Property was just as pictured. Very private, up a long dirt road (would recommend 4 wheel drive). The managers were great - provided fast response to all questions.

Have you ever wanted to simply run away?

This is the place. I will say I found the road a little intimidating the first ride through however it proved to be part of the charm. Total tranquility in what felt like the heart of the rain forest. All the amenities yet you feel totally unplugged from the usual stressed of life. Brian was extremely helpful when needed yet you had your complete privacy to indulge in a book, swim, sunbath or even some home cooking in the evening with a cold beer. You are approx 25 minutes from the night life of Manual Antonio. For peace of mind be sure to have at least a small SUV

Private jungle location and close to activities

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of February, 2019. Brian and Anne-Lill were great hosts. To begin with we arrived later than expected (9:30 PM) due to some challenges in getting to Costa Rica compliments of our friends over at Air Canada. Notwithstanding, Brian was happy to meet us at that time to escort us to the property and help us get settled in. The instructions provided by Anne-Lill on how to find the property were very clear so no problems on figuring that part out but do choose a 4X4....you may or may not need it to get to this property but you will definitely be on some roads where you will need it. The unit was as advertised, modern, clean, all the amenities you need and the pool was the perfect way to end our days of adventure and begin happy hour on those hot afternoons. We had never stayed in the jungle before and were amazed at how "alive" the jungle becomes at night....many interesting new and unusual sounds. Brian was very helpful in responding very quickly to any questions we had and he had some great suggestions on local places to visit and dine. If you choose to stay here, you won't be disappointed, overall the experience was excellent.

Cute little place but very far from everything.

We stayed for 4 nights - it's very remote and there's nothing else around when you get there. 30 minutes to the store or town. Pool is nice, although because of the setting (trees, etc.) there was quite a bit of dirt in the bottom. And you can't really get out of the pool unless you're going straight back into the house because there are (big, medium and tiny!) ants everywhere. But one of the days we were in the pool, we saw monkeys in the trees above, which was pretty amazing! If you like to cook, bring your own knives (or at least one decent knife) because the kitchen equipment was lacking. And be careful in the shower! The water pressure/showerhead nozzle isn't great and the water changes from very cold to scalding hot on its own throughout your shower. Oh, and the power went out 2 - 3 times/day and the water runs off of a pump, so when you are in the shower and the power goes out, the water stops. All in all, it's a cute little house in the middle of the jungle with a few drawbacks. But a decent deal for the price!

Exceeded our expectations

This house is perfect for a couple. Brian was very helpful and set up parasailing for us. We saw monkeys, toucans and coatis while lounging by the pool. The house was a perfect size and had everything we needed. It was clean and it was lovely sitting outside having breakfast. We recommend the restaurant “Cuba Libre” in the marina at Quepos.

Just what we needed!

My Husband and I had been wanting to take this trip for so long so when faced with the possibility of having to cancel due to the Covid-19, I was so disappointed and weighed out options almost up until the moment we left. So With all things considered we decided to go and we were so happy we did. So much we didn’t want to leave! Brian and Diego were amazing and Brian was able to arrange a personal Vacation Buggy we wanted to go on despite a lot of the attractions be shut down due to the Virus restrictions. And to be honest we were happy to hang back at this private villa a lot of the other times, as the pool was Perfect to cool off and exactly what we needed. Did I mention we didn’t want to leave? We will definitely be back and will be looking forward to staying here again!

Pool and wildlife

We stayed 3 weeks, so spent a lot of time at the house and in the pool. Pool was great and perfect temperature! We cooked at the house a bit and found that for the most part, there was sufficient cookware. Also the complimentary popcorn and coffee were a nice touch. We saw squirrel monkeys go through the trees by the house 4 mornings while there. Also saw toucans a couple times. All in all a really nice stay!

So wonderful this place, home away from home. So attentive to what you need, the house was fully equipped, we didn’t have to ask for anything. The pool was heavenly, your own private pool, punch me ! Great hosts, so helpful , you couldn’t ask for more !

Best Vacation Ever

My husband I were amazed and so pleased the house we rented was exactly what we were looking for...seclusion, privacy and the jungle. It was so nice waking up to the monkeys and Toucans and the Iguana that lives in the tree by the house. I was in jungle heaven . Brian was so helpful and did a great job taking care of us. I booked again the same house for November as soon as we got home.

Lovely

Overall we had a lovely stay at this property, once we got over the surprise of the access road. I would definitely recommend a 4x4, especially if the weather is wet. Both Brian and Anne-Lill were available to answer any questions or deal with any concerns we had. We would definitely return.

Little piece of paradise

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Bed is comfy, kitchen has the essentials and the pool is very relaxing. If you are looking for a secluded paradise, this may be it. We saw toucans, monkeys, beautiful butterflies and a coati. Anne was wonderful. We lost power the first night and contacted her in the morning. about not having power. She brought us some coffee to start our morning. When we arrived back after a day of adventure, the electricity was back on. Overall a wonderful stay!

Awesome rainforest vacation getaway

Adventure from beginning to end. Anne-Lill, Mr Odd and Brian were all great and very helpful . The property was beautiful; the plants, flowers and animals were amazing. The house had everything you needed. Definitely, you will need 4 wheel drive because its off the beaten path. Every day the white face monkeys came through the trees in the backyard, toucans, iguanas .... There are many tours available but I would highly recommend the Buggy Adventure with Luis, he is the best tour guide ever! Brian will be able to arrange any tours you might like.

This is a great house! Beautiful pool in the back and wildlife all around. The house is off the ground and has a King Bed in the bedroom and a comfortable Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room. Comfort, Full kitchen with all the necessities for cooking and baking, Air Conditioning and WiFi!
