The perfect place for your family to create memories together on the Tutukaka Coast. The accent is on space and luxury.
Laze, read, sunbathe, or practice yoga on the large wooden decks. Have a fire in the tree of life brazier or stargaze as you soak in the cedar hot tub. Chill or gather with friends and family in the spacious lounges and take in the spectacular ocean views or enjoy the sunset over the western hills with a platter and a drink, then retire to your wonderfully comfortable beds.
It feels remote here, yet we are handy to everything. Venture outside our gate, and you’re only minutes from Tukutaka, Matapouri and Whale Bay, and several restaurants and cafés. This area is renowned for its nature reserves and outdoor recreation. Consider making us your base for your family gathering.
Your adventure begins with a scenic 1.2km drive up the hill, winding through lush pockets of subtropical forest and open grazing paddocks. As you ascend, the landscape unfolds into breathtaking panoramic views of fertile farmland, stretching all the way to the sparkling ocean and the iconic Poor Knights Islands in the distance.
The first thing you’ll notice is the quiet - the silence broken only by the calls of the many birds in our forest that is protected by a Queen Elizabeth II covenant. Keep your eyes open for tui, kererū, kōtare, pīwakawaka, and kiwi and ruru. Watch for the harrier hawks that glide on the airstreams along the ridges.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento
Bluewater Heights has 9 properties off the road. Each property has a portion of QE2 Trust land and we all work on preserving the local native bush and wildlife. We work with QE2 Trust with pest & weed control. We can hear the Kiwis on our property at night and that has won our hearts over on the importance of conservation for future generations. The night sky is amazing for star gazing. You can't beat waking up to the view of the Poor Knights and the peace and quiet.
