Escapada completamente nueva y apartada para familias con acceso directo a tierras públicas

Deje atrás el estrés y disfrute del tiempo que pasa con su familia y amigos en esta nueva cabaña familiar de 5 dormitorios. Fácilmente accesible por todos los vehículos, este escape de montaña increíblemente tranquilo y relajante está rodeado por el brillo de la Madre Naturaleza, con visitas regulares de nuestros "vecinos" como alces, ciervos, alces y una multitud de pájaros y ardillas. Esta cabaña de 5 dormitorios y 2 baños de nueva construcción se encuentra en 20 acres rodeados de terrenos públicos del Servicio Forestal, con acceso directo a numerosas actividades. La cabina se construyó alrededor de la cabina minera original de la propiedad, que ahora sirve como una de las 5 habitaciones temáticas.

Las actividades son infinitas; herraduras, bochas, folfing, lazo de golf, nadar en el estanque, pescar en la propiedad, andar en bicicleta de montaña, relajarse en cualquiera de las 4 cubiertas, sumergirse en el jacuzzi para 7 personas o incluso tomar una siesta en una de las hamacas colocado en toda la propiedad. Disfrute de la belleza que ofrece el bosque Selway-Bitterroot que lo rodea con caminatas de un día a los lagos de montaña o pesca en el río West Fork. Visite uno de los numerosos miradores de incendios en el área para obtener vistas espectaculares e infinitas, o realice excursiones de un día para visitar lugares como Big Hole National Battlefield, Bannack Ghost Town, Historic Virginia City o Lost Trail Ski Area. Termine su día sentándose junto a una fogata, haciendo humo, compartiendo historias del día y mirando el magnífico cielo estrellado. Haga alguno o todos estos, o simplemente elija no hacer nada en absoluto.

We looked for a place we could bring our 3 adult children, their spouses and our 5 grand children. What a great choice. The owners were exceptional communicators, and super hosts. The rustic home was exactly what we wanted. Cute decor and lots of things for the grandkids to do. We would love to come back in the future.

Wonderful retreat

This was our second year staying here, and it was just as great as we remembered. The kids ages 3&5, really loved playing in the stream that goes by the house as well as the playground. The adults loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. We plan on seeing you next year as well!

Great for a family outing

If you are looking for a mountain getaway, this property offers everything you could ask for. The cabin is nestled in the pine trees, great mountain views, abundance of wildlife in the area, mountain streams, and the Painted Rock Lake is spectacular! The cabin was very comfy for the 7 of us and it is true to the listing. We enjoyed being able to use the fire pit, hot tub (a big hit), and the outdoor games that were available.We did make a few trips into Darby (easy 45 minute drive) to check out the town and surrounding areas. Most of the time though was spent around the cabin or driving some of the mountain roads nearby in search of wildlife. The charcoal bbq grill was put to use nearly everyday.Dawn & Jerry were super hosts, meeting us at the cabin upon our arrival and answering any questions that we had. We were amazed by all the extras that were provided for our stay. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose to plan to stay in this very spacious cabin!!

Relaxing and comfortable getaway

Our family had a great stay. It was a very hot week, so we enjoyed the creek and pond by day, and the hot tub by night! Everything we needed to prepare meals was available to us. Our hosts were very sweet and helpful and made us feel very welcomed. They were there if we needed anything, and even though close by, it offered privacy and a great place to gather!

Perfect house for 3 generation family

We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the last 15 years and this was either the family favorite or the second favorite of all the houses we have stayed in. The house is nicely designed to allow family time and alone time. It was rainy and cold for much of our stay so we didn't take advantage of the pond and some of the games but we still had a very good time. We very well might come back in 2 or 3 years. We are hikers and there were trails for every level from the casual walker to the hard core mountaineer.

Amazing Family Vacation/Wedding

We had an absolute amazing time. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The pod and stream was a nice way to cool off. Scenery amazing!!!! We plan to make this place a family tradition.

Incredible!!

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful property. It is a hidden gem, tucked away in Montana. We loved the hot tub, the pond, walking trails, wildlife, and nearby Painted Rock State park for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. We saw elk, deer, chipmunks, buffalo, etc. The kitchen is so well stocked. We kept thinking there must be something they would be missing, but each time, we found what we needed. It was amazing. So green and beautiful. The beds were comfy along with the couches. So nice to have the wi-fi, lots of dining space, a lovely kitchen, etc. Hope to be back soon.

Delightfully remote and relaxing

We had a wonderful week in the woods courtesy of this spacious cabin. The just-a-step-away forest access was perfect for our crew and the cabin was so well stocked with everything from baking supplies to blankets! Our only (minor) issue was some reactivity to the scented detergents/cleaning products, which had one of the group member's asthma acting up. From babies to adults to dogs, everyone still had a blast running around and exploring the area.

Wonderful cabin for family

We loved everything about the cabin, we especially enjoyed the hot tub and the little stream running in front of the cabin. Also getting to see elk and deer out the dining room window was great! Perfect Cabin for Family

The owners are wonderful people and have thought of everything you could possibly need. The pond was fun and we all enjoyed it very much on these warm days with plenty of toys for the grandkids. The cabin is spacious, clean and well stocked. Hopefully, we can make it back next year.

Jerry & Dawn Schreiber are the owners of the property. They built their original log cabin on the property to be a family vacation spot as their four kids were growing up. They have since retired and now spend the majority of their time at this place. With their kids now grown with families of their own, the original place would get crowded whenever the whole family could get together. So, they decided it was time to expand and build a new cabin on the property that could accommodate everyone. They also realized that they had an incredible location for other families, like their own, to gather and make memories that would last a lifetime. It is because of this that they decided to share this new property with others, through VRBO, looking to create the same type special family memories that they have enjoyed for decades.

This property was originally purchased in 1965 by Jerry Schreiber's parents, who had visited the area for years prior to their purchase. The property has been host to numerous family reunions since then and is now being enjoyed by the fourth generation of the family.
