Nestled in private, yet spacious surroundings Little Forest offers self-contained chalets; ideal for couples looking to get away from it all.
The stylish décor, including modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, blends seamlessly, with the natural beauty of the countryside, all complemented by the music of the native Tui that call Little Forest their home.​

Great farm stay

Was warm and comfortable however no wifi access.Travelling to work was a 30 minute trip however was great staying in a quiet environment.

Amazing place to relax after busy days

Absolutely beautiful. Close to town, but away from the business. Lovely property and animals, great place to unwind after big days or just a weekend getaway. We will be back! Each cabin is self contained.

Perfect rural getaway

We had a great experience at little forest cabin Feilding. Gordy and Carol were so welcoming. Out little one got the opportunity to feed the lambs and had fun with Lucy the lovely dog. We will definitely go back again. Such an awesome place to relax and enjoy Country side.Highly recommend to everyone.

What a find!

We were so very pleased we booked this cabin, it was more than we could have wished for. Beautifully kept grounds and a fantastic cabin with comfortable and smart furniture. We didn't even want to eat out as we wanted to enjoy just where we were. The hosts were friendly and made us very welcome, we shall go again!!

Perfection in Fielding

Had a lovely short stay in Little Forest and only wish it was longer! Lovely location in the countryside but still really handy to town. Carol & Gordy were great hosts and would love to spend more time in their little corner of paradise.

Lovely rural spot, just minutes away from Fielding.

Lovely cabins, everything we needed for our two night stay. 5 year old took full advantage of the walks and 18month old can baa expertly now. Friendly, cheerful reception from Carol, all was clean and tidy. Wonderful location to visit family in Fielding and Halcombe and the wider Manawatu.

Countryside cabin still close to township

From instructions to arriving, check in, navigating through property was all perfect and simple. Including the quick visit to see if anything else was required. Views over the the property are fantastic including the up and close sheep grazing. You have created a great place for guests to stay at.

Very cleaned and a beautiful view.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean with all the amenities available. We even had a little conversation with the owner in the morning. They gave us full privacy. We will come back again to stay at this place

Wonderful country side stay just outside of Feilding, accommodation new and of a high standard.

At night the lovely accommodation is away from the city lights, gazing into the night sky a billion stars can be seen, not that I truly counted them all😂😂 so star gazers this is your chance to view the heavens above you won’t be disappointed. Our hosts were lovely down to earth and very accommodating, thank you so much. We will return,

Clean comfy and charming

Lovely new facilities, beautiful out look, great service, clean with amazing hot water and pressure. Super close to town, yet far enough away to have the piece and tranquility of the country. Totally recommend anyone to stay here.

We have both traveled a lot with our sports and like meeting people. We have been involved with competitive wood chopping, dog trialing, off road motorbike racing, shearing and all farming related things. We enjoy motorcycling around New Zealand when we get the opportunity.
We built three cabins ourselves as a project and they have come up very well.

This property is only a few kilometres from the town boundary. Follow the railway line north and it will lead onto Makino road. There is a Little Forest sign at the gate of 519 Makino Road, Feilding.
