The group of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for our long weekend stay at this property. Plenty of extra bedding to help us deal with the Ballarat weather. Kitchen is well stocked with equipment and basic pantry items. Ned the host was fantastic with his communication in the lead up to our stay.

Best location

Staying for basketball nationals, the location was 92 seconds away from the stadium. In relation to supermarkets and dining within less than 5 minutes. Property provided every amenity we needed with plenty of beds to suit. Will stay again if in the region

Great place for a large group

This house can comfortably fit a lot of people. It was clean, and had all we needed. The two living areas are great for adults and kids to have their own space for a bit.

Lots of room for family of 6. Ages from 80 to 26. Could easily sleep lots more. Plenty of bunks and 2 separate sitting areas. Great clean, no fuss roomy house. Central to lake shops and sports area

Great Home for Larger Groups

We were a family group of 9 and travelled to Ballarat for specific activities for the kids. We found the house to be spacious and comfortable. Loved that there were 2 bathrooms (no ensuite) which made it extremely easy to organise showers etc. 2 Lounge areas also meant division of adults & children for TV viewing. Location was quiet and relatively central with shops, takeaways in close proximity. Communications with Ned were easy and hassle free. Happily recommend this property to larger groups.

Satisfactory stay for large groups

Home needs a better clean, bedhead in one room was dirty. Can't open most windows and cupboards unusable due to storage of linen in front room. Showering was hit and miss with cold water coming on more frequently than hot and central heating unit was noisy throughout the night. Overpriced for condition of property.

No Frills Long Weekend

The no frills home was perfect for three families and lots of kids. The kitchen was small but elsewhere plenty of space for adults and kids to play (incl some games) or watch TV. Bathrooms were excellent and nicely finished. The quilts were on the thin side but there were plenty of spare quilts (enough for each bed) to layer up for the cold nights. Downside were no first aid box or fire blanket and baking paper and/or tin foil would have been appreciated, but not provided. Location is in a quiet suburb, close to the lake and an easy drive to key locations.

The property was as advertised and perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space inside and was able to split most of the kids and grandparents into different rooms. Place was very clean and well stocked with linen and towels. Showers were nice with the option of the rainmaker head or hand held head. Big deep bath that our youngest loved. For the international travellers, both toilets have a bidet.We visited at the start of spring. Was very cold and wet still but the ducted heating, split system in the lounge and radiators in each bedroom were very much appreciated. Kept everyone nice and warm when needed. All appliances worked well and without issue. The games in the lounge were great for the kids.We booked this place because one of our kids was playing footy at mars stadium which was only 1.2kms from here. Beds were all pretty good. Felt a spring on the right hand side of the main bedroom matress.Only slight gripe was it was a little noisy here. We're from country gippsland and don't have neighbours so this may have been a me problem but there were quite a few cars that seemed to use this road as a drag strip and the neighbours had music going late one night.

Just ok

Ned's place is in a quiet neighbourhood with good offstreet parking space. The house and furnishings are very basic, eg. Tired sofas that were not very comfortable, low quality mattresses and bedding, old and thin towels. The kitchen has plenty of plates and cups but not even one tea towel for drying dishes. We were a group of 6 adults and the hot water system was not suitable to cope with this many showers over the course of a day (a cold shower at the end of a long bike ride is not fun). Ned's place could be really good with just a bit of investment in some more comfortable amenities.

In response - the comfort of the sofas is subjective and the feedback is appreciated. Mattresses, bedding and towels are replaced annually, thin towels, maybe, but supersize. Tea towels are kept in the 4th drawer in the kitchen and we are but a phone call away. The hot water system is continuous gas so can't really run out of hot water. Feedback take-in and appreciated as we strive to constantly improve...

Pleasant experience

We pulled up and my wife was concerned that it was not the right place, it looked too small. Pleasantly surprised how big once inside. Gardens just recently trimmed. Place was clean, and had two good living areas, great when have kids. From previous experiences the only little criticism was were no general pantry items, toiletries or toilet paper. Not far from shops and will located. Overall great experience.

Disappointing stay

Needs substantial work/maintenance and upgrades on this property. - toilet leaked constantly all ove bathroom floor - couch in second lounge extremely old and dirty - we were left with no toilet paper or bin liners for first day/night of stay - shower didn’t drain quick enough so water went all over bathroom floor - the washing machine was left with a whole load of wet towels in with nowhere to dry/hang them - sheets/towels terrible quality - compared to other homes I’ve stayed at via stayz.com, the supplies were extremely limited, apart from coffee/sugar, no kitchen/pantry item are supplied. I would not stay here again.

Lovely home away from home!

A lovely place to stay that catered for our 3 different families. Great to have the 2 living zones for the kids and adults to chill separately and enough rooms for everyone to sleep. Everything we needed was supplied. Thankyou for allowing us to stay at your house for us to have a wonderful, stress-free trip!

Very warm home, with plenty of space for the kids.

This home is great for a large family or two family’s sharing. The house is warm and clean. Love that it has 2 lounge rooms, so you can have space from the kids. Also great that it has 2 bathrooms.
