Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns, as our goal is always to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We were asking clarifying questions so that we could better understand the situation and work toward a resolution, not to diminish your concerns. Regarding the microwave, it was not broken; it had simply not been plugged in properly. Had we been informed during your stay, we would have been happy to assist immediately. Prior to your arrival, we informed you that the sofa bed had recently broken. While awaiting replacement parts, we provided an air mattress alternative and offered a full refund before your stay began in an effort to avoid any conflict. Unfortunately, you declined the refund and chose to proceed with the reservation. It’s important to note that when you first arrived, you mentioned how great the cottage was. No concerns were brought to our attention until after you had left the property. It is unfortunate when guests feel the need to exaggerate their experience negatively afterward. Naturally, over the years, there will be some normal wear and tear on our homes, but we do our best to maintain and update the property to high standards. As for the bugs, while we have regular professional pest control, given the rural location, if doors are left open, insects can enter more easily, which is outside of anyone’s control. We take all feedback seriously and are always striving to improve.
