Searching for a one-of-a-kind rental? This charming upper-level apartment above the Northport Post Office could be perfect. Northport is rich in history and a delightful town. Post Office Box 1 is a spacious two-bedroom, one-bath unit with a walk-in shower. With 1200 sq ft of space, it never feels crowded. The apartment retains much of its original architecture, featuring towering ceilings and tall windows that offer fantastic views of Northport. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an open area leading to the kitchen and living room. The full/twin bedroom is off the dining area, and the king bedroom is adjacent to the living room. The king bedroom has a TV. The main living area includes a queen bed for extra sleeping space. Wall units provide air conditioning, and ceiling fans are installed in the bedrooms.

The kitchen boasts marble floors, stainless steel appliances, and ample room to cook. It includes a gas stove, dishwasher, and a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer. Off the kitchen is the dining area, which seats six. Walk down the hall to the living room and enjoy a space filled with entertainment options. Relax with some TV, cozy up by the gas fireplace, or listen to your favorite tunes on the high-quality BOSE radio. An additional seating area off the living room is perfect for board games or workspace. Internet is available. While there is no cable, ROKU and YouTube TV are provided. Rainy-day puzzles and games are also available. Northport Beach, Marina, and Park are just a block away. Located at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, Northport is home to Leelanau State Park, Lighthouse, and Kiehl Lake Natural Area—just a few of the area's natural attractions. Enjoy great restaurants, coffee shops (Barbs Bakery is a local favorite!), and Toms Grocery Store—all within walking distance.

4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS are managed by the Village of Northport. Funded by donations, they are a spectacular display to celebrate this holiday.

The Northport Performing Arts Center organizes MUSIC IN THE PARK.

Perfect Location

In the past, we often stayed in the remote location with 100% privacy so I was little concerned being in the center of village but the convenience of being at across from the grocery store, the gas station that we can order delicious pizza(!) and Northport Marina was priceless! Steps away for Friday farmers market and the concert in the parkThe unit is beautiful and spacious, very comfortable.After 9pm, the village becomes like a ghost town and perfectly quiet.Loved it here! Definitely will stay here again!

Very comfortable

Beautiful place. Located in town near all shops and brewery. The finishes are amazing. Was stocked with plenty of towels, paper towels, games.Loved all the windows, the kitchen and dining room was large. Communication was fast and efficient. Would definately stay again.

The location was outstanding, within easy walking distance of the marina, lakefront park space, and downtown Northport. The rental has been beautifully renovated, with more space than expected and high end finishings & furniture. We are already looking forward to a return visit to this property!

This place is GREAT! You really have the top half of the building - front to back. It's very well put-together, it's a very comfy stay, the fireplace works great, the views are both scenic when you want and private with the window coverings they have. I can heartily recommend this place to anyone who handle a flight of stairs.

Beautiful place and great location

We stayed over the 4th and had the greatest time. My kids loved the spacious apartment, and the ability to walk to the beach and park wherever we wanted. There isn't a lot of eating options though, we wished there was a place for breakfast, and everything closes early during the week - so we had some issues with that but thankfully Toms grocery was right there also. The only negatives about the apartment were that there was a smell coming from a closet - come to find out the mops were left in a plastic bag and in the bucket and not aired out and stunk horrible, and that the post office was a little loud especially from the back bedroom in the early morning. Other than that - our stay was amazing.

An unbelievably great space near local shops

It's about four minutes walking distance to the New Bohemian coffee shop - an excellent third place. There's quaint little bookstore with a surprising variety of books (I got a german language book on the history of cartography.)The stairs are steep, but the place is very quiet. The deadbolt to the outside has trouble locking when you leave but has no issue when you are in the for the evening. No, the Post Office doesn't go through this door - you lock it as you wish.I would definitely recommend this place for just about any stay in the area.

Wonderful!!!

We loved this rental. It was so clean and welcoming! The games and display case was so great! I loved all the touches and the management group was excellent. The communication was so easy and supportive. The condo was so well built! I loved the big closet in the main room. We will rent again when we visit! We are picky renters and this stay passed the test. Can’t wait to stay again.

Generous Living Space

We wished we had chosen this place originally! We were definitely glad we made the change. The place was immaculate. Tall ceilings, large rooms, and views of the harbor! We love all things Northport and this just added to it. It was great being able to walk to the harbor, shops, food, and grocery. Some may think a negative would be the mail being delivered downstairs early in the morning, but that didn't last long. The spare room bed was difficult to get out of and was a little uncomfortable. Overall it was worth every penny and we now have a hard decision to make as to where to stay next summer.

