Great convenient place

We loved staying here. Convenient to have covered parking, the office was super close for check-in/check-out, there's a bus stop super close. The condo itself was well appointed. One maintenance issue: the second bathroom (in the hall) had a completely clogged tub drain that made taking a shower really unpleasant - the drain needs to be snaked.

Mountainback #57

The property location is great, walkable to the Canyon Lodge. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Hot tub was close and easy to use. Parking was easy and indoorsThe property could use some work:-the cleaning products used were intoxicating and gave some a headache. The property smelled strong for days. -the blinds are heavy to operate and one of the blind valences fell on our kiddo during out stay. -the heating is tricky since all heaters have separate controls. -there is no gasket on the fireplace so it produces no heat, just pulls warm air from living area. -the TV remotes didn't control the tv. Overall, we wouldn't stay at this property again because I didnt find it worth the money spent.

Good place but needs better heat!

We enjoyed our stay but oddly the heat just didn't do the job. Weird because there were two space heaters in the living room and wall heaters in the bedrooms. It did eventually heat up but it took a really long time and the temp was in the 30's & 40's (not in the teens and 20's or colder as it can be)

We really liked the mattresses and a large dining table. The kitchen has everything you need. Some lamps didn't work, there were not hand soaps (we have to buy), there were no handles in the shower door and I was always afraid that the glass would fell on me.

Great Place

We went in February for a ski trip. The place is very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The location is less than half mile to Canyon Lodge, though the walk is uphill. So since we had all our ski stuff, we decided to use the trolly. The stop is right outside the building and takes you down to the village as well. Very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Condo

Overall, this is our first time using VRBO and it was a pleasant enjoyable experience. The condo at unit #57 is clean and well kept. Having a separate futon-bed in the den was a nice plus. The swimming pool was nice and warm. The covered garage parking was a plus. Our family really enjoyed our time here (except for not catching much fish which was the main point of coming to Mammoth Lakes. Thank you for your accommodations!! I will mention a few inconveniences about this condo. There is no air conditioner. So it was warm during the night. There was a small portable fan in the master bedroom which helped. For the other room and the den, we opened the windows but it was partially noisy and inconvenient and still was warm for most of the night, especially for the futon-bed in the den. In the middle of the night it got cold for one of our family members (me), but there was no extra blanket (they were all wrapped up and sealed due to COVID 19 and if you opened it up, you would get charged an extra cleaning fee), so the sleep was unpleasant for me. So either, bring your own extra blanket if you tend to sleep warm, or wear long sleeves and sweatpants, or buy a cheap blanket at the convenience store when you get here, or break the seal and use the extra blankets in the bag and pay the extra cleaning fee. I used our large beach towels as the extra blanket which kept me warm. The hot spa was not working “due to COVID 19” which did not make sense. Be careful when you open the window shades in the condo since they are quite old and fragile-looking. When we were opening the shade to the patio glass door, the rope broke, so the shade was kept half open. We notified the property manager expecting them to fix it right away, but they said they can only fix it once we check out of the condo since they are not allowed into the condo when someone is renting the place. So our family member sleeping in the den were inconvenienced with a half-open patio glass door shade. But besides these minor inconveniences, we enjoyed the condo and surrounding environment. Our favorite events were the fast boat ride and fishing at Lake Crowley and the electric bicycle rental at Mammoth Lakes. The boats at Mammoth Lakes and Lake Convict were too slow (also there were no fish which was a drag).

Overall a great place

This condo was perfect for my family and brother who joined us. Quiet complex, great beds for adults and den was perfect for teens. Only a few small detractions. When we arrived there was only 1 roll of tp for a 2 bath condo that can hold 7 people. The drain in 1 bathroom was draining slow and the windows were difficult to open. One window is pulling away from the frame as well, but it didn’t let air in. Still, overall a great place to stay.

Good Family place near Canyon

Comfortable, well-stocked, good location. The only problem is that the room heaters are very weak.

Two small baseboard heaters in bedrooms & two additional portable electric heaters in main room take about 24 hours to heat the condo adequately so our first night was very cold.
