This property is literally right on the lakefront of Big Bear Lake. You can not get any closer to the water. The location is set among huge boulders of an area known as Boulder Bay. The area where the house is located is very quiet.The hosts are great people, who meet you at the house upon your arrival. The home is very comfortable, from the living room to all the bedrooms. The kitchen has plenty of room for two people to work on preparing meals and has more than enough dishes and cookware to prepare meals for a crowd.Outside, there are several large deck areas to sit and enjoy the views of the lake and surrounding area.My wife uses a mobility walker and had no trouble moving throughout the house. Our only issue was the two steps, getting to the front door. One of the steps is a little higher than the other and there is no handrail to assist in getting up the steps. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, thanks in part by how welcoming the owner/hosts were, and the fantastic location

The host were very nice, even greeted us to fill out the paperwork at the locationI’ve always wanted a lakefront view in big bear and this was world class viewThe stars were amazing the pelicans and the ducks were amazing and the sunset was amazingThat being said, there hasn’t been an improvement in the place in probably 50 or 60 years;If you’ll settle for an amazing lakefront view this yourPlace

Thank you very much for the review. Glad you appreciated the scenic view and surroundings. Just one small note, the house was built in 1996 (not 50 or 60 years ago). We purchased the house in 2009. Since that time, we’ve invested over 100K in improvements, including an additional deck, a dock, new siding, and upgrading all the furniture and carpeting (sometimes more than once). Offhand, the only things I can recall that came with the original house that have not been improved are the bathroom fixtures as well as the kitchen sink and countertop.

Linda and Norm were the sweetest hosts. Brought us flowers and wine and had great local recommendations. The hot tub was wonderfully hot and looks out on the lake. We had many lovely evening sunsets and watched the moon reflect off the lake. So peaceful. Would 100% recommend

Wonderful Big Bear getaway

This was our 2nd year staying at this property. The views of the lake from the cabin cannot be beat. We love the quiet location, and it’s just a short walk to Boulder Beach. The owners Linda and Norman are so thoughtful and the cabin has everything we need for a great vacation. We cannot wait to come again.
