Blue Salt es una casa recientemente renovada de 5 dormitorios ubicada en las laderas de Pittwater, a solo 5 minutos a pie de Whale Beach y a poca distancia en auto de Palm Beach. Esta casa familiar inspirada en Hampton / costa equilibra las comodidades contemporáneas con un ambiente relajado de playa. Blue Salt es un paraíso escondido que ofrece mucha privacidad a solo 300 metros de las costas de Pittwater y 500 metros de las olas en Whale Beach. Con capacidad para 14 personas con un máximo de 10 adultos. La casa está situada en el centro de la propiedad con un nuevo paseo marítimo cubierto que atraviesa los árboles. Hay 3 espacios para autos en el estacionamiento y estacionamiento en la calle. Los huéspedes pueden registrarse a través de un teclado o teléfono inteligente, con un pin que se enviará antes del registro.
Los huéspedes ingresan a la casa del nivel derramado a través de la puerta principal a través de una terraza, que tiene una ducha al aire libre en la entrada para que los huéspedes puedan lavar toda la arena antes de ingresar a la casa. En este nivel tenemos una habitación queen a la izquierda de la entrada y en el largo pasillo tenemos el baño principal, la habitación doble y al final está la sala de literas con TV. Medio piso más abajo hay una cocina abierta con banco de isla y todas las comodidades del hogar, además del altavoz Sonos. Las ventanas plegables se abren a la barra de desayuno y al salón con fácil acceso a la barbacoa. Junto a la cocina está el comedor, con una mesa de comedor de madera con capacidad para 12. Este fabuloso espacio de comedor se abre con puertas plegables a la cubierta orientada al noroeste equipada con una mesa de comedor al aire libre, una sala de sol, área de descanso con barra de desayuno con taburetes y barbacoa de 5 quemadores Ziegler & Brown.
Fuera de la cocina está la lavandería con lavadora y secadora grandes, además de un lavabo para mayordomos, ducha e inodoro.
Blue Salt se ha creado después de una renovación transformadora con mucho tiempo y amor para darle una sensación cálida y acogedora. ACCESO INVITADO
Se accede a la casa a través de la cochera de Surf Road por un camino de nueva construcción con un pasamanos de la duración del camino. El camino desciende a través de los árboles con plataformas de descanso en el camino para dejar el equipaje o disfrutar de los hermosos alrededores.
Los huéspedes tienen acceso a toda la propiedad entre la casa y Surf Road, además de todas las cubiertas.

El bloque alberga dos casas con la casa principal de Blue Salt y la casa de campo que es una casa de piedra original de 1947. Family weekend getaway
An Extremely comfortable house with plenty of space. Generous provisions throughout. The owners have thought of everything to ensure guests “feel at home”. This beautiful home boasts amazing views. We had lots of space for our group of 12 to spread out and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent communication from the owner with prompt responses to any questions made our experience even better. Beware hidden cameras and a very rude landlord!
We hired this property as a family home with our six kids to stay in during our wedding weekend. Our stay was thoroughly unenjoyable for many reasons.
Firstly, do not stay here unless you are prepared to have the owner remotely watch and listen to you with multiple cameras around the property.
The owner/manager Rebecca admitted to us that she had been watching and listening to us via the security cameras, without our consent! Which I’m reasonably sure is illegal.
She messaged and phoned us multiple times on the Sunday morning after our wedding, and screamed abuse at us about one of the neighbours making a noise complaint, and that we had left the exterior lights off after 10pm. I apologised for any disruptions and suggested that noise complaints are normally dealt with via the police - whom I would have been more than happy to talk to - instead of being screamed at by the landlord.
We had eight friends over for a quiet drink after our wedding, we did not have any dancing or any kind of party. Yes the back doors were open because the house has no A/C and was so hot!
We had kids asleep in the next room, so the noise was no too loud.
Unbelievably, she insisted that I knock on the neighbours door to apologise and give him a case of beer.
Other issues: the 80 step down to the house that made access in and out extremely difficult, and our elderly parents were not able to visit.
There is NO air conditioning, making the small stuffy kids rooms very uncomfortable. The water pressure was not amazing, the traffic noise was very loud and the cleaning fee is outrageous, especially considering she expects the guest to clean up, empty the dishwasher and take all of the rubbish up the 80 steps!!!
There were at least ten signs/notes scattered in various locations around the house with lists of her rules and regulations.
Based on her response to other reviews, I’m assuming that she will have a rant after we post this. We are currently considering whether to report her behaviour to the relevant authorities.

