Cabaña peculiar situada en el pueblo de Ohau. Una maravillosa zona frontal para disfrutar del sol y una gran terraza protegida en la parte trasera de la casa con vistas alpinas y al lago. Bien equipado con todo lo que necesita para pasar unas divertidas vacaciones alpinas / lacustres. Totalmente decorado para una estancia relajante en el magnífico paisaje de la cuenca de Ohau y Mckenzie. Más fotos estarán disponibles para la primera semana de diciembre. Acabo de comprar la propiedad. He tenido alquileres de vacaciones durante más de 10 años y esta nueva almohadilla de Ohau será la mejor :) Se admiten mascotas, ya que creemos que deberías poder llevar a tus bebés de piel en tus vacaciones. A 5 minutos a pie del lago Ohau o del lago Middelton. Cocina bien equipada. Barbacoa y muebles de exterior.

The most amazing stay

Thank you Clare for sharing your beautiful home with us. This trip was a birthday present for my husband, he wanted to stay somewhere surrounded by nature and mountains and your home was absolutely perfect for us. We really enjoyed exploring the walks around the lake and coming back to relax with a cuppa by the fireplace. Everything was just perfect! Thank you again for having us, we will definitely be back for more :)

New year get away

Great location for us as we had a boat and Kayaks and could do some fishing, locely comfortable beds and bedding, got to use the fireplace which was lovely and the view from the balcony was stunning

Long weekend away

Great mid winter break

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Claire's lovely house. It was perfect for us to take a break, relax and enjoy being in the mountains. We couldn't have asked for more - Claire was great in welcoming us and her home has everything one could need, is tasteful and really comfy. We wished we were snowed in so we could stay even longer. Immaculate well-equiped house in a peaceful location

Beautiful house: modern, warm, clean, comfortable beds and a well-equiped kitchen. As older people, we would have liked a reading lamp or brighter light in the living room to be able to read more easily at night but that is our only criticism: this is one of the best houses we've stayed in. If you are not familiar with NZ, the main things to do at Ohau itself are skiing and fishing but there are many attractions and activities within easy driving distance.

Lovely house in beautiful location

The house is clean, tidy and very comfortable. Everything you need for a home away from home is provided. We love this area with lots of dog walks, tramping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. The house is ideal after a busy day, nice hot shower, well equipped kitchen, large deck with great views and comfy beds. Thank you.

A very relaxing stay with our dogs

We have enjoyed a very relaxing stay at this well equiped property. Beautiful view from the deck. Shame that it poured down on the first couple of days or else we would spend much more time out on the deck.... with a glass of wine. Last but not least, it was great being able to have a holiday with our dogs in a nice place.

April Break

Had the most wonderful stay, with all weather conditions and it was stunning. Best time spent with family. Stunning accommodation with all the facilities and little touches that make it extra special. Watching the stars in the spa pool was magical.

I have been managing holiday rentals for over 12 years. At the moment I look after a holiday rental in Christchurch and Kaikoura along with my own property at the lake. I live in Christchurch but I have caretakers who help look after the remote properties. I love the ability to offer a place for families and their pets to enjoy their holidays. It’s so much fun to read the visitors books and also liaise with visitors to our beautiful country who I sometimes get to meet.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I have had property in this area for 11 years. My last house at the lake was in need of a lot of maintenance which I couldn’t handle on my own so I decided to sell mid 2019. It didn’t take long to realise how much I missed the lake and the lovely Ohau community and so when I saw this perfect little cottage with a lovely out look I instantly knew it was the right thing to do. I have only had the cottage for a week at writing this but it already feels so homely and we are enjoying the marvellous views from every window the privacy, the sun shine and the shelter.

A truly wonderful part of New Zealand to enjoy the outdoors. The house has a different view from each window be it mountains or lake, along with the ever changing sky and the amazing star gazing at night.
