Located in the traditional old village of Bayac, close to Beaumont du Perigord in the picturesque Couze Valley and within 1 hour's drive of almost all the Dordogne's famous historic sites, our farmhouse is a great base to explore from. Close by are Lalinda, Molieres, Le Buge and Beaumont and historic chateau a stones throw away.

With its beautiful steep sided Perigordian roof this large property has 5 bedrooms, many with original features, including the original 15th century upstairs fireplace. The interior is restored in a classic French style but with many modern extras as we have gas central heating throughout. We are limited to no more than 10 persons.
 
"Best Pool Ever", is what many of our guests tell us. The private pool and gardens are enclosed with lockable gates to keep youngsters safe. There is an adjoining, shaded play area, with trampoline and swings. There is ample secure parking for up to 3 cars, 3 large south facing patios, a solar shower poolside, large gas barbecue and plenty of shade in the gardens and walnut grove. An 8,000 square metre paddock to the rear gives room for sports.

The pool is private and south facing, warm in summer 30C +. Size, a generous 8M by 5 M with a depth of 1.2M (4ft) to ensure younger children can play safely. Children must be supervised at all times. Large pool patios with sun loungers, tables chair and parasols. The pool is fully automatic and is cleaned daily, free of charge. No need to heat it.

Nearby is the village adventure playground for children, with swings, slides, rope walks etc. Next to it are the Boules courts, table tennis and a velo pump track for the teenagers.

NEW Feature. The Mayor has recently installed an outdoor Table Tennis table on the village green. The Pump Track for cycles and skateboards. Younger children must be supervised.

Both Couze and Beaumont have local restaurants. Lalinda, just 10 minutes away by car has many good local restaurants, serving lunch for 15 euros. Newly opened Canoe and Pizzeria is also in Lalinda.

'Pick your own' fruit and vegetables from the well-stocked organic garden. Children DVDs and books for the adults and board games provided.
 
Drive to us, (full directions provided), or fly to Bergerac Airport, just 25 minutes drive from us, with flights from European & UK airports. 

This is a large and spacious farmhouse, with lots of room for everyone. It is not a small gite or chalet property.

This is a quiet and ancient French village. There are caves (closed), where humans lived in the village 22,000 years ago during the Ice Age.

IMPORTANT - All bookings for peak season, July and August must be for units of one or two weeks or multiples of this. Also all arrival and departures are on Saturdays. Any booking that does not comply will not be accepted - thank you.