Regrettably this is the type of review you receive when your guests do not respect the House Rules, have a wedding after party at the property, had multiple neighbours complain about the group and hence they were asked to leave and refused. I would warn any other host against allowing Jo or her group to stay at your property – they can’t be trusted and clearly don’t care about disturbing neighbours.
To address the concern on the cameras. We have 2 external security cameras which are clearly disclosed on our listing (side steps and front door). We have no cameras anywhere inside or the main deck or any other area where guests spend time. We only looked at the footage at the front door when we had multiple complaints from neighbours about people making noise at the house until 3.30am in the morning. On being confronted with this information, the guest has written this poor review.
Upon booking Jo accepted the house rules and stated "We want a nice family holiday to stay to have some quiet time together and I assure you are not planning any parties - organizing this wedding 3 times is more than enough!!!" She also listed who was staying in the property and I accepted the booking on those grounds, I felt comfort with the group as an elderly couple were supposed to be staying as well. The people that ended up staying in the property changed (elderly couple did not stay) and we weren't notified. I said "As long as only the people on the booking stay that is fine and no events are to be held at the house (which are the house rules) we are fine to go ahead with the booking." Jo agreed to this.
When we finally got in contact with Jo on Sunday morning she was dishonest about the number of people coming back to the house and didn't admit to breaking the house rules despite having a wedding after party at the house. She failed to take responsibility and we wouldn't have rented the house to her if she was upfront about their plans for an after party. We contacted Stayz that morning notifying them of the house rules being broken and a party being held and they suggested we asked Jo’s group to leave. When on the phone to her she wouldn't accept she had broken the house rules or accept our wishes when asked politely to leave.
Jo's husband threatened me on the phone, wouldn't let me speak and hung up on me so I contacted the police plus Stayz again on this matter. He was also dishonest about the number of people who came back to the house after the wedding. He admitted fault but clearly had no idea about the house rules or what Jo agreed to when booking the house.
We have been renting this property over the past year and have many positive reviews. We take great pride in providing a beautiful property for guests to enjoy and hope that the majority of respectful and honest guests appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining that for their benefit. While I am disappointed that this guest is able to publish this negative review, you can be assured that the review process is unfiltered and that on balance, the positive comments for our property far outweigh the negative. As long as you are respectful of my property, my neighbours and my House Rules I will welcome you & your fellow guests into my home.

The house is simply incredible, the pictures do not do it justice, it is stunning.
The host could not have been more helpful and accomodating. The house is beautifully set up for an amazing stay. We had a fantastic holiday break and it was a real privilege to spend Christmas in such an amazing home in an absolutely incredible location. I honestly could not recommend this home highly enough! Our sincere thanks.

The perfect stay with the most amazing Pittwater views!
We had the most amazing stay at this property over the long weekend. We were a group of eight adults and two young children. The house is perfectly set up for a large group of family or friends and has everything you can think of for entertaining at the house. The dining and kitchen area is well equipped and the outdoor area has the right amount of shade when you need it. As long as you are respectful of the neighbours and the beautiful, peaceful setting you are in, you'll have the dreamiest stay. The location is also epic - only a short walk to Whale Beach Deli and the beach. We can't recommend this place enough - every detail has been thought of to make your stay super comfortable. We look forward to staying here again soon!

Property was beautiful and the view was amazing! The stairs were difficult. Carrying good etc was difficult and having elderly family members walking up and down the stairs wasn't ideal but once inside the house it was worth it. Having to turn the lights off at 10pm as requested by the owner because of the neighbours wasn't great. We had to move inside or sat outside in the dark. Overall the house was clean and tidy. Newly renovated and felt like home.

