The stay was simply incredible. Our host Dierk was kind, welcoming and gave great support and recommendations. The house was perfect in its furnishings, locations and everything in between. We could not be happier with our stay and would recommend this place and our wonderful host to anyone heading there!

A Hidden Gem

This is a great property nestled in the heart of a what I'd say it a typical Aruban residential neighborhood. It's outside the tourist zone, yet conveniently close to it. It's well maintained, clean and has about everything needed for a comfortable stay. I love the privacy and security of the electric gate, yet the patio has a nice open feel. It is an amazing value when compared to other listings. Dierk, the host is friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this rental.

Great vacation at the great location

We stayed at Dierk's house for three weeks and had the best vacation. The house is close to Eagle Beach (15 min walk) and the Super Food Plaza (13 min walk). Crossing the roads was easy, as all cars stopped when they saw that people were crossing the road. The house is well-air-conditioned and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Dierk is fantastic and was always available for you when you needed anything about the house or taxi or anything else. The towels and bed sheets were refreshed every week. The outdoor sitting was great and relaxing as beautiful trees and flowers surrounded us. I highly recommend this property if you want a great time in Aruba. Thank you, Dierk, for taking care of us. We had the best time in Aruba! See you soon!!!!

Great location, host and place to stay.

This was our first VBRO ever so we were a bit nervous. The host was awesome and very helpful. Communication was very good and the pin drop he sent for Google maps took us to the front gate We stayed over Christmas, and he helped get us a diner reservation for Christmas Eve. The unit is well equipped for whatever you may need while here. The location is very convenient to travel around from as a home base. There are a couple of EU plug-style extension cords if you happen to have some adapters. Otherwise, the place has US blade-type outlets. The one by the living room TV has a host of USB plugs which came in handy for all the phones, cameras, Garmin, etc to charge. The patio is nice to hang out to enjoy the weather and admire the flowers and plants. The patio and parking spot are gated so that is also nice. As a bonus, there is an outside laundry sink and clothes hanger for washing your beach or scuba gear. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Aruba.

Nice Apartment and Pleasant Stay

We stayed 9 nights at Dierk’s. For the most part, a good location — quiet neighbourhood, 15 min walk to beach or large Super Food grocery store. Walking distance (2 min) to the closest restaurant with more a 5 to 10 min walk. Several convenience stores within a 2-3 min walk. Laundry close by but expensive (or they over charged us USD$18 for a single load)? Neighbourhood felt safe but had limited/no sidewalks. Once you get to the beach, there are great paths for walking and biking. Only location downside was you had to cross two busy roads to get to the beach and other restaurant areas. AC worked well, each room with its own unit. We respected Dierk’s request to conserve energy by closing doors and turning off when not home. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Really nice front terrace to sit out on surrounded by plants, hummingbird and lizard visits. Beach supplies included beach towels, chairs, small cooler, etc. TV worked well with some English channels. USB station near the TV worked well for charging. Linens and towels were clean and fresh. Host replaced bath/kitchen towels upon request half way through. Apartment was very clean and comfortable! Dierk was helpful with any questions and arranged a taxi back to the airport for us. From the airport the taxi charged USD$35, the one Dierk arranged was only USD$28. He also arranged for a bike rental for my husband. I would recommend Dierk’s apartment.

Große Wohnung in verkehrsgünstiger Lage, z.T. sparsam ausgestattet

Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten, der Patio hübsch dekoriert, Bad und Küche sind geräumig. Für einen Tag am Strand gibt es eine umfangreiche Ausstattung: Insgesamt sechs Beachchairs, zwei Kühlboxen etc. Was verbessert werden könnte: Die Couch, sowie die Stühle im Patio sind etwas durchgesessen. Zudem gab es nur zwei Stühle und einen Liegestuhl im Patio. Wer zu Viert reist, muss sich mit einem Strandstuhl dazu setzen. Zudem hätten wir uns über mehr Geschirr gefreut (keine tiefen Teller, vier Gläser). Dafür gab es neben der Mikrowelle und der Kaffemaschine (nebst Filtern) einen Toaster und einen Standmixer. Auf Nachfrage gab es auch für die zweite Urlaubswoche frische Handtücher. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber über den Gartenzaun oder Whatsapp verlief einwandfrei und der Gastgeber hat schnell auf unsere Wünsche/ Anmerkungen reagiert. Insgesamt eine großzügig geschnittene Wohnung in guter Lage (zu Superfood oder dem Eagles Beach), die sich eignet, wenn man wenig kocht (oder gern sofort abwäscht).

Lovely Visit

Very nice apartment and a lovely place to stay while visiting friends in Aruba. We did not cook but the kitchen had everything you would need. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Convenient location with off street parking.
