This cute kiwi bach is located just over an 1 hour north of Auckland in the little harbour-side settlement of Whangateau. It sits across the road from a large reserve bordering the clear waters of Whangateau Harbour.

Enjoy lovely views from sunrise to sunset across the water to Omaha and Ti Point from the open plan kitchen, lounge & front deck.

The property consists of two dwellings - a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom main house and a separate modern 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom self-contained cottage, on a large fenced section.

The master bedroom in the main house has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a king single and a single that can be put together if needed for a couple.

In the cottage there is a queen bed, bathroom, laundry, open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with a double sofa-bed, fridge/freezer, microwave, 1 electric hob and electric fry-pan. There is a spare single mattress to use on the floor if needed.

There is a BBQ available for both dwellings to use.

The main house has a front deck on which you can enjoy the harbour views throughout the day and come the end of the day the cottage has a sunny deck with private garden - perfect for enjoying a peaceful evening beverage.

Across the road is a large field/reserve, playground, tennis and basketball court, and high tide boat ramp. The harbour has a sandy bottom, so it’s nice to walk on and explore at low tide and at high tide its little white-sand beaches are great to swim, kayak and paddle board from. Kayaks are available for use!

There’s plenty of off-street parking for cars, campervan or boat.

It’s a quick 5 mins drive north to Leigh, 4 mins north to the lovely Matheson Bay beach, 10 mins north to Goat Island Marine Reserve, 10 mins to Omaha Beach and 5 mins drive south to Matakana. There are many things to do in the area for young and old if you feel like getting out and about.
