway for the Whole Family (Dog included)

We had such a great time at the Lake Side Retreat. My wife, our 17-year-old son, and our golden doodle all really enjoyed it. The cabin was super cozy and had everything we needed—and more. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake, and the setting couldn’t be more peaceful.We loved spending time outside—paddling around the lake, fishing a bit, and walking the local trails. The neighbors were friendly, and it just felt like a great place to relax and unwind. The hot tub at night under the stars was a favorite for sure.Inside, everything was clean and comfortable. The smart TVs in every room were nice for movie nights, but honestly, we barely used them—we were too busy enjoying the outdoors and the calm of the area.Couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Great location between Blue Ridge and Ellijay, and an amazing home to come back to at the end of each day. We’d love to come back again sometime.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Location was quiet, yet not too remote, and the house was inviting and spacious. We enjoyed the views of the small lake and the house had everything we needed. We will definitely be visiting again in the spring when we can enjoy the canoe and fishing.

The Best Thanksgiving

We had an incredible time at this beautiful cabin. It had everything and more. The beds were comfortable, the showers had good water pressure, the heat in the spa was already on waiting for our arrival! Everything was perfect We would definitely rent this home again, it was perfect for our family.

The house was just ok, it felt old and a bit dark inside. They definitely need new living room furniture. The pillows on the couch were pretty gross. The lake outside was more of a retention pond than a lake and definitely not suitable for swimming, so that was a bit of a bummer. The host is not personable at all! Definitely made the state uncomfortable.

Peaceful Spot on the Lake

The home was exactly as described. The area down by the lake was beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The cabin is cute and well appointed. You do park across the road and up a hill. The hot tub cover is not necessarily easy to get off and on and there are a lot of steps to get down to it but that was listed in the description. You definitely should use a flashlight as not every section of the stairs is well lit at night. Also there are no lights around the hot tub and firepit areas so it’s a bit tricky in the dark. The neighborhood trails were nice and you are fifteen minutes from dining options. Cabin was clean and had most of the items you might need. I do wish you could see the tv from the couch in the main room as we wanted to watch a late night movie but we didn’t want to have to go outside and down to the lower level. Overall we had a great time!

Wonderful Trip

We had a lovely trip to Elljay. The cabin was lovely & just as described. The extras (bath wash, face wipes/toilet tissue, kitchen spices, condiments, etc) thought of by the owners were an extra bonus. Their location is a short distance to the quaint town of Elljay. The owner was super responsive. We definitely enjoyed our get away and had a chance to unwind from the stressors of life.

Perfectly Pleasant Stay

One of the best cabins we have stayed in. Mike really took care of all our needs and was an incredible host. Hospitality at its finest with amazing views. We were here for a long weekend. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The boys used the canoe and paddle board on the amazing lake easy. The family room was a perfect place for the kids to play with their toys. The hot tub was so relaxing. Everything was stocked in every room. We have a crawler and she was able to crawl around safely. This place was spotless too, another comfort for this mom and her young children. 15-20 minutes to Ellijay or Blue Ridge both with amazing places to eat or find entertainment. Thank you Mike and family for sharing your little piece of heaven. Would highly recommend and hope to book again.

Nice cabin but issues

First let me say the cabin is updated and clean. Very peaceful location. The issues are that the downstairs playroom is not accessible from inside the house. You have to walk around the outside deck. Also, the power goes out frequently. Even if there are not any storms. The owner said this is normal for mountain homes but not in my experience. We had at least three power outages everyday from 2 minutes to 3 hours. Not good when you have a 4 month old and 6 year old. The hot tub was in terrible condition when we arrived and were unable to use it the first day. Also the hot tub is down by the fire pit not under a deck so if there is bad weather you cannot use it. There was also a burner out on the grill.

Amazing property

Loved the log cabin- situated among the trees, making it feel like a tree house. Porch sitting area on all three levels was a plus. The hot tub on the lake was nice. We used the stand up paddle board and canoe daily all week. Secluded area and quiet, making our family usually the only one on the lake. Super clean and had everything we needed except food and beach towels. They had cabinets and light switches labeled- making everything easy to find. We considered this a gem! Our kids (12 & 8) love the outdoors- they wanted to stay on the lake all five days instead of rafting, kayaking, tubing, etc. The owner was quick to respond when messaged!
