The cabin was a really nice getaway for our family. It was very clean and well maintained. We had no disturbances whatsoever. The only visitors were the deer in the yard. If your near this area, be sure to book this cabin.

Great Cabin w/ Everything we needed

Very clean well-maintained cabin and property! This was our 2nd week staying for out of town work trip. Great owners that accommodated an early check-in since we were passing thru town on our way to work. Checked on us when a big storm went thru nearby to make sure we were OK. Lots of activities to do outside, if we weren't at work, lol. Staying here again next week!

Fall Trip

Owner sent a great packet of information via email several days before arrive. Detailed with check in/out info and additional property information. Everything was as we expected. Would definitely stay here again. We liked not having wifi or great cellular service (which was told prior to booking). Gave our family the opportunity to visit and play games.

Hunting trip

This is the second year I have booked this property for our yearly Missouri hunting trip. This place is amazing! It’s filled with everything you need just as you were at home we needed nothing. They brought us firewood to make a fire. You can sit around the fire pit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Love this place so beautiful and convenient

Great country home

This turned out to be the perfect country home we were looking for! We were able to enjoy nature without any noise or distractions. The pond was great and we caught multiple bass with plastic worms. We will definitely return for another relaxing, remote, and enjoyable weekend getaway. If you are looking for a private home in a quiet country setting, this is the place for you. Everything was clean, updated, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Quiet Paradise

Me, my parents, and my boyfriend came here to celebrate birthdays and also Father’s Day. It was perfect! It was super clean and very spacious. My dad was able to fish every day, I laid out in the sun and read a book, my mom did puzzles inside, and my boyfriend was able to read inside on the comfy couch. The space is perfect! We definitely recommend. The location is far enough from people from your close to a Walmart that is 15 minutes away. If you need to get away and from everything that goes on, this is the place to go.

We stayed at the cabin for 5 days and had a very nice stay. Check-in was very simple, which was good since we arrived well after dark. It's very quiet and located on a farm with a nice pond in the back and cows in the area. It was very clean and well-stocked. Lot's of extra towels and bed linens, which was nice. The kitchen was well-stocked, too, and had new appliances, although a few of the pans could use replacing. The beds were very comfortable, the large couch was, too, and the air conditioning worked very well during the hot weather. The fire pit in back was a great touch, although it was a bit hard to get it started. Some kindling and split logs would have been nice but I found ample sticks in the woods.The only thing that might improve the stay was having reading lamps in the master bedroom, as well as a few bureaus to put away clothes. It's a big room, so there is plenty of space. Also, there were a fair number of wasps flying around the front porch. They didn't bother us but for those who are allergic, it might be a problem.

Thank you for the 5-star review! We appreciated your observations. We did just purchase a new set of pans but failed to remove the older ones. Unlike a lot of other short-term rentals, we provide free firewood for each stay but find it difficult to always provide kindling, so we are happy to know you were able to source ample sticks in the back. In the master we have chosen an open concept, providing large drawers in the ensuite and shelving in the closet for clothing rather than bulky bureaus, but a lamp would be a nice addition, and we will look at that. The natural state of our property, coupled with our fishing pond and the summer's heat may attract mud daubers, albeit nuisances they rarely sting, and to our knowledge never here on the ranch. You may have noticed our trapsticks in the rafters of our porches, as well as contact spray in the utility room. Of course, when enjoying any outdoor areas, we encourage those suffering from allergies to prepare for their individual needs.

Charming Cabin Near Nevada, MO

This is a nice, clean, and comfortable cabin in the country. Everything was as described, plus bonus things that just made you feel welcome. My kids loved playing in the gated yard, and we appreciated have a nice place to visit. The kitchen was well stocked with ample dishes and utensils. Bathrooms were well done. The campfire was delightful. More recreation gear in the shed. We look forward to fishing another time. Okay DVD selection. During our stay, they had a couple of Disney movies, but you might want to bring more of your own selection for your kids. We had our USB stick able to plug into the smart tv, so that was handy. Only saw one of the owners on the way out, and she was very pleasant. I can see why this VRBO has great ratings! We'd love to stay again.

Such a serene property!

The owners have put a lot of time and effort into this beautiful property! Every detail is perfect! The yard and surrounding areas were perfectly manicured, which we know takes a lot of time and effort! We choose this cabin for the space, pond and location. It wasn't too far from home but enough to get away. We had 2 family's- 4 adults and 4 children (16, 13, 12, 9). Despite the weather not cooperating we still had a great time exploring the surrounding field and timber. We didn't get a chance to explore the creek or utilize the boat because of the rain. We used the fire pit and fished our hearts out! The pond turtles were pretty spry chasing my bobber every time I cast out! We didn't catch any large fish but we still caught many small blue gill and bass! We had the best luck with worms- they We got at orschlins. We will definitely come stay again!

Relaxing stay

We traveled here for College track in Pittsburg, KS. I can’t say enough about this place. Due to the wet season Laura gave us great directions to get to the property. Immediately upon arrival you fall in love. Cozy cabin with plenty of room. Updated living, love the decor. Felt like a get away. We never did get to enjoy the pond or the fire pit as most of the day we spent at the meet. Used the charcoal grill, which worked awesome. Everything was clean. Loved the beds. A little noisy getting in bed upstairs if u trying to stay quiet. The property is definitely out of the way but well worth it. Be a hunters dream. Looks like good property to hurt. I can’t say we will come back for anything other than for track in Pittsburg. 6.5 hour drive for us. But if we do I will definitely snag it again. Price was very fair. Keep the price there and you will continue to get newcomers. For me it was 5 stars. The only reason u could give it less would be no WiFi. But we on vacation and didn’t care we didn’t have it. Some people may complain about it. Enjoy the property and stay off your phone and away from the TV if you can.

Didn’t want to leave!

The cabin is picturesque in a calm, country setting. The owners had lots of indoor and outdoor activities, which my kids loved. In fact, my technology-loving teen daughter spent the day fishing and the nights catching fireflies and watching family movies. The owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We look forward to returning next year!
