The open-plan indoor living-dining space features an L-shaped couch perfect for putting your feet up with a good book, turning on the Smart TV to catch up on that show everyone’s been talking about, or posting some of your holiday pics using the free WIFI. Stay cosy and warm by the gas fireplace on those winter getaways, and come summertime, open the doors or turn the heat pump nice and low to stay cool.

Prepare a feast in the well-equipped kitchen while still being part of the conversation. Or why not spark up the BBQ and take dinner alfresco out on the back patio, enjoying a glass of Central Otago Pinot Noir while the dishwasher takes care of the clean up.

With three separate outdoor living spaces, there’s always somewhere to breath in the fresh mountain air no matter the time of day. Lay back on the sun lounger, take shade under the umbrella, or bring along a petanque set and challenge each other to a match on the grass.

A five-minute stroll from Kawerau River Retreat you’ll find the Cromwell Heritage Precinct with it’s shops, eateries, and historical charm, and why not take the riverside trail back home afterwards. For more modern conveniences, you’ll find a supermarket, pharmacy, and more shops and eateries in Cromwell town, less than five-minutes drive away.

For adventures further afield, it’s less than an hour to Queenstown and Wanaka, and only 55-minutes to the Cardrona Alpine Resort.
