This was our second stay at Rob and Julie's home and it won't be our last. We come back for the fantastic views, wonderful hosts, cozy home with the wood burning fireplace and great location. Whether you are looking for challenging hikes, waterfalls or quick leg stretchers, you can find them near by. We hate to leave!

Beautiful views

This home is spectacular located with gorgeous views of the mountains and the icing on the cake it also includes beautiful views of the lake. The home is set up for relaxing on the back porch, everything that you need is provided within the house. Close to Helen Georgia and within a hour to Cherokee Indian Reservation and lots of waterfalls. We enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it to all. Thanks

Absolutely Wonderful!

I, my wife, children, and parents stayed over for Thanksgiving, and absolutely loved the cabin! There was great communication with the owners, the cabin was clean, and exactly as described. We felt comfortable and cozy, and greatly enjoyed ourselves!

Beautiful home on top of mountain with awesome views!

We were fortunate to have our stay in this beautiful home at the peak of fall foliage. The home was exactly as advertised. It was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed having our first fire of the season with the firewood that was provided. The views were breathtaking! When the fog covered, it felt like Heaven. We could not have asked for a better Hostess. Julie was in contact several times to make sure everything was good and we were enjoying ourselves. She even called after we returned home to make sure we had safe travels. We will definitely remember this home for another trip to the mountains.

Beautiful water and mtn views..very nice neighborhood of mtn homes..listing was very accurate on all counts..property owners are excellent communicators. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend to those who enjoy the Hayesville/Hiawassee area .

Mountain Getaway

My wife and I just needed a mountain getaway from the heat. This place was as advertised. Julie was a perfect host. The cool nights were a welcome treat in August. The view of the lake was magnificent. We will be back!

Sooooo Relaxing!!!

When you begin going up the mountain and start glancing at the majestical view of the Lake Chatuge surrounded by mountains suddenly all your stress and worries dissipate by the AWESOMENESS of God's creation. The house provides you with all you need to have a very comfortable and stress free time in absence of bugs....this house had absolutely no bugs at all inside, it was great! The sunsets are fiery red and if you get up early, you will see the reflection of an amazing sunrise, all from your deck. You will be greeted by the music of bird songs every time you step foot on the deck. It is a beautiful place that we recommend without any reservation. The communication with the owners was also outstanding.

Fantastic Experience

The property was in a fantastic location. The house was clean and filled with all the luxuries one would want when staying in the mountains with -10 degree weather. Julie was great at communicating. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing view and amazing hosts

The view is amazing the drive to the location was great with paved roads. Hosts were amazing with communication before and during stay. The area is in close proximity to amazing places and activities. We all had an amazing time. I was able to cook for the family everyday. The kitchen was equipped with all that I needed. Totally recommend this cabin.

Amazing view

We spent 10 nights Rob and Julie's cabin. The view was stunning and way better than the photos in the property description! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was great with easy access to both Hiawassee and Haysville. We enjoyed the hikes at nearby falls, antique shops and chartered a fishing trip on Lake Chatuge. Great getaway! We will be back.

Wonderful getaway from responsibilities

Instead of our original four, we had three women who shared a relaxing weekend. We all needed some “chill” time, and this cabin provided that—in spades. The stunning views of the lake, the comfortable cabin with all the amenities we needed, and the quiet natural surroundings gave us everything we had hoped for. Julie is a thoughtful, generous host who goes out of her way to make check in and check out easy. Simply the best!!

An amazing October in the mountains

Such an awesome cabin with a terrific view of the lake and mountains. Cabin had everything we needed for a month. Love the location for golfing, hiking and pickle ball. Enjoyed feeding the many Birds in the area. Plenty of Firewood provided. All the neighbors we meet were friendly and already in contact with them for next fall. Host was always easy to reach .

Great cabin with unbelievable view

We spent a month at Eagles view and had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything you could need and was located in a safe beautiful area. The hosts were very responsive and the place was well appointed and clean. Location was on the Georgia/ North Carolina border near good hiking trails, two Ingles supermarkets and very close to Lake Chatuge. Day trips to the Highlands, Blue Ridge, Young Harris, Helen, etc were all fun getaways 1 to 2 hours away. Thank you Julie and Rob- we look forward to coming back!

Awesome!!!

What a great experience. This place was spectacular. Even though it rained all weekend we had the most perfect place to bunker down and spend family time. The view out the back porch is breathtaking. Everything was absolutely perfect.

I appreciate how quickly you communicated when the water went out...it was good to have a few waters in refridgerator..good supply of basic neeeds..good view of lake.some improvements could be made with more comfortable seating on porch and bed..thanks

Trip to Eagles View

Rob and Julie were excellent to deal with. House is beautiful with fantastic view of Lake Chatuge and mountains. Very peaceful and relaxing. Their place is close to a lot of things to do and see. Definitely want to return visit. Great trip!

My wife Julie and I live in South Florida, Prior to law school at U of Florida, i attended Western Carolina University and fell in love with the area. After many vacations in the mountains this was the perfect location for our second home. We visit the cabin whenever we can and love sharing this beautiful spot on VRBO.
We have a blended family of 6 adult children and 5 fantastic grand children.

After a 15 year search, I came across this mountain treasure and instantly felt at home. I named the cabin "Eagles' Wings" based on the verse Isaiah 40:31 which says, "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." I hope you enjoy your stay here at "Eagles' Wings" and will be renewed by the quiet beauty that surrounds you.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Depending on what time of day and the weather, this spectacular view changes minute by minute from a beautiful rising morning mist over the lake, to large puffy clouds making shadows over the mountain side, to the sun setting in the west casting shades of pink, blue, purple and yellow. It truly is a sight to behold.
