5 Bedroom, 4 Full Baths, large and fantastic family vacation home for multiple families/large groups of all ages-- right on Sacandaga Lake - no roads to cross! Spectacular views of the lake and the beautiful surrounding mountains. Great for swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, water sports, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, and easy access to all of the Adirondacks to enjoy! Less than 3 minutes to the beautiful Lake Pleasant Golf Course. For winter fun, great access to over 750 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, less than 10 minutes to Oak Mountain skiing and tubing and less than 45 minutes to Gore Mountain. Just 7 minutes to the town of Speculator for easy access to groceries, restaurants, ice cream shops, and other shopping establishments. Centrally located in the Adirondacks and easily accessed from throughout the Northeast. Great fun for all ages!

The home is very spacious with beautiful lake views from every single room! Large deck overlooking the lake is great for relaxing and outdoor dining. Gas grill available for outdoor cooking.

All bath linens, bed linens and beach towels included. Two kayaks and stand up paddle boards also included for your use. Pontoon and other boat rentals available nearby. Outdoor fireplace overlooking the lake is lots of fun for s'mores and lakeside evening stories under the stars!

The property was beautiful! The massive windows overlooking the lake was extradinary. The home had everything you would need or want. The younger adults kayakedduring a beautiful autumn afternoon. The house was clean and all I can say is it was perfect for the older adults, younger adults and children. Another perfect Columbus Day weekend.

Serene lake setting

Our family (coming from three surrounding states) gathered for a 5 day family reunion and had a wonderful stay. The house has sweeping lake views from every room and simply relaxing on the deck made for perfect family time. The large dining table was the perfect place for playing our favorite Ticket to Ride game. In spite of on/off rain showers every day (can’t control the weather) we were still able to get out on the lake using both the kayaks and paddle boards provided and enjoyed discovering the beauty of the area. The black Labrador in our group enjoyed his twice daily swims using the easy access stairs to the lake. The outdoor fireplace worked well for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows on our one rain free evening and we enjoyed eating outside at the large picnic table. We ordered pizza our first night from Firetower Pizza (the Hilly Dilly was delicious; highly recommend). Charlie Johns store was bigger than we expected and had a good selection of everything we needed (fresh meats, deli, dairy, produce, etc) all at reasonable prices. A pleasant 35 minute drive down to Northville provided fun gift shops to look through.

Great home ! Great Spot !

We were there this past weekend for a wedding at oak mountain and wow it was perfect all around . The people at oak mountain were superb . The bars and restaurants could have been a little more friendly considering there were 150 people there from out of town spending money all weekend long . Pretty much felt like they weren’t to happy such a big party was going on that weekend . Food was great at oak mountain . Food was good at the pub !

Great Getaway

This was a perfect place to unplug and relax. Location right on the water provides great views and sounds of the lake, night and day. The lake provides recreation and refreshment.

Beautiful Lake House

Our family of 10 adults stayed for a week in early July and had a great time at this gem of a lake. The home was clean and comfortable and all communications with the owners were helpful and accurate. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and boating on the lake.

November break

Beautiful house on the lake! Fantastic time and very friendly owners. We had 10 family members plus our dogs and were looking to get away for a few days to fish, hike and relax. Auger Falls hike was really amazing! Hiking along the rushing river with massive flowing water over huge bolders…can’t wait to make it back there. Kayaking for the kids was fun and sitting around the enormous outdoor fireplace was ideal! Cheers to the owners!

Beautiful view of Sacanadaga Lake

House has a spectacular view of Sacandaga Lake from the living room, dining room, kitchen all five bedrooms. We visited in October and the colors on the lake were perfect. The house was very clean with very strong wifi. There are two huge closets of towels and a big washer/dryer. We brought a lot of food and there is a very large walk-in pantry for storage. The owners are super responsive. Initially we couldn't find the two big closets of towels (!), but they responded by text immediately. They also answered all our questions about the kitchen before we arrived. We used both kayaks and paddle boards which was very fun. Easy access to the lake with a nice dock. There is also an enormous outside fireplace with firewood. We used the grill several times. The property was fully equipped. Our party included several over ninety years old, which is pretty unusual. The spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms was gorgeous, but not practical for them. The pretty flagstone patio to the front door was uneven footing. These are both issues that are completely dependent on who is in your group. The house is probably 5 minutes from Speculator and Charlie Johns grocery and Department stores. The property feels very private but is conveniently located. We had a great time and were very happy with the house. And we definitely want to come back and visit this area again!

Lovely Lakefront Lookout!

We had a great week in this lovely spacious lakeside retreat. Beautiful lake with water and mountain views from every room. Simply fantastic. We were welcomed with a note from our hosts, Shawn and Nicole, along with a breakfast treat! There was a binder filled with all kinds of interesting and helpful information. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the call of the loons and had several sightings of them. We had a concern about an electric outlet, and called Shawn, he had an electrician on the premises within the hour! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and highly recommend this property.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Overall we were thrilled with this property. Stunning vistas from almost every room, creatively built and organized. We were welcomed with everything needed for an enjoyable stay including firewood, a thoughtful welcome note, pancake mix and local maple syrup, life jackets for every size,. Initially upon arrival we were overwhelmed with a strong smell of cat, but we soon were able to air out the home with great window screens and ceiling fans. Our kids of all ages loved kayaking, fishing, swimming, and toasting marshmallows. Beautifully landscaped and comfortable furnishings and beds. Hosts were very responsive.

Beautiful Location along the lake

Our family of 8 plus goldendoodle enjoyed our week at this lakefront home. The house was clean and spacious for us all. The kitchen had all the necessities needed and internet was good. The lake view from all rooms was awesome at anytime of day. There was plenty for us to do during our week stay. We enjoyed using the paddle boards & kayaks provided and we brought a boat and canoe along. We love to hike and there are many trails to choose from. They had pamplets & books at the house to help us decide where to go. Our family enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to others.

WOW!

We had an amazing time at this gorgeous home. It was super clean, conveniently located and the views were unbeatable. We appreciated all of the little things that made this so convenient for our group of families, and all linens and towels were included. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals. The bedding was very comfortable. A fun family vacation and we will be back! Shawn and Nicole were a pleasure to work with.

Perfect Location & Lots of Fun

This was a great find! Our family had plenty of space. Nice bedroom and bathroom layout, and very clean and comfortable. The views are really amazing from all over the house. Such a peaceful and relaxing spot. We found lots to do in the area and had just as much fun relaxing lakeside at the house, even with the snow!

GREAT family getaway!

Our group of two families ranging in age from 2 to 80 had a wonderful time at this beautiful home on Sacandaga Lake! The views of the lake and mountains are absolutely spectacular, the pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget you could need, bedrooms (all with huge windows looking over the lake) and bathrooms were layed out well to accomodate our multi family group, bedding was comfortable and the house was kept very clean and it is spacious. The kids had so much fun making a fire in the outdoor fireplace overlooking the lake. The stars are breathtaking. Grocery store and several restaurants very close by - we didn't have enough time to explore it all. We cant wait to visit in the summer to go swimming in the lake! Thanks so much Shawn and Nicole for such a wonderful trip.
