Not the Ritz but it cost the same

While this property is in a superb location, the house itself did not meet expectations for the high price. To keep it brief, the place is tired and needs a freshen up OR a full Reno or knock down. It’s virtually beach front but a steep walk down is. It is not suited for the infirm. The stairs are collapsing and important steps made from a stack of bricks ! Timbers coming away near these stairs is a safety hazard and needs to be fixed. Garage area was very grubby. This property is actually two smaller units (half houses) joined together. There is no ensuite. One bathroom in the 1 bed unit side and one bathroom for the 3 bed side. Rooms and beds ok but there TVs and stuff sitting on benches. While the place is reasonably comfortable and had inclusions needed, it’s all very tired and the word ‘luxury’ should not be used when mentioning this place. If you just want to lounge around near the beach, and are not concerned with detail or it’s ok. If you’re looking for something special, no. This price we paid was around 1400 a day. The property is about a Motel 8 level so you’re paying for the location. I know it was peak season, but I feel it was well overpriced. Vacuum cleaner didn’t work. Rarely had hot water after 2-3 showers. We were 5. Wifi OK, TV OK. 2m walk to Vincentia Shops. Sand wedge distance to the beach.

Great location and generally very happy with the accommodation however the outside needs some repair and there are some dangerous stairs and spots in the yard.

Beautiful area

The view was excellent loved it but the deck was very dangerous for a toddler only one gate the two lots of stairs didn’t have one black mold on bathroom ceiling not a friendly house for toddlers lots of glass tables everywhere, plus the hill we were on was very steep with bad steps chose not to walk on those hard to get down and back up for elderly people.

Overseas friends

Great house, good size, good location next to beach and shops for supplies across the street. Very comfortable. Adequate kitchen utensils etc. No internet may impact some people.

Fantastic location

Great house! Perfect segregation of spaces, 2 bathrooms with 2 different hot water systems, plenty of parking out the front (we fit 9 cars). House is located across the walking path to the beach and across the toad from local amenities I.e. supermarket, pharmacy, fuel, coffee shops. We will be booking family christmas here again next year!

Beautiful beach views, short walk to shops

The house was bigger then expected with so much room for my 2 friends and I and our 3 babies under 1. The beach was literally at our back door step via a short walk down the grass. Shops across the road was so convenient and its a short drive to Huskinson and Hyams Beach along with many other places not far!

Great Place, perfect location

Couldn't be in a better place. Beautiful ocean view, and Liquorland and Coles just opposite side of the road! BBQ and outside area were amazing. Even a pool table downstairs. Will definitely come back again!

Perfection

Everything about this property suited our needs to a T. The children got to swim in the sea and build sand castles every day. The shops and cafes across the road was perfect for a morning coffee and when we ran out of essentials. The walk track led us to a playground which the kids loved. Short drive to Huskisson's shops and restaurants. We will be back!

Bad luck

While the property was well located with a beautiful view, the location came with an overwhelming smell of rotting fish or sewerage throughout the whole stay (likely just bad luck with seaweed washed in with the weather). For a premium property that has WiFi capacity, we would also typically expect for WiFi to be made available.

Experience

Beautiful home upmarket furnishings very comfortable beds great view of the water. Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, other people’s property left in draws and draws need a good cleaning, dress left in one of the wardrobes, but the cockroaches were disturbing. Leaving near the water you can expect cockroaches but then you need to spray the houses as one ran under my bed last night I did not have a great sleep.

Very dirty ,this house has terrible maintenance issues

We were excited about our holiday until we turned up to the property. It was very dirty in and out ( this place is lacking maintenance big time), we spent a lot of time cleaning things ourselves . Worst part was the mouldy floors and dampness in kids games room in which we didn’t use at all( kids were shattered) Mouldy curtains , rusty bbq,insect infestation , flyscreen doors struggled to open. Timber floors were filthy ,Outside lights weren’t working. House held a lot of heat and our overall stay was very uncomfortable and wouldn’t recommend staying there unless these issues are rectified. Guy that cuts lawns on ride on spat grass all over our cars and left clippings all over verandas which blew in under the doors, grass should be cut when place is vacant. We weren’t expecting 5 star but at least be clean and we’ll maintained. Location and views were the only positive bathrooms were ok.