Beautiful house (but with traffic noise!)
I rented this house and the bottom cottage for my 50th for a group of friends and family.
To present the positives first, the house and view looks just as it does in the pictures, which is beautiful. The kitchen was well appointed. The heating is effective (we were there in winter). The owner let us check in a couple of hours early, which was sincerely appreciated, and she was very quick to respond to questions and was helpful, which was also appreciated.
There were some downsides. The traffic noise from Barrenjoey Rd was constant between 5am and 7pm, such that we didn't enjoy sitting outside to appreciate the view, and we couldn't have the doors open either, which was a great pity, as I'd pictured doing that. Most of us woke at 5am when the traffic started and couldn't get back to sleep. I think most houses in Palm Beach must have this issue. If you weren't sensitive to traffic noise this place would be much more suitable.
There is also limited acoustic separation the house. If people are talking in the lounge, it's very audible in most bedrooms. Sound also travels between bedrooms.
We also found out a few things just before arrival that weren't ideal. The first was that it's a shoes-off house. We had rainy weather, and going between the top and bottom house meant taking shoes off at the back door on the wet deck...with wet socks as a consequence. Also there's no spot at the back door for shoe storage (there is shelter at the front door), so most of our shoes got rained on because we forgot to pull them inside before the rain started. With a large group, it's also a bit icky with socks, because kids drop bits of food on the floor, which stick to your feet. We couldn't find a vacuum to keep the kitchen floor clean, just a broom that wasn't especially effective (that said, we didn't ask if there was a vacuum somewhere).
Finally - the exit was pretty stressful. I paid a very substantial cleaning fee, but we had to wash and put away all the dishes (you can't leave them in the dishwasher) and carry all the rubbish up the very, very long set of steps to the bins. I feel that with such a large a cleaning fee, it would be reasonable to leave clean dishes in a dishwasher and have someone else empty the bins. If the cleaning fee had been lower I would have felt differently.
Overall a generally positive experience, but it wasn't the right place for me because peace and quiet is so important to me.

We have a track record of many five star ratings and other guests haven't highlighted issues raised in your review. Our family and friends constantly stay at the property and we have never had a problem with the traffic noise. We also haven't had any guests experience problems with the traffic, it seems very unusual to be noisy at 5am especially over the weekend. The house is situated on a 1200sqm block with the house set back towards the top of the block with the entrance from Surf Road which is a long way from Barrenjoey Road so noise has never been an issue.
We have spent a lot of time entertaining outside and we have never had any issues with noise with all the doors open.
The no shoe rule is clearly written on our listing so guests are aware of this before they book and it is communicated again before check in so other group members are informed of this. There is a grey basket at the back door similar to the front door which can be used to put shoes etc in. Plus this can be brought inside and there are plenty of baskets available around the house that can be used to store items in.
In relation to the vacuum, we have a brand new Miele vacuum cleaner under the stairs next to the dining table which is for guests use, along with the brooms, dust mops, mops, paper towel and antibacterial wipes plus all the required cleaning products. I would have been more than happy to let you know where it was if you asked but we have never had a guest raise this issue. You might want to look properly before complaining. You also indicated you couldn't clean the barbecue due to the lack of cleaning materials which were all available in the barbecue drawer and underneath – again you may want to look properly before complaining.
The cleaning fee doesn't even cover the cost of professional cleaners and the laundry service for a house of this size. We kindly ask people to remove the rubbish as it could be days before the cleaner comes. It is also very common for holiday rental properties to put the rubbish out and ask for all the dishes to be put away and leave the kitchen as you found it on departure.
I am sincerely sorry that we weren't about to live up to your expectations you had for your 50th birthday celebration. I left extra touches to make your stay even more special which obviously went unnoticed. I also allowed you an early check as you wanted to enjoy lunch on the deck on the day you checked in.
I promptly answered the constant text messages even when they were sent late at night. I even had my cleaners running around the property looking for a lost wetsuit that you sent numerous texts about and I personally looked for it. Finally you communicated it wasn't even at the property.
I am not sure what more we could have done to make you happier. I feel that this type of accommodation model is not suitable for yourself and your group. A hotel where you have a team of people on call 24 hours to service your constants needs and room servicing daily would perhaps be more suitable for you and your group.

We had a great time. Great views from a couple of the floors. Beautiful gas fire that kept the top three floors beautifully warm.

Beautiful property
Beautiful property in excellent condition. Shared spaces are brilliant for family or friends sharing a weekend. Rebecca was very responsive.
There are a lot of stairs down to the property from the road so just need to check that if you have people with less mobility.
Otherwise a beautiful property with stunning view. The deck is particularly lovely as well as the creative play space for kids below the house. Very cool!

We are family of 5 with 3 active kids. We purchased this property (Blue Salt) in 2019 and have undertaken a transformational renovation which we hope you enjoy as much as our family does. We have travelled extensively so understand what people like in a property and have tried to provide everything to ensure you stay is enjoyable.
We live in Sydney but are not based at the property. We are however contactable and can assist with any questions or issues.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
We bought this property given its convenient location (close to the beach, wedding venues, cafe's etc...), amazing views of Pittwater, off street parking on Surf Rd and its proximity to Sydney. It also has an old sandstone cottage at the bottom of the property which is separately available to rent.
