A few recommendations if you are on holiday here include Meeting of the Waters in Avoca and Dublin Zoo, all within 90 minutes drive from Askanagap. Playground and wonderful walks around the cottage, so much to see and do, I could write a book about it, hopefully we’ll be back soon.
The Ryan Family, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, August 2019 All of us greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and cosy and laid out perfectly to suit our family. Views were fab, we only wish the weather had been a bit better. We had never been to Wicklow and there is so much to see and do, we may return, hopefully, during summertime. All in all the accommodation was perfect. Couldn’t ask for more.
Chris, Denise, Cara & Lauren, Co. Down, Northern Ireland, August 2019 Thank you John & Julie for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. When we arrived we were pleased to see the fire lighting on a day that was raining and after a long drive. The fruit cake was delicious too. We enjoyed visiting Aughrim, Avoca and Wicklow Town whilst also spending a day in Bray (the kids loved it) and a trip to Kia Ora mini farm. The views from your cottage are amazing and Chris and Cara were made very welcome when they went to watch a football blitz on the GAA pitch. We will recommend to family and friends!
Sylvia, Ann & Angela, Down & Derry, Northern Ireland, August 2019 The cottage surpassed our expectations, wonderful location; peaceful, yet not far from many beautiful places. We especially loved Aughrim. Thanks to John & Julie for all your help.

Freda & Bill, Shropshire, UK, June 2019 Another warm welcome to a spotlessly clean cottage. Visited all the usual gardens, all still beautiful, no wonder Monty Don listed Mount Usher in his top 10 best gardens. Can’t believe nine years have passed since our last visit, how time flies. Weather on the whole good, but Ireland wouldn’t be so green without a little rain!