Peaceful family get away

The rental was very clean, spacious, and tastefully finished. Close to many beaches, dunes, and nice restaurants. We hiked, biked, went swimming, fished the harbor, and visited the farmers market. Really with two teenage daughters, 11 yr old son, wife, and myself, we could of parked the vehicle for the entire time and stayed in Northport.

The interior (floors, doors, furniture) is of high quality and well maintained. If I were looking for something in the area I would consider this place again. I am not sure what to think of the company managing the place. They let you fill out a lot of paperwork and keep telling you how important it is that you read everything they sent you. They even call you to tell you how important it is and that you reeeeeaallllyyy need to read it. When you are at the place you find out that some of the (sometimes strangely written) information is wrong/ outdated.... I have seen companies doing that in a more professional way.

Amazing location and loft

We are in love with Northport and will be repeat travelers. The loft was in the perfect location. You can see the marina/bay from the living room. There are small beaches on each side of the marina that are a 5 min walk. A grocery store, bakery, cute shops, & great bar & grills are steps away. Northport is conveniently located next to so many fun places to visit - Grand Traverse Lighthouse/Leelanau State Park (12 mins), Leland Fishtown (15 mins), Sutton's Bay (20 mins), Peterson rock hunting beach & sunset extraordinaire (5 min), Christmas Cove swimming beach (6 mins), etc. The living room is great. All of the seating is luxury movie theater recliners. The shared quarters are spacious, but the kitchen has limited counter space. Overall we loved the loft. I wanted to give this home 5-stars, but here is why I cannot: 1. The lockbox on the bottom door into the stairwell that leads up to the loft does not lock. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem except the main loft doors are similar to a french door; they are all glass making it so ANYONE can see into the living space and easily gain access. It felt super unsafe for us city folk. We weren't sure if the post office used the bottom door so didn't want to manually dead-bolt the door at night. 2. None of the trundle or murphy beds were functioning. The trundle in the 2nd room does not pull out because the main bed is on lifters which blocks the trundle. The murphy bed in the open living room space just wouldn't pull out. There truly are only 2 functioning beds (a king and a full). The full bed frame is a little wobbly and the mattress isn’t great; its firm and has a divot in the middle. However, the master bed and the reclining chairs in the living room are very comfortable to sleep on. 3. The remotes in the bedrooms that operated the fan and lights were synced opposite to each other. The first night we thought the place was haunted because the fans and lights kept operating on their own – haha. Then we realized whenever I turned off my light it turned on the master room. If I turned my fan on it turned theirs off and vice-versa. It was actually pretty funny. However, this issue forced one of the rooms to have to manually turn off the light switch thus not being able to use the fan. Because we loved Northport and the rest of the house, these things weren’t deal-breakers or emergencies for us. But they are things renters should be aware of and that the property manager should look into.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Apartment was very nice, just a couple issues. Bed in second BR was VERY uncomfortable, daughter couldn't sleep in it after first night and we came home a day early (wasted $), with sofa not a good second choice. Also not informed there is an apt. in rear with a tenant. Noises from that area during the night very alarming for 2 women. Cleaning fee seems to be just for changing bedding. Guest expected to do everything else. Did like location.

We loved it - make sure to pack k-cups though, we brought coffee filters like it was listed but then got there to no regular coffee pot which was disappointing. There is plenty of spots around town to grab coffee though if you don't plan to make it at home. We would totally recommend!

Very nice place

After booking a fishing trip we were looking for someplace to stay close to our boat. At first I felt we were getting leftovers because everything in the area was booked but that was not the case. We stayed 4 days and what a beautiful place very nice decor clean and very spacious. I felt at first it was a little on the high side but after our visit we realized the effort and money spent on a place this nice. Don’t be alarmed by post office open underneath it was no trouble at all. Good parking close to everything and a very comfortable place for up to six. If we venture out that way again I wouldn’t hesitate to boom here again. Thank you for the enjoyable stay

A diamond of a find

If you’re ever in Northport, definitely stay here. The location is right near the water and is in walking distance if everything you’ll need. The set up and design of the place is wonderful, I even took notes because I want to add some things to my house. 12/10!
