Beachfront Cottage

Loved this quaint little place right on the beach. Enjoyed waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Lots of wineries very close by. Would stay here again!

It was very wellcoming and cozy.All modern appliances, roomy bathroom, everything we needed ewas there.Listening to the waves , beautiful sunrise, it made our stay one of the best.Highly recommended, but leave some dates for us.

Great stay, beautiful home.

Such a gorgeous little home right on the beach. A mix of modern with quirky antiques and artwork throughout the house. Super comfortable bed, everything was incredibly clean and cosy. The weather wasn’t great for our stay but we enjoyed the home and went to a local vineyard nearby. A perfect relaxing stay for a few nights. Thanks Elizabeth 5*

Dreamy bach

Loved this property. It was dreamy. Wonderfully decorated and comfortable with everything needed, plus more. There was tea, coffee and cooking condiments and cherry tomatoes on the garden. The bed was excellent and comfy. The host was lovely. Highly recommend.

Cute and quirky cottage

Such an amazing little cottage with everything you need. The sound of the waves crashing was so good. So much to admire inside the house. Modern bathroom and kitchen, comfortable bed with nice linen. A great courtyard and a fire pit. Off street parking. Supermarket, coffee, bar and fish and chips across the road. Highly recommended.

Enjoyably Different by the Ocean

Previous reviews of this cottage are accurate! It is chock full of miscellaneous knickknacks, giving it a quirky yet comfortable feel. More importantly it is clean and has everything needed for a pleasant stay, including many provisions. Having the small but well stocked supermarket nearby is a bonus. Communications with Elizabeth were pleasant and quick. We’d be happy to return if we pass this way again!

eclectic seaside bach on ocean front

something a little different, an eclectic mix of retro, asian, antiques, with a twist of an old kiwiana sea side bach, all set right on the ocean walking distance to 2 good wineries, Clearview and Elaphant Hill...great place to get away for a couple, felt very private.

Best Beach house

We are two seniors that stayed at this beachfront property in late February, 2024. This is one of the best, if not THE best, VRBO properties that we have stayed at. Everything was spotless; the description on the website was spot-on; we loved the sounds of the waves, especially at night. And the artistic flair inside the property was wonderful. We give this property more than a 5 star rating.

Down by the seaside

Had a lovely stay at this property. Great place to watch the stars and listen to the surf. All very clean and presentable. Quite quirky...but we like that! A shop/bar and coffee shop very close for essentials. The hostess was quick to answer any communications.

Wonderful place…

Loved our stay in this very special place with the views and sounds of the sea so spectacular at all different times of the day. We really enjoyed meeting Elizabeth the host and she was very welcoming and engaging about the story of the house and surroundings. She could not have done more in helping us plan and enjoy our stay during our time there. Would love to base ourselves there again.

Private and ever changing view of the sea.

Very rugged coastline with accommodation very interesting with array of quirky art pieces. Very comfortable with all you need. Great cycle tracks on your doorstep and a number of close wineries.

Great location for a cool and interesting bach

Loved the decor and quirkiness of the place and excellent location (recommend the fish at the takeaway across the road). Weather was a bit windy, so couldn't take full advantage of the outside areas or walks along the beach. But would be keen to stay again in the future. Very helpful host and would highly recommend.

Just Wow

What a gorgeous place to have found. From the minute we walked through the gate and saw the immaculate view and stone wall, cactuses and stunning little deck we instantly thought "we are never leaving!". Then to go inside and peer around at all the fascinating trinkets and comfy, colourful cushions and bed, functional kitchen and huge bathroom was the icing on the cake. I only wish we had more time. I need about a week there just to embrace the calming, homely vibes this lovely place has in spades. Thank you to Nicki whom I met when checking out a little later than was allowed (shhhh, don't tell Elizabeth). Elizabeth, your home is a true credit to you and I want to thank you so much for letting us stay. It is a very spiritual, healing place and I loved it so much. I'll be in touch about coming to spend a week there by myself when it's next possible.

I couldn't believe it when I walked in. Stunning and a perfect getaway. The water is at your doorstep and if you need anything it's just across the road. Perfect place. Loved it. Will be back.
