Southland Coastal Gem

Such a beautiful home in a magical spot, modern but comfortable and cozy, so many interesting places nearby especially Gemstone Beach and Howell’s Point Reserve, and Riverton is really charming, we loved our stay

Birthday holiday

Lovely place and beach walks, home was very tidy and had everything we needed. The beds were not too comfortable though. Particularly the kids beds.

Lovely place

A beautiful comfortable spot. Only criticism is having to bring our own linen. Bringing sheets and towels added a lot of bulk to my carry on luggage on my flight as I flew with seat only.

Beautiful sea

We enjoyed our stay, perhaps some updated pics would be a good idea as properties start being developed, wifi would be nice as not alot to do in the winter rains. We did have to clean the property on arrival but aside from that we enjoyed our stay, it was warm, cosy and comfy 😀

Modern comfy home

Place was hard to find and we were surprised no linen provided in bedroom or kitchen and bathroom. Serena kindly gave us access to linen from a locked cupboard.We had huge winds and rain and house was very noisy. No window coverings in living areas meant we felt very exposed. However the place was sparkling clean well appointed safe and private. Serena went out of her way to help us when I phoned her.Would love to stay again.

Colac bay retreat

Relaxing and peaceful. Even though 2 of us were less than an hour from our homes we felt like we were on a holiday and could have been anywhere in the world. I recommend short getaways even if it's your own back yard. A change of scenery does a world of good.

Great stay thanks - clean, warm, well appointed. Great communication from hosts. Good fire and plenty of firewood - perfect for a winter getaway. Nice base to explore the area - plenty to see and do if you dont surf, perfect spot if you do surf.

ideal short holiday in a delightful spot

Everything was easy, from arrival to departure. The bach is located at the end of a quiet road, not far from the beach. The weather was warm and calm and we were able to make use of the ample outdoor seating and eating space. Inside was clean, cosy and comfortable. Thank you

Colac bay

Over all our stay was great at the oyster lane property. the property had everything we needed ,was warm and comfortable. The only thing we would like to mention ,as there is a cleaning charge being taken, but on our arrival at the property we had to vacuum the lounge and kitchen and Clean the bathroom .

Hi Paul - thank you for your review and apologies about the property not being up to cleaning standard. I checked with our cleaner and she thinks it was left spotless but obviously if it wasn’t up your standard, then it wouldn’t be up to ours either. If you have any photos of what wasn’t done properly I would appreciate them. Irrespective I would be happy to refund you the cleaning fee. Please send me your bank account details. This was the perfect beach escape for us. So perfect if you have young children as there were lots of toys, puzzles and games provided. It was such a cozy sweet beach cottage we loved it and will definitely book it again.

Very relaxing and most enjoyable Bach ever

Amazing Bach and location. The fire in lounge very cosy, lovely amenities. Everything there for an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful views of the ocean. One of the more nicer places we've ever stayed at. Thank you to our hosts.

Seaside stay

Lovely cosy seaside cottage. Great walks on the beach and an easy walk to Colac Bay. Although it poured with rain on our second day of our stay the cottage was warm and welcoming.

Modern Coastal Retreat

Recommend - fully fenced home 1 min from the beach

This fully fenced home was perfect for us and the dog who could roam around freely. The beach was so close down a lane and very enjoyable for walks in any weather. We loved the fire place, the relaxing setting, and choice of books and videos. There are many walks, short and bit longer, in the vicinity and the Crib Cafe has the best coffee, lovely food, all just a few minutes' drive. The bed was very comfy as were the sofas. I recommend this home if you are after a quiet location.

Awesome weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your gorgeous place at Colac Bay. I had never been there before. We swam in the ocean, rode bikes and played golf. Fishing unsuccessful but one of our group got some surfing in.

excellent property. clean and with many great facilities in a beautiful spot. quiet, good sun and views. to make it perfect we would have loved bedside lamps so you did not have to get up to switch a light off, a dish cloth too!

Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Serena’s place. The location was incredible, a stones throw from the beach but rural and very peaceful. We stayed in winter and with the firing roaring the house was incredible cosy, it had everything we needed to enjoy a few relaxing nights away. Would highly recommend and we will be returning for sure!

Hi Anusha- I am sorry to read you didn't enjoy your stay. I know there were issues with your check-in and I am sorry for this. We had a break doing air bnb for winter and were having issues finding a cleaner. We now have a property manager and a new great cleaner, so all those teething issues have been ironed out. We hope to host you again in the future.
